ActionScript 2.0 :: ClipEvent - Reset Or Refresh (unload, Reload) This Function So It Works Correctly Everytime Load A New JPG?

I have a blank container mc into which I am loading JPGs after you click on a button. There are 10 buttons in the movie, each associated with a different JPG.This container_mc is part of a function called on the main Timeline.The Flash movie is 1 frame on the main Timeline. This code works correctly on the first JPG when I click on a button for the first time), but then when you click on a different button I believe it just uses the dimensions and coordinates of the first JPG. How can I reset or refresh (unload, reload) this function so it works correctly every time I load a new JPG?

I need some help? Anyone experience this problem before with IE8 FLASH bug? Can not get this to work on all subsequent refresh to the flash. I have a flash piece which simply renders only on the first initial load. After that, if i refresh or visit the page, it does not load correctly. It seems I am having this problem with the swf only on subsequent loading of the page or whenever a refresh happens.

This is my first attempt at a game in AS3.I'm currently experiencing a problem which I'm sure is a result of my poor understanding of programming concepts.My problem is this, every time I call the function to rebuild my level, the game progressively slows down.I've tried to clear everything, but somehow something is still causing the slow down. I'll attach a zip with all of the files, and also I will add the main code to this.The attempted clearing happens in a function called cleanup() and the level setting up in setupLevel().[code]
i'm working on a project that uses php and xml to link my database information with flash. I've successfully allowed flash to read the xml contents. I need to randomise the data i retrieved from the database, so my xml content will change everytime i refresh the browser. However, i realised that the flash content didn't change like the xml content. The script to read the xml is written on the 1st frame of my 1st scene. Is there a way to read the xml again everytime i refresh the browser or re-enter the scene?

I am using a datagrid. It has itemEditor components, combo boxes, etc. as aprt of columns.datagrid.invalidateList() method works to reload the datagrid with new dataProvider data.But, for me it is appending to the old data and new data gets added below the older data. I am not able to fix this reload of datagrid.

i look though Google and forums and all is in AS2 I have a script that edits the XML in flash , but it wont updatei tried adding + (Math.random() * 999) to make it keep reloading but it dont worki think i need a script that will reload/refresh XML every 15seconds , is that possible?
That's the question already there in the headline- is there a way to trigger a "full reload"? I have a problem with a file that's heavy on XML-loading and -interpreting and MC duplication and whatnot...
...and no matter how much retouching and restructuring and refining (and other words that start with "re") I put into it, after about 20 minutes it slows to a crawl, presumably because of a cache overflow.
So I figured I'd just find a way to completely reload the FLA- preferrably while passing values to itself so it knows what options and values the user had selected and what screen he was on.I guess the last resort would be a plain HTML-reload / refresh... but that is really only the final option... I'd prefer the user would not notice too much of the reload- at least not through the inconvenience of having to navigate through menus again to get to where he was...
Just wondering if its possible to reload a swf into itself without hitting the browser refresh? Essentially, by clicking a button, I want to start the swf over, so all the variables are reset etc, without having to do this within the browser.
At my site [URL] I have PHP/MySQL talking to flash, when the holder movie opens it loads my home.swf into the content movie clip... It works fine once but if you click the home button (which runs the same function) or refresh the page it blanks out the text field and won't reload the content.

I've been making a game and want it so you can play again - when I try and send it back to frame 1 (it's preloader) it doesn't really work. I was wondering if there was a way of basically refreshing or reloading the whole swf file?
I want an mp3 player stretched at the bottom of the screen that won't refresh on page reload. I just want to embed a basic mp3 player in some flash, or use jquery, or ajax? Not really sure. I'm most familiar with jquery and would prefer that route. I just not sure how you could have a div that stretches through every page, but only being defined in one page.
I have a photo gallery that runs in a container, which is added to the stage like so:

I want to have it set up so when you click on a "gallery" button, it reloads/refreshes the gallery to its initial state, because the "internal" navigation of the gallery isn't very intuitive...and so the only thing I can think of is essentially to remove the gallery and re-add it, whenever "gallery" button is clicked, which resets the gallery to its initial thumbnail view. I've tried fumbling around with removeChild, addChild, simple if statements, etc.

I am having some issues with my loader. What I have is one loader object that will load 5 different SWF loading xml galleries.It works fine the first time it loads, until I unload it to reload another gallery... then it will display its loading but nothing shows?

I'm not new to flash as2 but as3 is a whole other animal to me. What I have is on button click my script will load a swf movie into a movie clip (videoLoader_mc). What I'm trying to do but can't seem to get is when the parent swf gets to a certain point in the time line I need it to unload what ever movie is in that videoLoader_mc. how to unload xml correctly. I need to unload an xml file on release of a button, then load new XML. Currently I am unLoading the initial xml by unLoading the target clip. I have parameterised movie clips on the stage. By clicking each one, a thumbnail gallery, that is loaded from an xml file should apear. The problem is that if an xml file has less photos than the previous, the new apear, but the old also maintain. So how can I reset/unload the previous gallery, before the new one apears? [code]...
I finally finished my game and now whenever my game communicates with my php file/mysql database it fails when the file is being run off the server, but somehow it works fine when played locally.

I really want to finish this project that I'm working on, but this stupid problem keeps holding me back.
When I try to Load variables from my PHP file on my webserver from my local computer everything goes fine. But when the swf file is actually on the webserver the Load function fails to return any result with no error.

What happens after this code runs is that the text boxes dont get filled with ANY text, not even the Logged In As before the variable. So I guess the "startupvars.onLoad = function(success){" code is not being run.
I'm using Flash CS3, exporting for flash player 9 and having troubles with the code below only in Firefox 3 (flash player 9 or 10).In IE 6 & 7, all works OK.The code below should show small thumbnails of images. It does work on everything I tested except firefox 3. What is weird is that if I empty my cache and load the page online, it does not show any thumbnails or sometimes only one. However, if i reload the page without emptying my cache, it will then work perfectly.Here is my code :

I have a FLASH portfolio that opens up with 4 options. The 2nd option works. But if you click on the first or fourth option, instead of going to their respective scenes it goes to then 2nd options scene. Here is the kicker though - if you refresh the page Control+F5 everything works fine How come it only works after you refresh the page? here is link FLASH PORTFOLIO.
