ActionScript 2.0 :: Image Pan - Making The Background Image Move Around As If It The Scene Is A POV
Mar 7, 2011
was wondering if anyone could assist me with some actionscript. I am working on a project similar to this (thehideout.org.uk/refuge/) and making the background image move around as if it the scene is a POV.
How is an effect like this created? The effect is after you click "enter site", you see the background moves a bit when the viewer moves the mouse.[URL]
I have set up ma flash project to have various scenes. One of these scenes is a page whereby when a user clicks on a button he/she can change the background image on every scene in my project.On each scene i have made a layer called 'background' and drawn a black rectangle which is the default background. This has been converted to a graphic using F8.What i'd like to be able to do is when the user clicks on the button he/she can change this default background to 1 of 4 photo's i have in my library.i have tried the code:
on (release) { colorchange = new Color("/rectangle");
I am making a XML photogallery with a background that resizes according to an image. It resizes so that it is is in the middle of the stage. The image is supposed to fade in the center as well, but I am having problems getting it to do so...
The gallery is loosely based on the XML gallery tutorial, but is modified to suit my own needs.[URL]..(for some reason it will not accept connections from kirupa.com - copy and paste the link into your browser )
In the following code ,onclick of fruits image how to make the fruits image drop in the box image with proper effect(i.e, dropping of the fruit image into the box image should be shown).
I need the ActionScript (2.0): 1) When rolling over a moving image (like a filmstrip), I want the image to stop and then it zooms into a larger image. 2) Then when you click on the larger image, it goes to another URL page in my webiste.
I am developing a website in flex. And in that, i am trying to set the background image of my application. like this: parentApplication.setStyle("backgroundImage", data.image_src);
From a different location.
My issue is that, the images that i have are small and hence they are being stretched when used as background images. I want to avoid that from happening. How can i do it?
Iv got a background image 3 times the length of my stage.. what im trying to do is create a scroller so when you press a right button or a left button, it scrolls to the left third or the right third of the image.
I am using this following code to display images using xml.Everything is working fine for me but i have to add background image or border to the displayed image using function BitmapFileMaterial.

I want to embed some video into my HTML page. As background I want to use big picture. And above it I want to insert loop video with (i.e.) walking man.So, can I embed video (without flash and any player controls) in page?Can I decode video with transparent background? Is there any codecs which support transparent background (alpha-channel)?
I am relatively new to Flash CS3 and i have been learning Action-script 3 over the past week. I have come quite a long way and i have made a site in flash but i just have a question.I have been using an image as my background and i am happy with the way flash automatically scales all the objects in my file but the background image does not scale. Is there a way to do this? I have found out things online which show me how to add auto-resizing to the background but this knocks off the flash auto scaling/resizing for everything else.
I am trying to create a scene which has an image of a house. The image zooms and the stage area contains just the door (giving effect of getting closer to the door. initially you see the entire house and as you move closer, you see only the door).
I have placed an image of a house on the stage (which fills the complete area), converted to symbol and created a motion tween. In the last frame, I am scaling the image so that stage area contains just the door. The problem is that once enlarged, the image is not cropped, but the entire image is there. When playing in the flash player, If I maximize the flash player, I can see the rest of the house too, enlarged.The other problem is that since after enlarging the image, it takes too much space on screen, it makes difficult to work with other symbols on the stage. Also, it is difficult to position the image since I can't see the stage area under the enlarged image.
I'd like to call up a scene when an image is pressed. I understand, I think, where the image is located on xml and the fla/actionscript. Here are the corresponding parts
so I have some buttons that, as of right now, simply trigger the scene to move on while at the same time killing some particle effect animations I have spawning when the animation is idle. What I now need to do is make these events move on to a specific scene AFTER the rest of the scene's animation has played out (about 400 more frames) I'm figuring that the gotoAndPlay command has to be tied to some sort of timer variable that I would have to figure out based on my fps. Or maybe there is a way to set up a timer directly tied to a certain amount of frames allowed to go by. I'm pretty noob at actionscript, so keep that in mind. Here is the script at the point where the animation pauses to await user input on the buttons:
I want to convert a .avi into a flash movie and import it into Dreamweaver as a background image so that it will expand in all different resolutions 1. what do I need to consider when building this in Flash (using MX 04)?2. I'm using Flash Builder 4 to create an application. I need to set an background image for the app. I've pulled through the data from XML. I am using an <mx:Image> for the background-image. But I need elements to then be added inside it. How do I achieve this? I considered using Layers, but dont know how you achieve this.
I have looked around for about two hours now and I can't seem to find the command to convert this little piece of code to change the ball colour to a bitmap:
on(release){ myColor = new Color(_root.ball_mc); myColor.setRGB(0xFF0000); }
I have written a custom skin in Flex 4.5, which shows a custom image. I want this to my background image, so how can I set this skin to the application container?
I have come to a solution where I use an invisible button (covering the whole movie) where the action takes place in. Problem is, I can't put buttons on it because the invisible button blockes them.Does anyone know an other solution of making my background image scroll like the example site?
Is it possible to target and style the div that swfobject (2.1) creates to display flash content?
Basically I want to be able to set a background image to appear in a header div, and then load a tranparent swf file over the top using swfobject. But swfobject doesnt seem to have any reference to the div that it creates when displaying flash content.. only the alternate content div.
