ActionScript 3.0 :: Tween Animation - Roll Out The Circle Stops Spinning?
Jul 7, 2011
where when you roll over a circle button that I have on stage the circle spins. Then when I roll out the circle stops spinning. I think the best way to do this would be to remove the event listener but I'm not sure. Here is the code I've got to get this thing moving:
ActionScript Code:
// Add Listener to the Rotate Button
mc2_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, rotateButtonClicked);[code].....
I'm trying to make an animation and it seems like an impossible task. I'm not a beginner, and this is harder than it first seems to be.So this is what I need: to make a tween between a partial small circle to a big circle. What I mean is I want to use the Oval Primitive tool and on frame 1 I'll have a circle (radius 100px) with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 230 and on frame 50 I'll need the same 100px circle with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 300.
im using flash with AS3 and i use the instruction var myTween:Tween = new Tween(waves, "y", Strong.easeOut, waves.y, puntop, 3, true); for making simple animations, the think is that when i call a URLRequest the animation just stop and freeze.
I would like to be able to spin a wheel in flash, this wheel has 8 sections to it split up equally, it spins for a random amount of time, 3 - 7 seconds and then stops. the section which lands on the marker is the result and will take you to a specific frame. Also i would like it when it stops to gradually slow down however this is not vital.this code works for just rotating a wheel but i want to know how to randomly stop it and how to take it to another frame.
I have a banner, and on this banner there are three wheels which spin continuously by way of motion tweens. What I want to do is have them stop spinning for a few seconds and then continue spinning, this process will be repeated every time.
So my question is: How would I accomplish this?I know I could just add a bunch of frames to stop the wheels from spinning, but I was wondering if there's a script that will do this without having to add frames.
I want to create a button that toggles but has a roll over, roll out and click animation. Anyone willing to point me in the direction I need to be so that I can achieve this. I can create the roll over and roll out animation for the buttons but then how could I toggle between the two buttons. Ultimately this is for a start and stop situation. I want when I roll over the button for it to have a transition then click and it toggles to the alternate button with animation. I have been tackling this now for a week and with no success. So far I have found ways to toggle but loose the animation or vice verse.
I try to convert a game made in another language in AS 3. So far things went good but...I am having a problem on how to implement some things. For example I want to make an animation of a planet spinning ( from some couple og images )actionscript ( I would prefer to set speed of frames from code at one point )? An example would be nice or some ideas. But if it cant
im trying to do is have a button that shows an animation (created by a duplicateMovieClip function) with onRollOver and stops the animation with onRollOut. It works when i roll over and it stops when i roll out, but then it continues in a loop up to the point where i rolled out (instead of cutting off completely as i would like). Id be extremely grateful if you could tell me where im going wrong.
I was able to create an animation which only runs when I place my cursor over the animation box.The animation stops playing when I remove the cursor off the animation box.I was able to do this using button rollovers. How do I apply a URL link to this animation. When I place my curser over the animation box it plays, and when I click on the animation box I would like it to link to a web page.
I have several MCs on the stage. Each have a basic animation. They have a button embedded so I can click on them. When I click on the first MC it starts animating. When I click on another MC I need the first animation to stop. Is there a stop command I can put in there that stops the other animation before starting its animation?
I have a movieclip with an instance name of hl1 on the main timeline and a movieclip with an instance name of img_holder nested inside hl1. I want img_holder to tween when i roll over its container hl1, however i can't for the life of me get it working. [code]...
I want to get a mc tween (redBus_mc)get pass trough the main mc (street_mc)when the user rolls over(busLine_mc) a certain place (acts as a button) on stage. The tween should only pass 1 time on stage. But somehow with this peace of code the main mc dissapears and only the tween is playing. I am sure I overlook here something, but just can't figure out what it is.
I am no master of Flash. I was wondering if there was a way to tween the radius of a circle to be placed on the circumference of the circle. I want a student to see the radius being transformed to a curve and then placed on the circle. I will be teaching my students the concept of a radian.
I have created a movie clip loader in my main movie and once I click on the button in main movie it loads external swf files accordingly.I have also added script so that the external swf will be scaled from "0" to "1" on both the X and Y axis. it works sometimes. But sometimes it scales movie not upto 100% it scales it around 20 to 30 %.I am not getting why? My code is correct or what?
I'm new to using as3 and I've been trying to do a roll over for an animation. For some reason, no matter what I try the playback will not load the rollover and I keep getting this:
I have a animation which plays from frame 1 to 10 and then stops. I have this animation inside a button. I have this button on the stage. Now when i play the movie, the animation in the button is played once. What i now want is that i want the movie to play once every time the mouse is rolled over this button.
I'm playing around since days with the Color.Matrix.Filter and cant get it working. The Problem is that i have to implement it to a existing project which was done by someone else.If i do it from scratch it works.COLOR TWEEN FROM GRAY TO COLORED ( Normal ) ON MOUSE ROLL OVER Existing Code ( not on Frame one of the Project, its inside a Movieclip which will be placed on frame one of the main stage / scene.
so when i use it it has no errors no bugs and its like just goes to an animation or just stops (its been happening with ALL my games ive made and all the codes are correct and should work i've had help on it already i'm the animator i had a actionscript person working on it but he bailed and said he cant fix it but anyways i can send you the file if you gimme your email i tried uploading it to zip but i dont know how its too hard anyways on media fire and mega upload you cant send stuff to other people with a basic account.but anyways if you know what the problem is already from the description that would be helpful cause it should be something SOOO simple to fix cause this is happening with ALL my flash games
I'm creating 18 enemies (simple circle sprites) using a for loop,Then (using Math.random)I'm selecting 1 enemy at random and making it travel down the screen,Once it's at the bottom of the screen, it's y position will reset back to zero. However, I've got this problem where my motion tween comes to a complete halt after approximately 1min and 37secs.whyI've attached the .fla and .as, however, here's the .as if you can't be bothered downloading it: (Enemy1 is just a MovieClip I created)
So I have a button I want to be able to use over and over. When you roll over the button, it does an animation and has a dynamic text box in it. Ovbiously im trying to make each text different for each button.
I have a circle on top of an image that's fading in and out. When I tween the image, a white border appears around the circles on top of the image. This doesn't happen when the circle is below the image layer, and it doesn't happen with a square. Any idea what's going on?
Below is an image of the hairline white border around the black and blue circle.
I need to draw a circle in certain amount of time. I found this code but it uses an enter frame. Is there way this could be written so it can be controlled by time? Code: var speed:Number = 0.05; var radius:Number = 50; var angle:Number = 0; var xpos:Number; var ypos:Number; [Code] .....
My flash web page works good but when it starts for a first time (you go to link for the first time and web is not in your cache) animation stops after it is loaded. I have same problem after Ctrl+Enter export from Flash, sometimes I have to re-export few times.
my file works fine in the first loop but after the first loop the more it loops the more stuff stops working. and eventually after like 3 loops the animation stops the graphic is changing at different times and its all all over the place.i'm not sure why this happens i've had many theories. i'm not removing event listeners, maybe the text should be told to change upon the end of the exiting tween event.but i tried to do all of that and it still didn't work.
The tab stays at its place once mouseover takes place. do the mouseover on BEST PROPERTY DEALS tab and you'll see the issue. how to make the animation smoother as i tried but i wasn't able to make complete cirle's animation smoothly as the MC used to come back the same path it took in the first half of animation.
On a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.
