But I also want to show the stream progress on the seek bar. (youtube colors the already streamed part of the seekbar red). Is there a way I can achieve the same? drag and drop audio player component with play/pause and seek functionality.

Apr 11, 2011I want a chart that has several separate series running in rows across. They are largely separate charts and should not overlap, but all share the same horizontal datetimeaxis. They don't share the same y-axis, however and that's where I'm getting stuck.I have tried having a linechart series and then a plotchart series, but it will only allow a single <mx:series> per chart without having them inside the same series which as far as I can tell will place the charts on top of each other in the z-axis. I can stack them and have them completely separate charts, but it was proving to be somewhat irritating having them align correctly.
Is there any reasonable way of combining multiple charts into one like this? Basically having rows in a table where each row is a different chart but the columns are consistent. or am I going to be best served just by stacking separate ones? an illustration of what i'm going for is here: http:[url]........
Ajax - Making Multiple Asynchronous Calls To Fetch Result From Multiple Services In The Single Click Of A Button In Flex?
Dec 27, 2010In one of our project we are using flex for front end, blazeds/java in the backend. Its an existing code where services are prewritten. I have to make calls to 3 services in the backend (basically 3 remote objects) and get their result and store the result in an object and show the data of this object in a view.
Now in front end we are using Flex and Parsley Framework. I was thinking of the following approaches.
1) Making commands for each service call and storing the result in a shared object (model) and then displaying this model in the view. In this approach the problem is some services are needed in some other web pages, but they donot need the same model. How should i handle this scenario ? Should i make a asynchronous remote call and fetch the result and then again dispatch and event with the event object storing the result.
2) Making a service call , wait for the result then make another call and wait for the result and then make other call, not sure if this is the right way ?
ActionScript 2.0 :: [8] Using FLASHVARS To Show Different Sections Of Movie?
Nov 28, 2005I found this seamingly usefull mini tutorial on Actionscripts.org on how to use the FLASHVARS value in the 'HTML' to controll which part of the Flash movie is shown. But I can't get it to work, the AS gives loads of errors in Flash. The value is set, as I have got a textbox showing it the values. here is the AS I did as an experement,It's just supposed to move the playhead to a different named frame depending which page loads the Flash.the FlashVars value in the html pages is page=one and page=two.

Sep 20, 2009I have a Flex3 application which has to be capable of uploading multiple files and monitoring each files individual progress using a label NOT a progress bar.
My problem is that a generic progress handler for the uploads has no way (that I know of) of indicating WHICH upload it is that is progressing. I know that a file name is available to check but in the case of this app the file name might be the same for multiple uploads.
My question: With a generic progress handler how does one differentiate between 2 multiple uploads with the same file name?

May 6, 2005I am trying to create a nav system that expands to show sub-sections when the user rolls over main section buttons.Let me describe exactly (as best I can) how this would work:A vertical list of 5 menu buttons is stacked and distributed at equal distances.The user clicks a button (lets say Button 2) and Buttons 3, 4, 5 slide down to reveal the sub-nav below Button 2. When the user clicks or rolls back to any of the original 5 buttons, that subnav closes up.Does anyone know of a good tutorial for this type of nav or have anything I might be able to dissect and work from?

But I need to compile all these external SWFs and xml file into single exe file. How can I compile like this. or how can I code like this?

You can see an example, the application is build in .net and it import pdf and publish it as flash projector or web based(swf). How is it compiling all the external SWF files.

Jul 20, 2009How can I populate multiple datagrids in flex with a single datasource that is filtered differently for each datagrid. I'm assigning the event.result from my remote object call to three different array collections, each with its own filter function. When I assign and refresh the filter functions, they each affect all array collections. So, the results of the last array collection refresh end up in all three datagrids.

May 20, 2010I have a flex datagrid with 3 columns. The first column contains the image name(unique key). The other two columns have username and size details. I want to split the username into lastname, firstname, address and some other stuff. Can we have multiple rows in the grid for one image? Tried multi-line, it works but we need to keep adding spaces and its cumbersome. Since each row in the flex datagrid is represented by one index in the XMLList which is enumerated, is there a way to have more than one row assigned to one image and shown in the grid? something like this.

Oct 12, 2010I have a maven project that produces many artifacts. Of course it is kind of against maven best practice (one pom one artifact), but it is Adobe Flex project that produces many *swf modules and it is really makes no sence to create a separate project for each module.
For me it would be very convinient to handle all swf modules as a single zip archive eg. zip archive would be my artifact.
So I am looking for the way to pack and unpack my zip artifact with maven.

Now I want to apply different font size, font color and font type and background color on each row i.e each of the three skinnableContainers.Currently I have defined 3 different skin classes for each of row but I think this is a bad programing. I should create a single skin class for outermost container i.e BorderContainer and any how provide different fonts and background color to all the 3 child containers through that skin class. So, is it possible that I can create single skin class that can provide different decorations to each of the child container.

Jan 6, 2010I have multiple items in my app that I would like the user to click on.Some items are completely different classes.The classes dispatch events and then when the events are captured, some modifications are done to the transform properties of a loosely coupled display object.I want two separate classes to dispatch the same type of event, since I already have an image class that draws images based on a given url... I want the classes to dispatch the events, but then I think I want the difference to be detected when the event comes along... i.e., I would like to recognize the 'origin' or 'sub-type' of the event. Some sort of if/then logic would suffice.

May 13, 2009I've been having a hard time for some days now trying to make a progressbar in AC3. I searched the web and tried several different approaches and attempts but nothing works. I hope I can get some input from here now...
The main portion of the applicataion is working. It's only when I try to use AC3 to control the jumps in the timeline the problem occours.

As I run the code all the trace-statements is printed. But the bytes is 0 all the time. I guess this has something to do with the main problem. I tried to simulate the download-process, but in this way not even the "kirupatxt.text = "TESTING";" is printed in my dynamic textfield.

Progress Loader Text Won't Show Up
Jun 24, 2009I have a SWF file that is the first frame of the movie and it's only purpose is to load in another SWF and show text corresponding to the progress of download completion. When I test the movie (Simulate Download) it just simulates without showing my text with percentage complete. The only way I can get it to show, is if I add a button to click to make it show. How can I get it, so that when someone opens the movie, it will start the download process, show the percentage, and then upon completion, start the UILoader movie?[code]...
