ActionScript 2.0 :: 0% To 100% Scale And Alpha On Rollover?
Sep 6, 2006
I have 2 objects on stage.a movie clip called btn1. and another movie clip called icon1.I would like to know how to script an action such that when the mouse is rolled over btn1, ...two things happen....first that icon1 scales from 0 to 100% of the size that it currently is.and secondly that it's alpha changes from 0 to 100% as it scales up.That's it.To get an idea of the entire setup... there are basically sets of these btns and icons ...and I would like the icon to appear for each button in the fashion described above when the corresponding button is rolled over.
Is there anyway to create an alpha mask out of a grayscale image in flash?i am using the color adjust filter to create a bleached out kind of image. I would like to make the white transparent.
I'm trying to create a scale in and out roll-over that's nice and smooth. I have had a fiddle with the scaleX and scaleY, but can't make it transition from original to enlarged size and back again smoothly..
I have to make a thingie whereby when u enter values into 2 input txt boxes an image modifies its scale and alpha accordingly. Now I have done everything I am supposed to but the funny thing is NOTHING happens. I'll post the code (I applied it to the button which I think is right)...
on (release, keyPress "<Enter>") { if (_root.scale>100) { gotoAndPlay(1);
Im very new in the flash business and i started making a gallery after this videoi get 2 errors when i write te action code for alpha change. Is it because i use ActionScript3 instead of 2? because i made it with flash CS3.
i think this is like the 5th time i'm asking this question, i'll ask it differently this time. I just want the button to fade out on rollover. at the same time, i would like text (that is loaded externally in a text field called "caption") to fade in also on rollover.
I want to tween a mc (a picture) scale it on RollOver and RollOut. but with this happends [url] code is here (altered version of gotoandlearn.com tween tutorial)[url]what solutions is there to this problem? just want a smooth and nice scaling.
i'll ask it differently this time. I just want the button to fade out on rollover. at the same time, i would like text (that is loaded externally in a text field called "caption") to fade in also on rollover. i've tried sooooo many things - scavenging this board and others.
I have a bunch of thumbnails which I want to be treated the same on rollover/rollout/press. Right now, I have it working so that the alpha changes on all of them on rollover/rollout/press, but to do that, I have a code for each individual thumbnail, and I know there has to be a way to just have one code that applies to all of them instead of repeating so much (but I'm just not sure how to do it). This is what I have right now:
Does anyone know how I can achieve the following effect: As I rollOver one object, everything on the stage except that object fades out slightly (i.e. change in alpha).
I'm loading png files on movieClips attached on the scene dynamically (reading an xml file). then i'm making a tween (with actionscript) to scale the container clip on RollOver.
the png file pixelate when the clip is scaled(to 110%).
If you rollover and rollout a single instance it works perfectly. When I place two instances side by side (alterning the instance name for each script obviously) and move the mouse over each of them the script falls to pieces, with one instance stopping the other and generally screwing things up!
I want to reduce the alpha of a movie clip when mouse is rollOver the movie , the alpha will be continuously reducing over frames, i dont want to use tween.
[Code]...
i this code when i rollOver the mouse on a movie clip, it shows the alpha reducing over time , and at roll out alpha increases over time. but if i rollOver and rollOut in fractions of seconds , it flickers (like 60-100 instead of from the current alpha lvl), So i am looking for some code that can help me in fixing this problem.
Scenario: main moveiclip with 4 other clips in it. I want the rolledover clip to scale up and all the others to scale down and blur.
Question: What is the most effiecent way to code this. Would it be a "for in loop"? I am trying to minimize the code and would rather not use a whole bunch of if then statements.
[URL] i want the object to fade out but in the object there's a lot of overlapping pictures and each becomes half transparent. how to make the movieclip to change the alpha as it was without objects?
How can I convert the current scale of the instance to 100% so I can easily "visualize" and manage the instance when I modify its scale? Here's the actionscript, it works, but I just want the temp._xscale and temp._yscale to be in percentages, not real numbers.
Code: USflag.onMouseDown = function () { var temp = USflag; onEnterFrame = function ()
[code]....
One last thing, what's the tag you have to put that is designed for boxing actionscripts? I'm suing [ code ][ /code ]
My Flash image will not scale.if you zoom in, it gets chopped up. if you zoom out, it has a big blank area. What should I change in order to have this Flash image scale just like the rest of the site? [URL]It is the Flash in the center.
The script for my timer worked for one button but as soon as I set up the other 2 buttons to do the same, I started having a problem where the rollover action would go after the set amount of time was up but then would repeat itself once after the set amount of time was up again. just to clarify, if it needs it, the reason I don't have a rollout attached to these buttons is because I want the menu to stay out until you leave the menu area
so I have an invisible button called menuin_btn which sits to the right of the menu and covers the rest of the stage where the content will be, so you have to rollover that area for the menu to roll back in. The "rollin" in my code brings the movie clip to frame 16 (the end) where I have a gotoAndStop(1); command to get it back to frame 1 so the rollover can be used again. I've attached a zip with my current flash file and swf and here is what my current script looks like on the main scene:
I am making a ball move from left to right and back. but when I rollover twice quickly, it also accepts the second rollover command. I would like it to accept that second rollover only when the first one is finished. I mean, I want the first to be finished before it accepts another rollover.I know it is simple to solve this with a tween using frames instead of as, but I was wondering if someone knows how to adapt the script.
I'm using actionscript 1.0 and 2.0 on flash Pro 8 and keep getting an error when I test the movie. Here is the error:
[Code]...
I've tried to create this rollover navigation...starting over 6 times already. Is there different language / coding for 1.0 and 2.0? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
