ActionScript 1/2 :: Drag And Drop Movieclip - "droptarget" Function Does Not Work?
Aug 11, 2011
I have 12 movieclips on one layer, each are draggable some perform an action some dont. The problem is the levels when they are dragged some are above the other clips on the same layer and some are below. I want the dragged clip to be above all clips. Also on the stage there are text boxes over the "droptarget" they have to be on a layer above to be visible. So therefore the area where the text box is does not allow the dragged item to perform its task, the "droptarget" function does not work.
I added a movieclip and named "bot_mc" in another movieclip. Then, In Action panel, I use bot_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.DOWN, xxxx). However, when I drag and drop the container movieclip on the main stage and compile. There is no error occurs but the MouseEvent doesn't work.
I am loading a movie that is a .SWF into another .SWF. Just like all the tuturials do on this website. When I load a movie that has Drag and Drop options in it.. it doesnt work.
[IMG]file:///C:/Users/Majken/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg[/IMG]I?m trying something perhaps a little above my level, as I have just recently begun using flash (like a week ago), but I hatred doing this code ,but it does not work.
I ve got a drag and drop code working, but what I really want to do is have a check answers button that tells the user, you have none correct, or two correct or all wrong... I have one target area, and 3 correct answers (out of 7) so I would like to let the user put as many ansers on the target as they want and then check if they have any correct, also a reset code would be nice to put everything back where it started... I tried to break my code up but the events then went mad, Here is what i have so far, it works instantly and lets crrect answers stay and incorrect bounce back..
stop(); yes1.visible=false; allcorrect.visible=false; doit.text="drag over the words that mean Vision";
ErrorTypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.at draft1_fla::MainTimeline/down()TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.at draft1_fla::MainTimeline/release2drop()Been working on this for a couple of hours and just cant seem to get my head around it. Why does this error keep appearing, what is it i need to do for each object in the array to simply drag and drop
Code:- import flash.events.MouseEvent; var cereal1_Array:Array =
I have a drag and drop game. You listen to a sound for exampl "bread" You proceed to drag that mc to a box. If it is the right object I want to remove that mc and splice the array so it doesn't choose that object anymore. However I have notices two things.
When I splice(0) a specific element - then nothing works. When I splice the cuurent indexed element ie: the last element to get right - it doesn't actually remove it from the array. I have highlighted the key code parts.
I have a function that states when movieclip1 is dragged and hits a line then it stops the drag, however it seems to stop the entire drag function in the swf on the other movieclips even though they arent called in the function.[code]
I have a movie clip that I am dragging onto another movie clip and i want it to stay put. But once I add in another 'OR' statement in the if statement, it freaks out and doesn't work. Why is this?
This code DOES NOT work: Code: btn1.onRelease=function(){ stopDrag(); if( (eval(this._droptarget) != btn1Hold) || (eval(this._droptarget) != btn2Hold) ) {//CHANGED LINE [Code] ..... For whatever reason it doesn't like the extra 'OR' in the if statement! why!?
I created a movie clip (which I add to the main class of the scene in FlashCS5 with addchild). Its registration point is on its upper left. Its class is:[code]The problem is that it is not moving properly, like jittering.
I have been going nuts all day trying to figure out why my 'drag and drop onto a target' movie doesn't work. I have a movie clip to drag onto another movie clip which is the target.when the first clip is dragged onto the target clip i want the target clip to gotoandplay(2);
the clicking and dragging and stopdrag() etc works, but when I drop the piece over the target, it just does nothing.here is my code on the MC that is being dragged:
I made a flash site and one of the pages has drag and drop functions with drop target actions, so that text appears once dropped onto a target.It works fine but when I have it loaded inside an external editor, the drop and drag still works but the drop target function stops working.
I dragged and dropped my movie clip on to the stage, and it doesn't play. Other movie clips play, but the one I need to use doesn't play. I even added a function that is supposed to play the clip when you click on another clip, and it doesn't work although others do. I've attached the fla for reference, the clip that I'm trying to use is wipe3.
But I do not want to Drag and Drop the original movieclip (A). But a copy of the clicked movieclip (A1).To do this I make a copy of the clicked movieclip and put in on the same place as the original one. And set function A1.startDrag();The problems which i have now is the handling of the mouse events. Because Flash was bussy with movieclip A, and is now interrupted by movieclip
.onPress { make moviclip 1 set location A1 under the mouse cursor
In order to improve user experience we want the ability to have an animated movieclip of a turning wheel- and have the ability to drag and drop it anywhere on a defined area
We have built the rotating wheel as a swc file.
How do we do the drag+drop. Examples that I have seen, cater to only dropping of images.
I'll try to make a movieclip for drag and drop event this is a code that I've find on the web:
Code: package { import flash.display.Sprite;
[code]....
But this one make a vectoriale circle on the stage and makes it draggable.Now I've a movie_clip called "mc_Image" on my stage (that have inside a image background and some transparent button).
I am trying to recreate a drag and drop effect that seems like you are dragging the whole screen to navigate around... like this-->I'm assuming its a huge movieclip that is being dragged around the stage with a nice tween effect to it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.I am trying to tween it to look pretty, but when i drag, it tweens it in relation to 0,0 of the movie clip. So the upper left corner moves to the mouseX, mouseY position.I think there is a math to figure this out, but I suck at math.
I need to drag and drop a movie clip onto a certain area and if the position it landed is right I do not want the users to be able to drag the clip again. How can I stop the clip being dragable?
I'm trying to create this drag and drop sequence where the "temperature_small" movie clip is dragged and dropped onto a spot on the stage. I've got the drag and drop part of the ActionScript ready, but the trouble comes when I want to re-size the movieclip to make it smaller, I keep getting the error code:
Im building a game, where the user has several images as movieclips. He can drag them to an area of the stage, and selecting them, he could rotate it. Does anybody knows some tutorials on hoe to start?
This animation is for a kindergarten course. I have 6 different colored teddy bears on the floor and the bears are to be placed on the middle shelf in the room, in no particular order. I have the code in place to drag the bears, and they return to their original location if dropped in the wrong area. Everything works, except I can't make the bears stick to the target area. The target area has to be the same for all 6 bears.
The slide function is supposed to bring the shape back to its origin (passx and passy are the coordinates), through an Enterframe event. It works fine, but it only works once. And if I drop the shape, if I pick it up again, it's impossible to "cancel" this action (which means the shape keeps going back to the origin). I tried removeEventListener but no luck.
Lately im trying to do some experimental things with JSFL, and i was wondering if it is possible to listener for an event when a component (that i have made) or movieclip is dragged from library on the stage.i want to create something that i'll get a component and drop it on a mc. when the component is dropped on the mc the component will save the mc as a reference in some var.maybe with events isnt the way to go but i have no clue if this is possible or how to do it another way.
I am having problems with optimizing a code. I am not new to Flash (not an expert though) but as much as I work and read it seems that there are lots of things I don't know. I hope you could help me with this.
So..I have 192 buttons (each in different colors) and 192 arrows. The arrows are invisible in the first place. When I press one of the buttons I want the coresponding arrow to appear, hide the mouse and make it act like a mouse. I also want to be able to drop the color of the button on an external movieclip.
