I have built in some accessibility to one of my flash websites where you can increase the size using a Combobox - the problem is when I expand it to font size 18 the font obviously goes over the textfield and the scroll bar doesn't increase to compensate for this![code]...

i have been using AS2.0 for quite a long time. And i started using papervision3D too.I am using tutorial made by Lee Brimelow's cube tutorial. but i want different results. So long i am able to move the cube in one direction and that is my requirement. But in his tutorial he as link to urls. what i want is to expand one face of the cube which is clicked to expand to fit in the screen.(i am also using fullscreen and stage resize).

Is there any function that allows to do this? Say I have an swf that is 400 pixels high and i add some content into it that is say 600 high, can I expand the whole swf's height to fit this new content or is using a scrollpane or something the only way this can be done?
View 14 RepliesI am very new to Flash and would like to find some way to have a movie expand from the page and open larger. I have tried having it open in another window, but that looks cheezy. It would be great to have it sitting in the page (right now it is 375 X 280) and then when someone clicks on the video it opens, without any borders, just viewer, to 900 X 675. I have looked online at various players, but none do anything like this. There has to be a way to make this happen. Right now I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and just using the embed player that is part of Dreamweaver.

The text field would likely include around 80 headlines. I found code to show/hide a string of text, but not formatted tlf text.
View 5 RepliesI have created a tree with a custom treeitemrenderer where I have added a textinput box next to each label. My data provider is an ArrayCollection. When I enter value in the input box, I can see the value fine as I expand or collapse the tree using the disclousure arrow. There is a strange issue when I try to expand and collapse tree from the mxml page with a button click to expand and collapse tree using the following code.
The problem is as I expand or collapse tree, the values I entered in the input boxes appear to be moving.
For example, I have entered 15 in input box 1. When I expand and collapse tree, 15 moves to another input box, and moves to another, and then it moves back to where it was entered as I keep expanding and collapsing the tree. I am still learning Flex. I am not sure what is happening, it is something to do with arraycollection.

Each scene has previous and next scene buttons.In each scene there is a row of 3 pics 100x75 in the lower left quadrant of the page, I would like them to expand to 500x225 in the center of the page when the user mouses over the thumbnail then shrink back when mousever event is done. point me in the right direction. I would like it to grow (tween) to the new size but and alpha fade would work as well.

I tried downloading the scripts and the whole structure of that site and try it with my own SWF, but it didn't work. When I contract my window by the sides, it makes my SWF smaller by all proportions.

I am loading a different external SWF into each one using Load External SWF behavior.Although each SWF is a different file, they are exact copies of each other (have exact same functionality); all 3 are text boxes with both scrollbar scrolling and mousewheel scrolling.Problem is, when on the stage at the same time, they all three respond to mousewheel scroll at the same time. I need them each to respond to users' mousewheel scroll only if the mouse is over the respective area (so that way they don't all scroll at the same time).The file was developed for me and the developer is not available at this time.

I wrote a short AS program to create a tileList and it functions fine, but I need to be able to scroll the list of pics according to the position of the mouse with out actually moving the scroll bar.... example of what I mean: the farther to the right mouseX is on stage, the faster my tileList scrolls to the right, if mouseX moves to the left of the stage, so does the scroll bar...Here`s my code so far:

View 3 RepliesI've gotten to chapter 5 in my AS 3.0 classroom book but I need to use wisdom today (CHAPTERS before I gain it for myself),I need to create a custom scroll bar with buttons that function just like the UIScrollBar but more visually suited to our projects. the boss demands it.
I found several tutorials on creating the custom scrollBar, however, they don't include the buttons and I'm unable to find a tutorial on how to create a button scroller (I figured I could link them both to my "info_txt" after creating them separately).

I just made a scroll area with buttons and draggable items. All the code is written for vertical scrolling, the content I need to be scrolled is going to be horizontal. how can I rewrite this code to be horizontal scrolling? it seems like the scroll button (the one you drag along) doesn't stay confined to its scroll line either.

scroll pane loads scroll bars for the movie clip as soon as it loads the movie clip, so there is no scroll bars the movies height and width are one, but after its loaded it changes its size to bigger than the scroll pane, but the scroll bars dont show up because of the size of the movie clip when it was first loaded, can anyone help?
