What i have is a preloader on the first scene and when scene 2 is loaded then it plays it.. the problem is not here, the problem is with my loading bar... I have the loading bar on the first frame of my preloader scene but it's inside a movie clip ( at frame 10 as i can remember ). I have this code on it:
Ok, i tried to edit it and all that crap, but whenever i play the movie the bar is fully loaded ( meaning it won't load normally )... I guess the problem is that i'm not giving the path correctly... but i can't figure out how to give it... Ahh, and yeah, the bar is inside an MC called "pre" and the bar is called "bar"...
I don't know if this helps, all preloader codes are the same but here is the code i'm using ( this is placed on the first frame of the preloader scene, and it's not inside any MC, it's only on the first frame with the second frame "looping the first" ):
I want to have an AS3 app load images from url supplied by the user. But I don't want a malicious user to be able to load an SWF file in place of the image, such as with an altered extension "maliciousSwf.png". Well, not sure how big a security threat that is above and beyond the ability of the hacker to decompile swf, but I think that ideally such behavior should not be allowed.
So, is there any way to prevent this? When people allow users to load images in their Flash apps, do they somehow guard against loading of SWF? Or is this really absolutely no big deal?
I need some help? Anyone experience this problem before with IE8 FLASH bug? Can not get this to work on all subsequent refresh to the flash. I have a flash piece which simply renders only on the first initial load. After that, if i refresh or visit the page, it does not load correctly. It seems I am having this problem with the swf only on subsequent loading of the page or whenever a refresh happens.
My wife is working in flash and she wants to load a swf inside another swf. I found a few links, tried to do as explained, but when I load the page the embedded swf is bigger than it was supposed to be and is not aligned well...
PS:I managed to resize the embeded swf, as you can see.This is the test page and here are the links that I found 1: Embed Swf In Swf 2: what is the script to play swf within an swf
I'm designing a flash website for someone, and he is wondering if there's a way for me to set it up in flash but have the body of the website be in HTML so he could go in at any time and edit the website.This sounded easy enough, but after playing around with things, I'm not sure if it's possible. Is there a way to have flash load an HTML file inside a Flash file when a button is hit, etc?
I have a source file (test.fla) in the file i have a symbol called "vrviewer". I am trying to load an HTML page inside the viewer (vrviewer). The html page loads 28.ivp using the supplied ivp player called "pureplayer.swf" (this is called out in HTML (28.html). I would much rather load the ivp file right into flash (if i could) but do not know how to even begin doing that. I tried using the geturl function to call the html file into "vrviewer", but that did not work.
There is an event class called IVPEVENT in cs3 but im not sure if i can load my ivp file using just the class
i have attached a ZIP file with all the files i just mentioned.
I have been informed that it is possible to load an html document inside flash, that you use an HTML tag, but I cannot find it in the scripts, can anyone show an example and explain how to make it work or if there is a tutorial for creating this inside of
I have a flash movie clip and need to load an external image inside the clip that reference to an external URL.. like URL i did something with XML but the image persist on every clip because it loads from actionscript using the x and y cords.
I posted a question similar to this not so long ago however I have trawled through the forums and could not find an answer...I am using Lightwindow which is a version of lightbox that can have ANY form of content and DOES support .swf files.I have linked the test link on my page to activate lightwindow and open the swf file. Light window opens the window to the correct size but does not display any content. If I go directly to the flash file then all the test images load.Here is the code for that link:
<a href="http://www.monsterbox.co.uk/ollie/lightwindow/gallery/gallery.swf" class="lightwindow" params="lightwindow_width=800,lightwindow_height=345" >Link Name</a> I understand that something along the lines of
I have created a popup window in a flex website and I wanted to load a HTML page inside that popup. I tried many ways to do it but that way unsuccessful. Can someone recommend me a approach to get this done?
I have a simple Google Maps API with external data loaded from XML file (location, lat, long, info etc.). I also have a custom marker as a MovieClip (marker_mc), which works fine, but I want to add a Dynamic Text Field (label_txt) to this MovieClip and load a simple data (<label>) to it from same XML file (distribubtion.xml), so as a result every location would have it's own label on the marker.I know how flash loads XML data, but what I don't know is how to include that in Google Maps API (if it's even possible).
i was creating my portfolio using xml gallery script from this site. the thing is that it loads one picture at a the with a preloader between each load. is there a way to load the first image and keep loading the rest so there will be only one loading time? here is my action script:
I need to load multiple images from ZIP archive and do some actions after all files from ZIP archive have been loaded. I use FZip library to manipulate with ZIP files. My problem is that sometimes the loading of all files are not going.In this code I starting loading process:
loadedImages = zip.getFileCount(); trace("Starting... " + loadedImages); for (var i:uint = 0; i < loadedImages; i++)
I am having a problem loading a swf into a movieclip inside another swf. I keep getting this error message:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at contact_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()
after googling the error, I have come to suspect that I am trying to load the swf before the stage is ready for it. Although, I load another swf and it loads fine. How can I verify which part of my movie is causing the problem?
I felt this was game for the actionscript forum as well. The site: [URL] Ok, I thought this site was done, but turns out that some people are having troubles viewing the images (nothing happens when you click on the thumbnails). At first I thought it was compatibility issues, but then I noticed it happened on my computer too! This is very strange because it works sometimes, and other times it doesn't.
I having a feeling that it has something to do with the code loading swf's from inside of two different movie clips. The code was originally made for the main timeline, but because of the style of navigation I ended up splitting it in two - and now the same code lies in two different mcs. *still with me? Each MC holds 30 thumbnails that call on the swfs. Check out the site link above to see how it works... or doesn't work. Keep refreshing and trying to load the images again if you want to see how it messes up (it just doesn't do anything)Here's the code that is in the two mcs:
i am loading an XML, inside it there is a node like this "<yweather:forecast day="Thu" date="11 Feb 2010" low="16" high="27" text="Partly Cloudy" code="30" />" and i need to load it but when i type "_xmlData.channel.item.yweather:forecast" being _xmlData my XML var it says that there is a problem because of the ":", and i don't know what to do to load it.
how would I LOAD an image.. into a movieclip.. then resize the movieclip to the size of the image..
now I know how to put the image inside of the movieclip with addChild(), but then when I try to resize the movieclip to the size of the IMAGE, it changes the size of the image inside the movieclip.. now I know that when a movieclip scales so does everything else.. so my question is.. how to go about modifying this to make it work no matter what
basically I have a editor so to speak and when you drag the blips it will resize it.. but the problem is actually LOADING the image into the movieclip because once it is same width/height as the movieclip (and shows that way on the screen) my script will handle it perfectly. is there a trick to this.. here is the code I've got so far..
Code: function dispatch(e:Event):void { this.removeChildAt(2); var l:LoaderInfo = imageLoader.contentLoaderInfo;
[Code]....
the loader can change so I remove it from the movieclip when the dispatch function gets called, imageLoader is the loader which loads the image.. sizes just returns either max sized resized proportions or regular height of the image.. note "this" or rather the element I'm using is by default 100x100.
I have a main page. There I have a button that has a loadMovie script. It works perfectly. When you press it, a movie (1) plays in the empty MC i placed in the main timeline. So far so good...Now the problem is that inside the movie that is loaded, i have a button that wants to load (with the loadMovie action) another movie (2) inside the loaded movie (1).
