When I target flash player 10 in flex builder 3, the index.html template along with some other files (history.js, etc) are removed and no wrapper html page is built.Anyone else experiencing this? I have an ant build script as well, but I was trying to run the built in fb builder.

I also tried to compile it for FP 9.0.28 which was one of big FP game changers... So I whent to Google and found something that worked on Bada and at the same time was FP9!) It was not working 100% correctly as you can see but any way - I can operate with out navigation... Here are screensho. So at leasted it worked! So I descided to try and go into html... and modified my flex builder generated html into something as close as possible to that sample that worked and it shows this same wary FP9 logo thing...:... so It seems that I can not run Flex, mxml based projects on my bada... or can I?

View 1 RepliesI have an Air Application which uses mx:HTML to show a html Page. This html page is located in my bin-debug and as long as i start my application out of FB it works fine.
In Project -> Properties -> Flex Build Packaging -> Package Content the test.html is selected
When I build the project by Project-> Export Release Build the HTML file is not included in the Air Package and so cannot be shown.

How to change the default templates in Flex? Maybe even add your own? It's just so tedious to have to rearrange, replace and copy/paste everything for each new project, if you want to use swfobject for instance, or if you just prefer a different folder structure.

Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?

Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.
When setting up a source control repository for a Flex Builder workspace, what do you consider to be worth checking in? Do you exclude the workspace .metadata folder but keep the .project and other project specific files? Keep both? Throw away both? Is there a guideline you use to decide which is worth holding onto or do you do it out of practical experience?

View 1 RepliesObserve the Flex program below (I'm using Flex Builder 3 w/ 3.5 SDK). The second combobox is conditional on the first. If a 'first name' is chosen, then you are allowed to choose a 'last name'. If 'none' is chosen, then you are not allowed to choose a last name, but rather prompted to choose a first name.
To see the mysterious issue of the disappearing labels, run this program and choose a first name. Then choose a last name. All is well. Then choose 'none' in the first combobox. The prompt of the second combobox changes back, and the last names are removed. All is still well. Then try selecting a first and last name again. You will see that after choosing a first name, the last names do not appear, although the spaces for them do (and if you debug the program, the correct data appears in the dataprovider).[code]...
Extremely frustrated with this. I've created a simple class that extends the UIComponent. I create an instance of this class in a parent class and utilise the 'addChild' method to add it to the parent. I've overridden the 'updateDisplayList' method of the extended UIComponent to add my own drawing routine using the 'graphics' object.
My problem occurs when I start attempt to change any of the following properties (x , y , width, height) either directly or using 'move' or 'setActualSize' because the UIComponent will no longer display - prior to changing any of these properties the object displays fine. I know the object is still there, the 'updateDisplayList' method is still being called (as I'm calling 'invalidateDisplayList' after each change) and it correctly reports the changes.

And have the Flash read that you clicked the link and then go to the specified place depnending on the HREF.
Basically, I just need to know how to get Flash to read that you clicked the HTML Link.

View 2 RepliesI have a text field that has an html link in it with target='display'. So what i want to happen is when the link is clicked, flash opens a new window called display, then when another link(with same taget) is clicked, it will use the existing open window.
The problem is that it keeps opening new windows.
I know that this works in html, but for some reason Flash is not using the same window.

How do you target html iframes with actionscript within a flash movie? I have several buttons I wish to have target a single frame. I know that in Actionscript 2.0 and 1.0 it only requires a small amount of code, so I assume 3.0 also only requires a small amount of code.
