ActionScript 2.0 :: Force Loadmovie To Scale Swf To 100% Stage Size?

May 14, 2009

I have some external .swf's of different dimensions. I'd like to know if there is a way to load an external swf to the stage and force it to fit to 100% the size of the stage it is loading into?Also, is there a way to handle the antialiasing of the scaled clip to ensure smoothness / clarity. The swf's contain both vector and jpg's and when scaled down appear jaggy.

Professional :: Scale Entire Contents Of Stage Down In Size ?

Jun 28, 2010

Can a finished flash file be resized.

Stage is at 1684 x 1322 animated map operated by buttons in a static key located outside of map border, all on stage. Map also pans/zooms.

Two scenarios:-

1) resize stage and all contents down to a different size.

2) resize the animated map down but more so than the static key (sits outside the map) which should remain readable.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamically Scale Loaded Movie To Stage Size?

Apr 28, 2009

I have a stage with an external SWF loaded onto it. The stage scales dynamically to fill the size of the window.

Two problems: - I want certain items inside that loaded SWF to scale horizontally and vertically to fill the size of the stage.

- I want other items inside that movieclip to stay the same size, but be "attached" to the top and left of the stage.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Get An Object To Increase In Size The Lower It Goes Down The Stage And Decrease In Size The High It Moves Up The Stage?

Dec 29, 2009

I'm trying to get an object to increase in size the lower it goes down the stage, and decrease in size the high it moves up the stage.

It only needs to increase or decrease by a small amount. Basically, it's for a game character. To ad realism to his movements, it would be nice to have this feature.

This is where i'm up to so far:

Code:
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.TweenEvent;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;

[code]....

I think I need something like:

if (object moves up)
decrease
else if (object moves down)
increase

ActionScript 2.0 :: Scale Movieclips Using Loadmovie

Jan 20, 2005

I am loading some thumbnails (jpgs) into some movieclips using loadmovie. Easy enough. I want to scale the movieclip to increase the size of the thumbnail on rollover. The problem is when I use loadmovie and load the external JPG it sets the the JPGs default registration point to (0,0) and when I scale the thumbnail it scales from the top left corner. I would like it to scale from the center.[code]Is there anyway to change the registration point so it scales from the center and not the top left?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Add A Clear Box To A Movieclip To Force Size?

Sep 7, 2009

I have a movieclip with my video player controls (play, stop, mute, etc). It is 480 pixels by 22 pixels. My video screen is behind it, which is 480x270. The video player controls are bottom-aligned.

I have some actionscript which makes the controls fade in and fade out, according to mouseover.

My problem is the video player controls movieclip is only 22 pixels tall.. so for anyone to see them (remember it requires a mouse over for them to appear), they have to put their mouse right on top of the controls. I want to make it so the video controls movieclip is not 22px tall, but really 270px tall.

So I need something to "hold it up" like a tent... to force it to be 480x270, clear background, with my 480x22 controls at the bottom.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Force/override Slider Component Thumb Size?

Sep 2, 2008

I am attempting to reskin the AS3 Slider component to have arelatively "tall" draggable thumb graphic. However, the sliderthumb always seems to be forcibly scaled down to 13x13 regardlessof the size of the graphic. I'm currently using the drag-and-dropcomponent on workspace method, and double-clicked the livepreviewto change the skin pieces.I've tried resizing the contents of the SliderThumb_*Skin(upSkin, downSkin, ...) symbols, the Slider component itself on thestage, and even the placeholders on the double-click skin organizersheet. The height of the thumb object is not directly accessible(seems to be private). The translated position of the 13x13 thumbrelative to the symbol center is preserved correctly... but thesize seems to be stuck at 13x13.

Is there a workaround for this? I've searched and found a fewFlex solutions having to do with overriding a measure() method orextending the class to hard-code a different height, but none ofthe corresponding classes (e.g. one site recommended extendingmx.controls.sliderClasses.SliderThumb) seem to be accessible withinthe Flash AS3 implementation of the components.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Scale Down Size (kb) Of A Swf File?

Jul 23, 2010

quick question that I'm stumped on.I'm making a flash banner advertisement to go on a few websites.The guidlines I was given say to adhere to 40kb eachThe only trouble is that the client gave me a 250 kb.swf file that he wanted to be included in the files, so I've imported it as a movie clip, and sized it down (pixel wise) to the appropriate dimensions.The end results end up being about 260kb each.Is there a way to dramatically optimize a .swf file?  40 kb seems pretty unreasonable for a 300 x 250 flash ad. Typically when I do these, they come out to about 100+ kb.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Restricting Image Size On LoadMovie?

Jan 30, 2009

I am using loadMovie to load an image that a user has uploaded. If I have the loadMovie target as a movie clip of size 300x300 and the user loads an image of size 600x600 it does not restrict and scale that image down to fit within the 300x300 box.

Is there anyway to restrict this? Like setting the properties of the uploaded image to fit within the movieclip?

Another issue is that I am using the following code to edit the size of the preview pane (according to a users input):

ActionScript Code:
setProperty(_root.dimension_preview, _width, Number(_global.dimension_width));
setProperty(_root.dimension_preview, _height, Number(_global.dimension_height));

Now when I load an image into this it actually magnifies it by the amount the user entered, is there anyway to prevent it doing this?

If it is easier, I can upload the bits and pieces.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash8 - LoadMovie - Set Size Of The Movie

May 7, 2008

We have used loadMovie to load some small SWF files on a home page we have made. The swf files are in different sizes and we need to be able to set the size. How do we do this? We hoped the problem was solved with the following code, but this code only sets the size of the variable "minRamme", the contents are still to big, resulting in only a part of the swf file being visible. Anyway the following code ignored the onRelease command, so the swf file started playing at once. How come?

knapp.onRelease = Function(); {
minRamme = this.createEmptyMovieClip("clip",0);
minRamme.loadMovie("ann kristin.swf");

ActionScript 2.0 :: Force Remove Objects From Stage?

Dec 5, 2010

I am using a carousel (from Lee Brimelowe's tutorial) as the main method of navigation from my site's homepage. There are six icons in the carousel, clicking any one brings the icon to the front and some dynamic text and a button to navigate to a different page appear on stage. Clicking the icon again brings the icon back to the carousel and the text and button disappear.The site is multi-lingual (English, German, Dutch, Polish) and all text changes to the relevant language by clicking a flag button, including the text that appears beside the 'expanded' carousel icon - all of the data is loaded from XML files.

The problem with changing the language is that the entire carousel needs to be destroyed and rebuilt each time, as all of the data needed for it is only loaded on runtime. I have this 'kinda' working, the problem I am having is:If you change the language via a flag button when an icon is 'expanded' the dynamic text and button (theText and urlBtn) get 'stuck' on the stage and you have to do some clicking on the new carousel icons remove them - not ideal!Can anybody out there please advise me on how I would include some AS to remove these items too when the language button is changed?

Apply Dynamically Scale Down And Up Into A Thumbnail Images Size?

Jun 9, 2010

I'm working on one current project, I don't have any issues to load a SWF into a main SWF but I can't figure out how to apply dynamically the scale down and up into a thumbnail images size while using the Resize event handler to fit in any browsers sizes.

I load SWF into a Loader object then add it into a container => currentMC. I want to size it and keep all the pieces inside this container. Therefore no matter browser size, I just want to be able to apply scale on it to fit it.

Does anyone know how to do that? How would I deal with stageWidth and stageHeight?
