I hope this is clear. I've been trying to find a tutorial on this but I'm not sure if I'm using the correct terms, which is why I'm having no luck.

ActionScript 3.0 :: How To Get MovieClip As Background To Flash Page

Jan 28, 2010

I am just wondering how u make a movieclip the background to a flash page using coding from as3? Also, how would u get that movieclip, to be the perfect scale? For example, the movieclip does not stretch, distort, but yet fills the screen of a computer no matter wat the computer's set resolution is. Lastly, how do u get a pixelated / halftonish effect on ur movie clips? (the "experiences" page has an example of what I am talking about.) The site below has an example of everything I am describing: [URL]

Flash :: Modifying The Background Color Of Page In HTML

May 28, 2009

I had published the Flash project which resulted in the creation of a HTML file. I previewed what the web page would look like by opening the HTML file in a browser. The first obvious issue was that the page was not centered, but left-justified. I think that I know how to satisfy that issue by reading the HTML file into Dreamweaver and adding a <center> tag just below the <body> tag. The issue that I cannot figure out is that my page is a bit smaller than my monitor size, so there is naturally the white "fill" areas to the margins. Is there a way to change this color to black?  Is that the bgcolor variable that is in the <body> tag?

Is it possible to just embed an actionscript file? Because that is really all I need to run. Side note: What is the easiest (and fastest) way to pass params to actionscript using javascript?

Flash :: Ensure Background Of Object Matches Page?

Apr 14, 2010

Since there is no way that you can make the flash object transparent, there needs to be some other means by which you can match the background. I thought of maybe creating a ActionScript/Javascript bridge, but I wonder if this is the route to take.

Change A Background In Flash?

Oct 25, 2009

I am attempting to change the background of a pre-developed slide show a client sent over. In the attachment the original background is gray (called "back"). I want to change it to the background called "bluebg". It works (somewhat) when I import it to the same layer that the gray background is on and convert it to a movie clip, but it covers up the navigational buttons on the top right side of the movie. It appears that these pieces are a part of the background and not on their own layer, but they are clearly flash elements required to make the show work properly, so I am unable to replace the background with the blue and keep those navigational items. Can someone take a look and tell me what I could be doing wrong? Or better yet what I can do to achieve the feat of apply the new blue background?

Flash :: Change TabBar Background Positioning

Jul 12, 2011

I have a TabNavigator with custom skins on the buttons and inside the content. I want to put an image behind the individual Tabs. One long bar of about 20px high that runs the width of the control. The buttons and the navigator content are both spark components while the actual tab navigator control group is of type mx. The only property I can change is the background color. Is there a way I can just tell the background to position itself as top="-10" or something similar or do I need to go the CSS route?

A very good example of what I mean can be found here:[URL]. You will see 6 small thumbnails which, when you mouse over them, change the background image to match. My design, I want to be a lot simpler. If you look at the following image you should see what I'm after: [URL]. 5 small thumbnails on the left, when you hover over them, they animate and the big 'red' rectangle changes to display the image.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Clicking Button To Change Background On Flash Website?

I've seen a tutorial for changing the background inside of flash based on buttons to click. However, these colors were palettes and not of backgrounds such as jpeg. What I'd like to do is to create 3 buttons and place them on my flash website. These three buttons allow the user to click on them thus changing the background. So if you're visiting the about page and click one of these buttons, I don't want the user to go back to the home page after clicking.
