View 2 Repliesyesterday i made a Flash with CS5, and i wanted to export the Movie as Animated Gif with a transparent Background but this does not work, no matter if i selest transparency due the Export as Movie or if i set it in Publish Settings, the Background will be always opaque as in the Flash App itself, so White or whatever Background is set to the App...I am on s Mac, the only way it worked was to export the Movie as PNG Sequence but i don't know how to easily combine them together as an animated gif?

When I put images with the appropriately desinated colors in flash, it changes the color ever so slightly when it runs in the page. It's JUST enough for it to be noticable. Is it possible to designate a transparent background?

View 1 RepliesI am trying to make an animated flash banner in which a graphic slides across a 774 by 100 px stage which stops after playing once and repeats on mouse over.
I have managed to make the animation repeat on mouse over, but when it does, the graphic only slides to the point on the stage that the mouse moved over.
I have also tried this with a mouse out which works fine but is not quite what I was trying to achieve.

View 2 RepliesSay, i have a text field with some text in it, and i want to make it have a backgruond with alpha value (as in partially transparent, not sure how to make it sound good ^^). This text field reacts to mouse events, such as clicks and rolls out/over, and each event changes the background color.
I've done some digging and ran across flash.text.TextField.backgroundColor and flash.text.TextField.background properties of text fields. They're cool, but not enough to solve the problem. And obviously, if I change the text field's alpha value, the text will also become transparent.
I know I can create a movieclip below the text field and alter its properties to acheive my goal, but I'm wondering if there is a simpler way.
How do we go about making flash movies with a transparent background with the new embed work around: [URL]. I have a tableless site.

and that works the symbol is static until i mouse over and it begins to play the part im having an issue with it making the animation stop when you move your mouse away (MOUSE_OUT)

View 1 RepliesI have a flash that has a background symbol that responds to CLICK event. On top of that symbol I have a sprite that contains a Bitmap with transparent pixels. Both of them are added to the stage, so they are not related directly.
I want clicks on the transparent pixels on the sprite to go straight through to the background. I have read about mouseEnabled / mouseChildren but have not been able to make these work. The symbol ignores the mouse events when I use them, but does not pass it along as if its transparent.
Is this possible to do with flash? Or will I have to re-route mouse events?

Gif animations is going to look like this: metallic looking orb rotates on transparent background on x axis from left to right side of gif file, what I need is that when I upload swf file containing this gif to internet, you can see only metallic orb and everything around it need to be transparent so you can see web page background. View 3 RepliesI've designed a Flash site in CS3 using Action Script 2.0 that has a main flash movie sorta floating in space over a gradient background. I want the gradient background to re-size with the browser, so I thought that the easiest way to do this would be to delete the gradient background in Flash and instead recreate the background in Dreamweaver using the repeat background option and then make the Flash movie's background transparent. (I hope I'm making some amount of sense here).
I've found a few tutorials on how to do this, but so far I just get a white background instead of transparent. I've tried choosing "Transparent - Windowless" under Window Mode on the HTML tab in Publish Settings. And I've tried selecting the movie from within DW and clicking the parameter button and adding a "wmode" parameter with "transparent" as its value.
Is there a way to make a layer transparent?
And is there a way to make a symbol transparent?

The user uploads an image. After uploading is complete the image is displayed the screen. The user can select a particular pixel on the image. Accordingly the image should be removed of that color and made transparent. 1. i tried the getpixel and setpixel32 the image still is very blurr. 2. i also tried threshold its also of the same result - not able to see how to make the output of the image more crisp.
