Sep 12, 2009I'm trying to export an animated text image, but for some reason, when I publish in .gif format, the text is all screwed up. I have example of it, in the attached file. It worked for me in flash mx, but in flash cs4 it doesn't work. I want the text to be readable and animated, in this .gif.

Jun 21, 2011I added 2 URLs to my project using AS3, when I test the movie the URLs work, but when I open the swf in the browser it does not work.
Is it because I did not upload the project to the server? or there is something wrong with the code?

Professional :: IOS 5 Beta Publishing Doesn't Work?
Jun 17, 2011I recently updated my flash to cs5.5 and my iPad (1g) to the IOS 5 beta. Since then I haven't been able to publish my apps to any IOS device. The apps run in adl and as swf on my macbook pro, but on my iPad (IOS 5) and iPhone 3gs (IOS 5) they just start up and freeze at the stage. I use a loader to load a soundfile and image to the stage right at the start but they just don't show up.
The weirdest thing is that my colleague uses cs5.5 on windows and cs5 on a mac to publish to the same iPad and his apps do work! When I tried to publish on another mac in cs5 I just got the same problem as before.
I hope someone knows a solution for this problem because it is getting on my nerves.
ActionScript 3.0 :: NavigateToURL Doesn't Work After Publishing?

It works perfectly fine when I test it, but after I load it onto an actual website it won't work anymore.
I searched around and the only thing I could find was somebody who said to set the publish settings to "Access network only"-- but it still doesn't work.
ActionScript 1/2 :: Publishing FLA File With Script Added Does Not Work
Jul 8, 2009I hired someone else to do the scripting for an animation that I originally created. It calls an xml file which displays 3 different items in the flash. It works great... except when I open the FLA file and republish it even if I don't change a single thing, the resulting SWF file does not work. I've tried everything to no avail. The script writer is using CS3. I am using CS4 although I HAVE tried with CS3 (on different computer). Both the script writer and myself work on Macs. The script writer even sent screen shots of the publish windows, and I'm selecting all the exact same options. (version 9, AS2). Has anyone else run into this type of problem? I'm at witt's end. I really need to be able to make changes to this file and republish it. I can post the FLA file if someone wishes to take a look.

The following function scales printResults_mcto the printers printable area but because isimpossible to predict the aspect ratio of the printable area someblack background always leaks out. May 7, 2011I have edited the pageflip script and file to suit what I need to do and my issue is not related to the usual addition of pages or content etc... but is to do with publishing the file. I have increased the sizes of the page from what they are in the original file and this is where the issue lies because when I come to publish the file as an exe the content no longer seems to fit the window when published and you have to expand the viewer. The instructions for quite a lot of the pageflip is there and pretty easy to decipher however outputting/publishing the file seems to be unclear.
Can somone please point me in the right direction for resizing the stage or changing the settings so that the published file shows all the content without the need to resize the window?

Dec 13, 2008I am using this code for fullscreen flash with horizontally centered content. The code I am using is working pretty well in Firefox (every once in a blue moon the background jpg won't load in firefox3) but my biggest issue is it pretty much never loads in IE. Does anyone see any problems with how I am handling this that it would be having issues in IE? Please let me know as this is pretty much driving me crazy

ActionScript 2.0 :: LoadMovieNum Does Not Work With Fixed Background
Feb 10, 2009I have this problem with loading new movie on the same page with fixed background.Here is an example of what i want to do . I have two flash files main.swf and movie1.swf, and main.swf loads first when i open index page. On the button of this main.swf i have action

which should load new movie in the same window and everything works fine when i test SWF file but when i embed it in a HTM page with fixed background only first move main.swf loads fine as it should but when i click on the button in this main.swf to load new movie movie1.swf in the same page it will not load??? It starts to load and than just stops. I guess there could be something wrong with my CSS style but i have never been working with CSS as i am only beginner in web design. Could anyone help here please? Here is y CSS style.

Transparent Background Doesn't Work In Safari?

Jan 23, 2010Anyway for some reason when i test scene the box comes up showing my flash fine but when i go and locate the .SWF in the folder that all my flash fla and swfs are then for some reason its only a graphic clip and movieclip animation that displays and the rest of the background is the background colour. I checked this by first changing it to black and preview. To which the background changed black and then did the same and changed the background colour to blue and the same thing happened, the background in the swf changed to blue aswell. I have no actionscript in the scene and the majority of the things are just art besides a graphic clip the movie clip animation.

It's surprisingly addicting (I've gotten to the point of having an endlessly scrolling background with a moveable ship) but am having some trouble.I am currently making my first flash-based game using actionscript 3.0. However,I've come across a hurdle that I have not overcome: changing stages.I am making a SHMUP (it doesn't look very good, but I'm making it for experience) which has everything going from left-to-right ala R-Type.I have an endlessly looping background, but at the end of the stage I want to change the background, as well as all the enemies (they get upgraded per level) and enemy spawning positions.

when I go to Full Screen. From what I have found most people use a black box but that won't scale in FS.

May 26, 2009don't know what trigger this on my Flash CS4, suddenly i cant see any object on my stage it just plane background and i can change its color, but when i start to draw i can see the initial drawing but when i release the mouse the object is gone, try to test the movie and the object is there. i try to close the program and open again but still the same until i discover that this behavior happen when my publish setting is set to action script 3.0 changing it to 2.0 and the problem goes away. i did not encounter this kind of behavior with as3 before.
