ActionScript 2.0 :: Email Flash Form W/checkboxes In ScrollPane Example/Tutorial Request?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a tutorial or working example involving a email flash form, which uses:a scrollpane - which houses an indefinite number of checkboxesan input field for emailn input field for name...and the form uses PHP.[Brief overview - I have a page that provides a listing of companies. There are several hundred, so I placed them in a scrollpane. Each company has a checkbox next to it. When a user selects a company - they can select more than one - types in there name and email address, the form should send the information associated with the checked boxes to the designated email address.]I'm able to put all the elements together, and get them working fine. However, I'm stuck at the form level - trying to retrieve the checkbox information, as well as determining which checkboxes are checked. I'm using this as a base example to work n particular, I'm having a problem calling a variable from the 1st frame of the swf from within the form movieclip, so that I can load that and pass it to email.

How would I put buttons or checkboxes in a scroll pane so it will scroll.I tried adding them as children but they seem to be attached to the scrollpane but not inside. they do not scroll they just extend out of it?Is there a way to put content in a scrollpane besides text. The problem I'm trying to solve is dealing with a large number of checkboxes in a small area. The checkboxes are dynamically generated from the script.

I have checkBoxes within a scrollPane on the main stage. The buttons associated with those checkBoxes are also on the main stage (can't be withing the scrollPane). But I can't get the actionscript to work.
Checkbox for Blue (placed on main stage) work's fine Checkbox for Red is the problem one Instance = the instance name of the scrollPane Identifier = the Identifier name of the content within the scollPane

I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.

I have used the kirupa tutorial on a flash email form and it works GREAT! The only thing is I want to have required fields that need to be entered in for the form to send. If the user doesn't enter anything, it will ask them to in order to send the email.how I can do this or adapt it to the kirupa tutorial code?

I've created a form in flash to for customers to send email from the website. I'm using action script 3 - (mailto: ) There are two problems.
1) It doesn't send. A blank email form comes up that the user has to fill out - doesn't work with their email client.
2) How can I get it to validate?

I am successfully inserted a PHP-script that communicates from the Flash-file. But the tutorial I found doing this, didnt have a guide on how to insert checkboxes in the Flash-file and how to configurate the PHP-script for more input objects.
In the first place I am interested in inserting checkboxes, would be glad if anyone had a good guide on how to further develope a email php script.

I am having some issues with a php email form that I am using in my AS3 project. the form works perfect and all communication is good.however when the user is on the page and wants to tab to the next text field it jumps to one of my hyperlinks on the same page and not to the next text field down on the php form.
is there any way to stop this from happening.I have tried placing the php form on a seperate layer in a seperate mc and I have done the same with the hyperlinks .you can see what I mean by visiting this development site.(after entering go to contact)http:[url].....

I have found a bunch of AS3 tutorials on making flash email forms with PHP. Is there anyway I can make this work from a CD or a user's desktop? about 99.9% of the projects we make are meant to be viewed from a CD, and I can't make any of the samples work from a CD (or my desktop).

I have been looking at tutorials for adding an email form to the flash site that I am building. Everything on it works including receiving the email. The problem is that none of the information inputted into the form shows up in the emails I receive. I have tried following the tutorial for building a Flash webpage email contact form using Actionscript 2.0 and the PHP script written in Dreamweaver to process the website visitor's information.When I receive the inbound email message in my inbox, it only contains the "Name: ", "Email: ", and "Message: " titles that I wrote into the PHP script followed by nothing. The actual visitor's info and text that was entered into the text inputs and text fields on the Flash webpage is missing.I have a button symbol instance named "sender" on the root timeline. When clicking that to send the email, Flash does not make use of the Boolean value returned in the echo PHP function of the variable $sentOk to move the Flash movie timeline to either the success or failed messages on those respective frames of the timeline. The movie just stays on the current frame which is all of the form objects and the "sender" button.[code]My GoDaddy web hosting account ( on a Linux server ) has assured me that PHP is allowed to run on my remote web domain. Does anyone in the Forum, any of the moderators, know of why I am not receiving the same email results that Lee demonstrates in the PHP Email tutorial?

I did a flash email form with AS2 with ASP as my host doesn't allow php. So when I clicked send the email did send and I did received an email from my site but there are no content in it.

Basically I've created a simple flash form which is linked to a PHP processor to email to a client. I have both simple text input fields, and the ComboBox and DateSelector components from the flash CS3 menu.
Inputs from the text fields work fine and appear in the emailed form, I have set the var fields on these. However the ComboBox and DateSelector inputs don't appear, and i cant figure out how to set the var fields on these. How do you get the text/whatever is chosen from these components to actually appear in the emailed php form!?

I had to put the entire "form" and the buttons in a movieclip itself, that lets the form and the other text "fade in". The problem itself happens when the fading in occurs : The movieclip that holds the form starts blinking between the form and the thank you page for as long as the parent movieclip is playing the fade in. When the fade in stops (stop on parent movieclip) the blinking stops. I don't know how this is possible as the first action in the form movieclip is 'stop()'

When submit is clicked. It just says waiting for server connection. The email is never sent. I think the problem is with the php.

I believe my problem lies within the email_data var. And I believe the problem is the "&" that has to be there. If I take it out I dont receive the information placed inside the corresponding input text fields.

I went through the tutorial on creating the email form with php. I followed it and made my own movie, uploaded it to my webserver and tried it. I havent recieved and emails. Then I downloaded his source file and changed the email address in the php and uploaded it and Its still not working.
