Why Is Swf AS2.0 Results In Error 'Movie Not Loaded' On Player10
Oct 14, 2009i created swf file on flash 7 and when i loaded it on my webpage it does not work, all i get is "movie not loaded".

Oct 28, 2011I'm having a casting issue that I am hoping to resolve. I have 2 arrays:
1st array = the clip's parent that I'm trying to target 2nd array = the clip I'm trying to target
When I trace the results, I can see the clip and the clip's parent, they exist on the stage and are qualified. When I try and get the clip by name in part 3, I get an Error #1009.
Can someone lend insight into what I'm doing wrong, or suggest a better way of doing what I'm trying to do?

Nov 16, 2009I made an email form and it sends data entered in the form as httpservice to the url where the php file is hosted which contains the mail() call.
During testing and locally it gets sent to my email id. But when I embed it website it throws the following error.

Why is it so.Is it some security sandbox something something.. (don't know much about that in detail).I'm trying to send the data to my gmail account.What should I do. I'm using Flex 3 (any way its not possible via Flash too)Instead of relying on server side script like php, can I directly send it to my gmail account (or any other possible mail account) using server sockets (binary). Can you please guide me. After a lot of googling I found that there must be some file that verifies some ports etc. If so how to setup?

I've posted a lot of code below. It still loads / traces fine on frame 1. On other frames only the last two come up in a trace (though they should all be the same). Then when returning to frame 1 they are all null.

The path is verified to work, but I always get this error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
I used the code from the documentation and still receive this error!

Professional :: "movie Not Loaded" Error
Feb 11, 2010My flash files work fine in test mode on my desktop. After I ftp them to my site, they don't show up. I get the "movie not loaded" error if I right click. The swf is referred to in the same folder. I've tried it with an absolute url, and that doesn't help. I've been working with flash for a while and have never had this problem. I'm publishing in flash 9 Actionscript 3. The files are there, the background color referred to in the html is correct. The swf is not showing up.

Nov 23, 2009i am making flash web site with flah cs3 as3. everythig was perfect but nnow codes are getting crazy. there is a photo gallery that has little picture thumbnails on right and when one of them is clicked , that photo is loaded from out of swf and appear in big size on left. today as i was fixing last little things codes gave me errors..Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type.
i changed fle types i saved pics in jpg, jpeg, bmp, png. but nothing works.

Jul 12, 2009in Flex I'm able to load a Image into an Image component (mx:Image) via a URL and it will display it, however in Flash if I try to load the same image via URL I get an unknown file type error. If I browse to the URL in a broswer, I can view the image.

Mar 8, 2012I was working on a project and Error#2044 was driving me crazy, I try to catch all errors, review and over review my movie loaders but nothing, that error does't allow me to use preloader because it fires off from the begining. When I was totally on my knees I decided to start the whole project from scratch, but, just for the sake of it after making a new flash document I try to simulate downloading and the SAME error fire off!, What? there is nothing, not even a line of code, a pure fresh movie and this errors lurks in my movies.What could It be, it is just my Flash?, this has no sense, It is an empty (fresh movie), why does this error fire off?

Jan 9, 2010my problem is that i need to make a reisze, cause the screen resolution for other users. My main and news movie works perfect, but the others movies re-scale everything bigger. The problem of the external loaded movie is: this movie needs the funktion:
Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
Stage.align = "TL";
If i dont have this code inside the movie is not going to resize fullscreen into the main movie. Inside this movie im scalling photos and some mc's You can take a look what i mean under: [URL]
If you take a look to the bar where the Number of pictures (30) are you will see that the lower bar and the pictures is not going to scale to fill the full screen if i delete the this code;

Feb 25, 2003My _root movie is nothing more than a interface with navigation buttons. When someone clicks a button another swf is loaded into an empty movie clip on _root.
My Problem:I understand loaders and use them all the time, however, I still to this day have never gotten a loader to work with loading an external movie into a currently playing movie. (ie: in my _root movie you press the "Searching" button and searching.swf is loaded into _root.contents --> contents is the empty movie clip)So anyways... where does the loader go? The only results I've ever had is as SOON as the loadMovie method is called the movie hangs until the entire movie clip is loaded. Then the loader runs... thus making it totally useless.

Oct 3, 2007I have a movie that opens up full screen and load an external movie into it. No problem there but I want the loaded movie to keep its original size and not resize with the full screen movie. In the screenshot, you see how the yellow external movie loads into the fullscreen green movie. The white rectangle is only for size reference (photoshopped it in) and is not in the actual flash movies. The yellow movie is supposed to be 800x125 pixels but resizes with the fullscreen of the green movie.
