Dec 4, 2010I have created a flash aplication and need to make a HTML version for people who dont have flash, I found this method on the internet [URL] but dont wish to use it as i dont want seperate pages and the delay caused by 2 loads and the time taken for the script to activate. I would rather detect the absence of flash anddisplay the HTML if and only if flash is absent If the flash was a JS i would just use the noscript taghow can this be done for flash?

Feb 15, 2011I've made a website, [URL]. the stage size is 1000x590. this is big enough for most screens. but some small ones or if they have large amounts of toolbars, cut off the top and bottom of the stage. so what I want to do is, if some parts get cut off, I want scroll bars to appear so you can scroll and see all of the site. it seems to have been done on the [URL] website.

Feb 18, 2010So i want to make a form which people can use to get price quotes immediately. There will be about 15 fields. I have 'some' clue as to how this 'might' be done. The 'if' statement could be used. But that sounds like a lot of combinations and a lot of scripting. I would also like them to be able to send the form to my email if they want.
Now i know how to script the basic forms.. eg. contact forms.. etc. with php and all. So once they've selected specific info from the fields, i'm sure i can have it sent into my inbox. But I don't get how to do the main thing (the price quote display - according to the information selected). Will it have to be XML based? Something to do with a database? Or what?

Apr 27, 2011I am trying to come up with a solution where I can use some application embedded into the website (assuming something in flash to cover as many platforms as possible) where the user can record videos with sound from a webcam that are streamed across to my server so they can be stored.I don't want to store the captured video & sound on the users computer if that is possible to prevent any issues with space etc.that is just the server side of things and need to find some form of flash app that can capture and send the data to there server from the browser.

Apr 1, 2012I am capturing camera on flex for android using air 3.1,and found that the camera is only showing the a part of of actual camera video.When i view camera using normal camera application in android galaxy tab, it shows full camera area but when i am capturing the camera in flex its showing only the center area for it.I tried using setMode to set the resolution, but its not of any use.Is there any way to get full camera area captured inside flex using camera.getCamera ?

Oct 11, 2010From a Flash object, I would like to be able to detect the presence of a webcam that the user might grant access to, without actually asking the user whether they want to grant access. This is to streamline a large application that has extra features if a webcam exists — if there is a webcam, the application will present several dialogs that lead up to the normal cam-security prompt, but if the user doesn't have the hardware, I want to skip over them altogether. Requesting access to the cam before those dialogs won't make sense to the user.
It appears not to be possible to call Camera.getCamera() without the security prompt happening. Is there a workaround? (For instance, could I, perhaps, call getCamera in a hidden Flash object and inspect its return value, or does it block until the user acknowledges the security prompt?)

Jun 10, 2009I have a video capture device on a machine. I have written a windows application to capture the video from this device. While capturing, if i try to broadcast using flash it does not connect. If i'm already broadcasting and then try to capture then my windows application does not get the capture pin of the device. So, flash seems to be taking the capture pin. Is there anyway to broadcast using the preview pin on the device so that i can capture using my application. Or is there way where i can split the capture pin and give one to my app and one to the broadcaster

Jul 27, 2011I have created a SWF file using Flash that loads an FLV file on my local development machine.When publishing the SWF file and generating the appropriate HTML, I can successfully load the video by opening the generated HTML page that Flash creates.However, when placing the generated HTML code in my View,the Flash is loading, but the video is not playing.I think it's a reference error to the location of the FLV file, but I've tried every combination I can think of.I placed the SWF and FLV in the corresponding View folder where I want the video to load, but to no avail.

The green background of the facebook plugin and position is just temp for testing purposes until I can get this page to display properly.
