im trying to make this intro and ive searched a bunch of tutorials, but i cant seem to find what im looking for..maybe im not searching the correct term, this is what im trying to do... i have a map and i want the dashes to appear one after another in sequential order so it shows movement.

Clearly, a button would need to be added for that kind of interactivity?

I am new to flash and trying to make a simple flash website video intro in Flash CS5 Pro.I have a flv viedo on the stage, under an image with a trasnparent center.I have the video on the bottom layer, the overlay image on the middle layer, and the top layer is my AS layer (AS3).
The video is currently autoplaying when i export.All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.

1) The page has two images "Enter" and "Here" together. When you click it with mouse, the two images fly in opposite directions and fade away.
2) After that screen turns bright.
3) An Image fades in which i will use to map different locations using HTML.
So I am doing a flash intro page, but the intro becomes the home page, as in all the pieces come together to create the Flash home page, so that there is just one file for the home page that includes the intro from Flash..how do I make it so that all the parts on the page stay there indefinitely, because right now after a certain amount of time, they disappear due to using the timeline in Flash.

I have made an intro with Adobe Flash using ActionScript 2.0. This intro consists of 82 frames. I want to play my intro once to people visiting my website and subsequently (when the visitor of my site sees frame 82) the browser has to be send to the real mainpage of my site. I already know how to import flash to my site and to name it index.html or index.php and so on.
I just need to know how to create this intro playing once and redirecting to another page and predominantly which codes I'll have to type in my Actions-window (F9).
I needed to make a loop for a intro splash, and since I have only programmed in php before, I tried this (to my suprise it didn't give a syntax error):

I have designing my website with Dreamweaver and am wondering how exactly I can make a non-interactive slideshow for my main page, preferably in Flash or Fireworks. I want the slideshow to begin each time the main page is loaded. I have been using Simple viewer to make my galleries because I don't know html, I'm a photojournalism major and happened to get the entire cs4 suite with my macbook. I'd like to learn to put more than PS and Indesign to good use.

I am after a script that allows me to use my mouse and repel objects within the canvas in Flash. For example, if I move my mouse close to a shape, say a circle, the shape would immediately dodge the mouse.
how to make the objects in your flash move without tweening? example, I have 2 retangles and I want the 1st rectangle to move left and bounce at the edge of the scene. and the 2nd rectangle move to the same direction but not the same speed.

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to make a flash game have save files using shared objects and I'd like to keep all the data in one file with several children.
The three things I'd like to do are:Check whether the file exists (create a new file if it doesn't), then check whether to child named with text in an imput box exists, and if it doesn't create a new file (using the text in an imput box), and then set the value of that node to 0.
Then later I'd like to change that node to another number (the easy part).I'd also like there to be a way to disable the shared objects (incase the user doesn't allow shared objects).I've tried to do this myself using a few tutorials, but I could get it to work.I couldn't use the text in the input box to name the child,and I couldn't check the size of the child node to see whether it existed or not.

Is there a possibility to make this work, like to make the MC Highlight on Mouse over and distinguish the objects when Overlapping? That's to say to colour the MCs when overlapping? What initially came to my mind is when mouse over the MC's to highlight so that we can drop the colour on it. In the ZIp file contains all the as2 codes.
I have this world map (.swf file) that I want on my home page(black background). It's up and working fine, but it flashes a white blank map for about 2 seconds when it first loads and then it goes away. It looks very ugly on a black background and gives off a sense of "cheapness". Anyway, it has got to go. I purchased the world map and they don't offer access to the original .fla file. So basically I want to know how to cover up the first few seconds of the video with black and then have the black cover disappear and let the flash file do its thing.

View 3 RepliesI've created a flash intro for a website and I have it setup so that in the first frame of the intro it opens a popup window, and then in the last frame it opens the actual site in the same window as the intro. Right now when it hits the last frame it opens up the popup window again also! Ack! The code I've used for opening the popup window is:var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("player.html"); navigateToURL(url, "_blank");
the code used in the last frame to move to the site is:var urlReq:URLRequest=new URLRequest('index2.html');navigateToURL(urlReq,'_self');
I'm guessing that it has something to do with re-using the same variable name. I tried changing the code in different ways on the second window opening but still had the same result, or broke it opening up any pages at all. I've also tried moving the two code snippets to different layers. I'm thinking there might be a few ways around this too such as if there is a way to trigger the popup window, and then have the intro wait x seconds and then opens the main site or something, but I have no clue how to go about doing any of this. have the site in question in a temp location currently and it can be viewed here: [Url]
Anybody can tell me how to do this? after the intro in flashcs4 go directly to a website. I made an intro in flash and after the end of the clip need go to a html doc. I've to use ActionScript right?
