Html :: Built Fith Flex Builder 3 For FP 9.0.124 ?

So I got Bada Wave II.. It shall have FP9 and Adobe site thinks it has! but we see strange banner on top. So I thought - grate - we have it... And I built this fith flex builder 3 for FP 9.0.124 but when I go to it I see nothing but this

I also tried to compile it for FP 9.0.28 which was one of big FP game changers... So I whent to Google and found something that worked on Bada and at the same time was FP9!) It was not working 100% correctly as you can see but any way - I can operate with out navigation... Here are screensho. Note that flash content was unscrollable, unzoomable and browser about was showing ...
So at leasted it worked! So I descided to try and go into html... and modified my flex builder generated html into something as close as possible to that sample that worked and it shows this same wary FP9 logo thing...:... so It seems that I can not run Flex, mxml based projects on my bada... or can I?

When I target flash player 10 in flex builder 3, the index.html template along with some other files (history.js, etc) are removed and no wrapper html page is built.Anyone else experiencing this? I have an ant build script as well, but I was trying to run the built in fb builder.

I have an Air Application which uses mx:HTML to show a html Page. This html page is located in my bin-debug and as long as i start my application out of FB it works fine.
In Project -> Properties -> Flex Build Packaging -> Package Content the test.html is selected
When I build the project by Project-> Export Release Build the HTML file is not included in the Air Package and so cannot be shown.

I am using progressive streaming with VideoDisplay, the HTTP URL provided gets buffered completely even if I have configured it to start playing the video when the buffering reaches 20%, the trace message shows that the playing started(using mozilla /Flashbug+Firebug), but it doesnot show the video till the buffercounter reaches 100% How can I get the video stream to play at the 20% of stream.Code Segment where the check takes place

I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the new Package Explorer window in Flash Builder emulate Flex Builders 'Flex navigator' window?
Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.

When setting up a source control repository for a Flex Builder workspace, what do you consider to be worth checking in? Do you exclude the workspace .metadata folder but keep the .project and other project specific files? Keep both? Throw away both? Is there a guideline you use to decide which is worth holding onto or do you do it out of practical experience?

I'm creating a Flex 4 application which contains different modules in it. The main application contains a style sheet and the modules inherit the styles defined in this file.Its working fine when the swf's are generated using Flash Builder. But when I'm generating it using Ant script, the modules does not inherit the styles and everything looks weird.I added isolate-styles="false" as an additional parameter to mxmlc, but still its not working.

When i run it in Flash Builder (debug mode) the remote object called successfully. but whenever i build the application (AIR application), then the remote object will return no result nor fault, the busy cursor is showing about 3 seconds. then no clue at all. how to get advance fault or something than regular fault event or result event? or anyone have the same experience?
UPDATE: Actually it was failed only for ONE service method, for other method (some of them took longer time to call) the service call is work fine. CASE SOLVED So the problem was not on the service call, but on my result conversion that cause the advanced datagrid failed to render.

I'm working with a fellow coder on a project; he's the Flex guy and I'm the Flash guy. He supplied me with a custom Component he built in Flex, to act as an API. It's working just fine for him when he runs it in Flex.
I installed the .swc file in my Components folder. When I open my Components window, I can see it sitting right there. However, I can't seem to drag an instance of it onto the Stage. It highlights in the window when I click it, as I drag it I can see the little dotted-outline box indicating that something's being dragged, but when I release it it disappears. Nothing on the Stage, nothing in the Library.

The flex title window component is nice and all, but before it shows up it insists on blurring out the background of your window if it's set to modal. What if I want it to just show up immediately or at least speed it up so that the user doesn't have to wait around to enter data. Am I going to have to build a custom component based on TitleWindow to get this or not have it be modal? If I were to do that could I extend current TitleWindow or just copy out the source directly?

I have a bounded object, created using primitives lines in Action Script- either an oval or a triangle. Is there any way I can fill the contents in a specific color
Just to clarify on this- the shape could be in two ways
a) drawing a isoceles triangle based on a variable apex angle
b) two curved lines to form a "lens"
I am not sure if I can use the fill function, as I am not drawing a inherently bounded shape- the closed nature is based on my calculations

I'm new to Flex/AS3. I've attached an example line chart below. I want to know if this type of graph can be created using the standard line-series chart available in Flex (Flash Builder 4.6), or whether there's something drawn below that is non-standard and would therefore require some rather involved customization. The key features are:
-Different line styles and colors (dashed, dot-dash, solid, thick, thin, opacity)
-Placement of units (y-axis "seconds" and x-axis "Hz")
-x-axis zoom/pan control bar below graph (move knobs in and out to set x-axis min and max plotted values)
-Log x-axis scale, linear y-axis scale
-Data Tip (or, some call it tool tip, not shown below)
-SI units for x- and y-axis tick labels.
My guess is that everything should be pretty standard to accomplish using Adobe's built-in charting (with the possible exception of item 6, see below). Is that a good assumption?I'm particularly concerned about the x- and y-axis tick labels (item 6). For example, the x-axis tick marks as a number would be:1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000, 1000000, 10000000 but they need to be replaced with SI units, where k=1000, and M=1000000, so the corresponding marks would be (replacing the numbers above with the strings below)"1", "10", "100", "1k", "10k", "1M", "10M".The same goes for the y-axis, where p represents 1e-12, and n represents 1e-9.I can create an algorithm that accepts a number and outputs a string to do the SI unit conversion. I am trying to understand event propagation in Flex framework and have a following doubt on it:
Scenario: I have a built-in component DropDownList on change of which I want to create a custom event refreshPreview and want to propagate it to a custom component PictureComponent.
In the custom component's mxml, I have added the Metadata directive as follows to register a refreshPreview event with the compiler

Layout Details: In my main mxml application I have laid out DropDownList and the custom component such that both are siblings (i.e. have a common indirect parent)

I am seeing that the refreshPreview event is not getting propagated to the custom component.
I doubt this is because the built-in component is a sibling of the target (where the event got generated) and not a parent. how to make refreshPreview event propagate to custom component?

From a video on AdobeTV, I tried to play with example empWeb (LiveCycle Data Services).In Flex Builder 3 (FB3) everything works fine. When I tried this on Flash Builder 4.0 Beta (FB4) it doesn't work. When I replaced original xmlns declarations (2009, spark, halo)with declarations from FB3 (2006) it works. Could you explain why?I'm using the default SDKs (Flex 3.2 for FB3 and Flex 4.0 for FB4). I investigated this (please see 3 source code examples). I had purshased one licenses for each, flex builder 3 standard as well as flex builder professional. First, I installed flex builder 3 standard and entered the license key, it worked. As it was standard charting library has 'flex trial' water mark. Then I tried to uninstall flex builder 3 standard and install flex builder 3 professional again on 'same machine'. But here I faced the real problem, as soon as I run the exe, the license key automatically gets copied from windows registry file and it behaves as standard edition. Then I tried to use 'manage flex license' option and use 'upgrade to professional' option. Now as my key is for 'Flex 3 professional' and not 'upgrade to Flex 3 professional' it does not accept as valid key. I have few softwares which restrict me from reformatting my system

I have a components and classes project library. Within the library, flex builder only seems to display content/code assist options for top level classes (e.g. arguments, Array) but not other classes such as VBox. Also, within the non top level classes, class properties are not provided by content assist.
