I am using the _DoFsCommand() in Fire Fox 1.5x on Mac OS 10.3x with vers7 Flash pluggin and am getting the following error:

I am trying to generate an <object> tag only embed code and cannot get Firefox to pass Flash along the FlashVars values. This seems to work everyplace else that I've tried it but fails in Firefox. Here is a sample of the embed that I'm using:

Without AutoHotkey and Firefox -unfocus since it's involved in operating another program and it doesn't work on linux and without Restore Window Focus After Flash addon since doesn't give you control over flash tabs.implementing this gBrowser.selectedTab.unfocus(); method and bind it to a keystroke in Firefox v3.6 ?I've also tried (based on the addon above)

in IE this just pretends its loading forever also, i got the width and the height to adjust to the window size and its working great (in firefox anyways) but thats not what im really after, i want the height to be 100% but i want the width to adjust based on either the height of the window or the height of the object. anyone know a trick for that? i cant seem to find a way to do it in SWFobject

I'm having a problem with youtube video embedding;
In some places on my site (like news etc.) video is normally displayed and can be watched, while in others (forum topics mainly) it flickers whenever I mouseover it (making a new HTTP request to YouTube, as I can see in Firebug).
It definitelly has something to do with CSS rendering; when I disable JS nothing changes but disabling CSS causes it to work properly.
Firefox version: 3.6.12
Flash version: 10.1.82.76

Is there a way to set focus to the embed HTML element using JavaScript? Test case: embedded YouTube videos on a page.
I have no control over the embedded Flash element. So, is there a way to set focus on it by using only JavaScript?
I read somewhere that calling the element.focus() method works only in IE. I need a browser-independent way that works in Chrome/Firefox.
We have an asp.net website that uses a flash movie to do HTTP file uploads, it works seamlessly on IE. When using firefox, it fails to upload .. HTTP debugging revealed that the page we are posting to returns the following:

When i first load the page the flash container div is set to display:none, i then apply some jQuery to .fadeIn() and set the div heigth and width size. Fine. But within this div i embed the flash object this way:

Basically the issue is that I need to use the old flash object only for firefox as otherwise by using the iframe method form vimeo I'd get random black screen for the video, the solution is to use the flash object, only for firefox but for some reasons I don't get the video displayed while i can see the object in the DOM.
Down the end of the code I try to trace(english[j] but with undefined the result. However I can trace(english). How comes I can't target an index.

I have use the code from the publish option which didn't work at all.I also tried the SWFObject javascript thing, and that worked, but It wouldn't auto play and there wasn't anyway to set it. So far all the code I have tried works in Opera 9/10 and IE7/8, but not in firefox or chrome.[code]
View 7 RepliesI have a flash video loading in a modal window. It works in others browsers but not Firefox. Firefox opens the modal window to the correct width of the object, but with no height. I have come to learn that Firefox does not recognize <param> and instead uses the data attribute. However, when I remove this attribute, the modal opens with correct height. I have an XMLListCollection object that contains items with an ID property. I want to find one particular item by id and then get it's index in the collection. This is done to be able to tell the comboBox (whose dataProvider is the XMLListCollection) the index of the item to display.

This object is ok, and shows up correctly in debug mode. The problem is I have a country name i.e. private var _country:String = "Angola";, and I want to get the corresponding value 'AO' from the XML object. Do you know how to do this?

I have a bunch of objects that each contain a color swatch movie clip. The color swatch contains a bunch of frames, each a different colored rectangle.The objects that contain the swatch clips also have a mask layer that defines what portion of the color swatch is revealed.
When I have one frame in that mask, everything works correctly. I can change the swatches with no problem.However, I need to create different frame for the mask. Once I create a second frame with a different mask, I get a Null Object Reference and everything breaks.
I tried creating shape tweens between the frames, making each mask into its own movie clip, and putting each new mask on a different layer - but none of that works.

View 12 RepliesI'm trying to embed an MP3 player in to dreamwear for this site but when I test it the player doesn't appear. I contacted the devs and they notified me to use the swf object code for embeding the swf file provided in the index.html. They also told me to make sure to include the javascript folder with SWFObject javascript. When I try testing the site all I get is the download flash player button.

I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.
