ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamically Scale Loaded Movie To Stage Size?

Apr 28, 2009

I have a stage with an external SWF loaded onto it. The stage scales dynamically to fill the size of the window.

Two problems: - I want certain items inside that loaded SWF to scale horizontally and vertically to fill the size of the stage.

- I want other items inside that movieclip to stay the same size, but be "attached" to the top and left of the stage.

how I can find the original stage size of an SWF that has been loaded into a parent clip via MovieClipLoader? In the child clip, there are a number of elements that extend beyond its stage, so when I check the _width and _height properties, then they include the stage overlap.

I tried using mc.getBounds(), but it doesn't seem to give me what I'm after.

Apply Dynamically Scale Down And Up Into A Thumbnail Images Size?

Jun 9, 2010

I'm working on one current project, I don't have any issues to load a SWF into a main SWF but I can't figure out how to apply dynamically the scale down and up into a thumbnail images size while using the Resize event handler to fit in any browsers sizes.

I load SWF into a Loader object then add it into a container => currentMC. I want to size it and keep all the pieces inside this container. Therefore no matter browser size, I just want to be able to apply scale on it to fit it.

Does anyone know how to do that? How would I deal with stageWidth and stageHeight?

Professional :: Scale Entire Contents Of Stage Down In Size ?

Can a finished flash file be resized.

Stage is at 1684 x 1322 animated map operated by buttons in a static key located outside of map border, all on stage. Map also pans/zooms.

Two scenarios:-

1) resize stage and all contents down to a different size.

2) resize the animated map down but more so than the static key (sits outside the map) which should remain readable.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Force Loadmovie To Scale Swf To 100% Stage Size?

I have some external .swf's of different dimensions. I'd like to know if there is a way to load an external swf to the stage and force it to fit to 100% the size of the stage it is loading into?Also, is there a way to handle the antialiasing of the scaled clip to ensure smoothness / clarity. The swf's contain both vector and jpg's and when scaled down appear jaggy.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Scale And Smooth Dynamically Loaded Images

Jun 22, 2009

I've got a nifty bit of script that loads some images from an XML file into flash. It loads the pictures into specified movieclips:

ActionScript Code:
xmlImages.reset();
xmlImages = new XML();
xmlImages.ignoreWhite = true;
xmlImages.onLoad = loadImages;
xmlImages.load("[URL]");
function loadImages(loaded) {
[Code] .....

Each instance of the movieclips are called picture_mc1, picture_mc2 etc. On the frame where these picture_mc's sit, I've got this code:
ActionScript Code:
function randomImage() {
if (loaded == filesize) {
image = (imageFileName[0]);
picture_mc1.loadMovie(imageFileName[0], 1);
picture_mc1._xscale=23;
picture_mc1._yscale=23;
[Code] .....

Everything works fine, but my image scaling is making my picture_mc's look really pixilated. I've seen references to bitmap image smoothing, but i'm not sure the best way to approach this. It seems that each time I try and smooth my images, the code is smoothing the image placeholder, rather than the jpg that's being loaded into it.

Setting Movie Scale Adjusted To Window Size When Viewed In Browser

Jun 5, 2009

I have created a fla file in adobe flash cs3. This contains a mainstage with a menu (is a movieclip) and a background (actionscript gradient). I have set the movie to scale so that when it is viewed in a browser it will be adjusted to the size of that window.

My problem or what I want is the following :
- The menu and text of that menu must stay the same size, as created in the fla file, when a scale is done.
- The content of the movie(not the menu) must stay in proportion.

An example site that I found, that demonstrates what I want is [URL]. You can change the browser window size and the menu text size stays the same but the content goes in proportion of the window size.

The white rectangle is only for size reference (photoshopped it in) and is not in the actual flash movies. The yellow movie is supposed to be 800x125 pixels but resizes with the fullscreen of the green movie.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Resizing Loaded Swfs - Increase The Size Of The Stage Contents Only

I loaded a swf from external. using loader class. But if i check with the width and height of the loader is differes from loader.contentLoaderInfo.width.

loader.width // 1250;
loader.height // 750;
loader.contentLoaderInfo.width // 750;
loader.contentLoaderInfo.height //420;

From this statement i came to know the loader gets the width of all hidden objects, which are already outside of the stage area. But now I need to increase the size of the stage contents only..

ActionScript 3.0 :: Get An Object To Increase In Size The Lower It Goes Down The Stage And Decrease In Size The High It Moves Up The Stage?

Dec 29, 2009

I'm trying to get an object to increase in size the lower it goes down the stage, and decrease in size the high it moves up the stage.

It only needs to increase or decrease by a small amount. Basically, it's for a game character. To ad realism to his movements, it would be nice to have this feature.

This is where i'm up to so far:

Code:
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.TweenEvent;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;

[code]....

I think I need something like:

if (object moves up)
decrease
else if (object moves down)
increase

ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamically Loaded Swf To Communicate With MovieClip On The Stage?

Apr 6, 2011

I have a heck of time here with an issue. I have an xml document that when a certain button on the stage is clicked it loads it's corresponding external swf into an empty movieclip on the stage. This empty movie clip is a holder for all external swfs.So what I'm trying to do is when an external swf is loaded that has buttons on it, I need those buttons to communicate with the main timeline and remove a mc that is on the Stage. I need the currently loaded swf(s) to be able to do this.So whatever the currently loaded external swf is that's loaded, I need it to talk to the main timeline. (I have quite a few external swfs that need to do this) So I imagine I need to somehow target the currently loaded external swf to get it to talk to the main timeline.The code below in summary doesn't work but it doesn't give errors either. I don't pretend to know what I'm doing and I haven't been successful in searching for a solution to this particular issue.

// main timeline object
var index:Object=this;
function loadComplete (e:Event) {

ActionScript 3.0 :: Drag Dynamically Loaded Content Beyond Stage Borders

Jul 28, 2010

I have simple file 550 x 450, in it there is one container 400x300, x:75, y:78. In the container I am loading images and there is drag and drop function for them. I also have added mask with size that matches the size of the container because when i load larger images i could move them. Everything is working fine, but If I set scaleX and scaleY to the container image, the drag and drop functionality is not working fine - I can't reach the edges of the picture.

Code:

It behaves like there is not enough space to move the image right, left, top or down.

IDE :: Resize External Swf Movie To Stage Size?

Feb 5, 2009

What i try to do, is to make a "wrapper" in Flash, in which other swfs could be embedded. (passing the URL of the external SWF by URL) to attach a link to the swfs. (ClickTag - Issue, maybe someone knows this).In the HTML - Code this would look like this:

Code:
<embed src="wrapper.swf" ...>
<param name="filename" value="path-to-external-swf.swf"/>
<param name="clickTag" value="http://www.example.com"/>

The SWF "wrapper.swf" should load the "path-to-external-swf.swf" an puts a onClick - Event on the whole area.That works just fine, BUT The loaded external SWF should always fit to the stage size (like 100% width and 100% height) .My code looks like this:

Code:
// Variables should be passed by URL
_root.filename = "http://example.com/animation.swf";
_root.clickTag = "http://www.example2.com";[code]....

Code:
mClip._width = Stage.width;

When i click on the swf, the movie fits exactly to the stage width...
