ActionScript 2.0 :: Color Tween From Gray To Colored ( Normal ) On Mouse Roll Over?
Dec 20, 2009
I'm playing around since days with the Color.Matrix.Filter and cant get it working. The Problem is that i have to implement it to a existing project which was done by someone else.If i do it from scratch it works.COLOR TWEEN FROM GRAY TO COLORED ( Normal ) ON MOUSE ROLL OVER Existing Code ( not on Frame one of the Project, its inside a Movieclip which will be placed on frame one of the main stage / scene.
I have been playing about with the "Changing colors with Actionscript" FLA found on this site. Basically, when you move your mouse over a coloured box the movie clip changes to the corresponding color. This is the AS
Im trying to get a movieClip to change its tint on roll over and back to normal on roll out. But this has to happen gradually like a tween. Im trying to use the code for alpha tween but its not exectly i also tried the tweenlite but im to confused :S here is my code:
i've been trying to code a small variation into the normal roll over roll out animations... i want the animation to stay on the last frame once i click the button. but when i put the code in it dosent even bother playing the rollover/out animations it just goes to the end frame...
i want to change a colors tint and store that color for later use to apply to dynamically created sprites, for some reason the code changes my place graphic as expect but when i draw a square using the Colortransform.color property the color always in gray scale?
So I have a menu that fades in on a movie clip rollover. It fades out when the mouse rolls out over a 'hit area' mc. All is working fine except when you move fast off the hit area. Sometimes the fade in menu remains up when the mouse should have traveled over the hit area and told it to fade out... any reccomendations to remedy this?
I need to create, from a given Bitmap/BitmapData of a PNG file which has transparent and semitransparent pixels, another BitmapData which is a copy of it, but all the pixels (well, the pixels that are not alpha 0% actually) must have a specified grey color value (0xdddddd).
I am using lightbox++ to load images outside of flash in order to make that work I have to set wmode=transparent in the object properties But doing this lightens the gray color used in the swf.. Without adding wmode=transparent Screenshot with wmode=transparent
I'm a student currently trying to learn Flash CS3. However I've encountered a problem with the paint bucket. In my assignment I've created a simple rocket, each part with it's corresponding layer. Now I need to go back in and fill the body in a light gray color. I did so successfully with the nose cone. The problem now is that the bucket won't fill any other area no matter what I do, or which layer is selected.
I am trying to make a toggle button where, when the user clicks it, it changes from grey to red. I am using movie clips rather than "button" symbols because, when switching between states, buttons look kind of bouncy after you click them. I have everything working, however, because I am using movie clips the "hand" cursor does not appear when I hover over the buttons. I am using very basic code:
I have this snippet of code I've been running successfuly on my image buttons grouped into one MC. It applies changes to the buttons I am not rolling over, i.e. if I were to roll over a button the rest of the buttons in the group would dim and blur and etc, but not the button I am over. All worked fine until I decided to group buttons one more time. With my limited knowledge of AS3 I was able to put all the actions to the buttons except into making the button I am over to stay the way it is. In my understanding the problem is in the line:
Everytime I want to insert frames or keyframes after a tween, from whereon the object should rest, it is just enlarging my tween. How can I finish the tween and go on with normal keyframes and frames?
So I'm trying to change to appearance of a spark DropDownList when it's in the normal state. I thought I color used the borderColor property but that seems to only change the color of the border when the list is open.

I havve accidently created extra unneeded key frames in a layer, in the middle of motion tween. I was wondering how to change these keyframes, without deleting them so not to change the length?
I have a movieclip with an instance name of hl1 on the main timeline and a movieclip with an instance name of img_holder nested inside hl1. I want img_holder to tween when i roll over its container hl1, however i can't for the life of me get it working. [code]...
I want to get a mc tween (redBus_mc)get pass trough the main mc (street_mc)when the user rolls over(busLine_mc) a certain place (acts as a button) on stage. The tween should only pass 1 time on stage. But somehow with this peace of code the main mc dissapears and only the tween is playing. I am sure I overlook here something, but just can't figure out what it is.
and just as many of you I'm migrating from AS2 to AS3. So far I had absolutely no issues with the migration due to the fantastic easy to understand tutorials around the web. That until I found my nemesis: as3 components Well here is the deal:I'm trying to make a datagrid that will display a list of online players in a game. This list have to have their names in different colors (gold and white).Upon mouse roll over they go on a "light green" color (JUST the text) and return to their regular state on mouse out.It used to be easy on AS2 since I had access to specific tutorials about that, but now on AS3 I feel completely lost.I've managed to get the text colors by a code I found that sorta "cheats" by replacing an inhibit class inside the datagrid forcing it to accept html code. This is what I've got so far (the code has been simplified for better understanding):
I have a movicelip that has a cirlce with a gradient fill. When I rollover I use a color transform to change the color. I'm not sure how to get the color transform to return to its original gradient fill once I roll out of the movieclip
var overColor:ColorTransform = new ColorTransform;overColor.color = 0xffcc00; mc1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, buttonOver); function buttonOver(e:MouseEvent):void{ mc1.transform.colorTransform = overColor;}
what i have to put to change the color on 0xAAAAAA? and... can i put all in a function? and... can i put a text on that mc, with the change of color of text too on roll over?
where when you roll over a circle button that I have on stage the circle spins. Then when I roll out the circle stops spinning. I think the best way to do this would be to remove the event listener but I'm not sure. Here is the code I've got to get this thing moving:
ActionScript Code: // Add Listener to the Rotate Button mc2_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, rotateButtonClicked);[code].....
I want to get rid of the typical Flex roll-over color in list-based components, and to display my own style of roll-over rendering. Setting useRollOver to 'false' is not an option, since disabling that will also make the List.isItemHighlighted() function to always return false. My custom renderer relies on that function. Can it be so hard? Is there no way of setting that roll-over color to transparent? Is there some other way for my renderer to figure out if an item is highlighted?
How can I change the rollover color of AdvancedDataGrid 's header? It's light-blue by default.I tried using a HeaderRenderer, but it does not help. There is a 2 pixel color border on the top and bottom of the header that I can't control.
I made this Code to scale the movie when mouse is over and turn it to the normal size when mouse out, I got this error and i don't understand it (TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "mc1" to flash.display.MovieClip. at Scaling_fla::MainTimeline/DoMe()TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "mc1" to flash.display.MovieClip. at Scaling_fla::MainTimeline/reDoMe()
I created a flash cs3 animation with about 6 layers.
I am going to place the .swf file into an html page I created with Dreamweaver. I want the swf file to only start playing when the user puts the mouse over it...and then stop when they take the mouse off. I know this needs to be done in the actionscript 3 in my flash document.
I thought it was something like this:
stop(); addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, playMovie); function playMovie(event) { play(); }
Basically I have a button and when i scroll over the button, the movie then follows the mouse, which is fine. But when I click it, I want it to stay under the mouse. I have given it the same actionscript on the 'down' state to follow the mouse, but it starts from a certain point. I don't want it to start from that point; I want it to stay the same wherever the mouse is when I click it.
So basically, the button follows and when I click, it stays in the same place.
