ActionScript 2.0 :: Interactive Image Scroller?
Nov 30, 2008I went through this excellent tut, I can get this to work, but how to make it go both ways? Horizontal and Vertical? I tried, but it didn't work.

Sep 11, 2009I want to make an interactive image scroller. I am making a webshop and I want a flash to scroll through some of the latest products (3 or 4) that I put in myself and animate or whatever, maybe there's a better and easier way. I want this movie to have these products scrolling from right to left by auto with maybe an ease effect, but when you move your mouse pointer over the whole movie I want it to stop, and when it stops I want two arrows appear on the left and right side of the movie which will be clickable and you will be able to scroll through the products with them as well.
It doesn't need to have an external XML connection where you insert scrolling speed and so on. Of course it would be simplier, but without is fine too. I will try to explain in what terms I know of:
-Mouseout/rollout = 3 or 4 products scrolling one by one from the right and ease in to the middle, pause 4 seconds, then scroll out to the left with an ease. Looped.
-Mouseover/rollover = Movie stops and then you can use arrows on both each side and scroll by yourself. But I don't know if I want this only to be available when the product is in the center of the movie, or else it would be kind of weird if the movie stopped when one product was just about to go half-way out or in.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Interactive MovieClip Scroller With Easing
Jan 18, 2009Recently I've been developing a new site that runs 100% with noScale. What I'm aiming to achieve is the ability for the user to move their mouse up and down on the Y Axis to effectively scroll the site. (Without having to click). I've tried adapting the Interactive Image Panner Actionscript from the Tutorial on kirupa - but it doesn't seem to be working quite right I've changed all the X Values to Y.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Drag Throw Scroller - Ease Into Place Stopping And Showing The Second Image Stopping The Image At X Axis 0
Feb 18, 2009I want it to while still easing into place like the iphone does. For example my stage is 550px. The drag and throw MC is 1650. That's 550x3. If the first image is showing starting at x axis 0 and you drag to the left it will ease into place stopping and showing the second image stopping the image at x axis 0. And the same thing scrolling to the next one and scrolling back. So the code is below and I've attached the movie that I'm working on.

Nov 27, 2009I have been trying to figure out how to create this movieclipI have a bunch of images which is laid out horizontally (x axis). The functionality is very simple, when I click on the movieclip it will allow me to drag it from right to left and vice versa. This part is simple enough. I face a problem when it comes to the end and the beginning of the movieclip. How do I make it undraggable when it reaches the end of the movie clip and vice versa when I drag it back to the beginning.

Jun 18, 2010I have a horizontal image scroll that is made up of various thumbnails. When you move your mouse to the left it goes left, move it to the right and it goes right.The problem here lies somewhere in making the loop continuous. I have it looping correctly. There are masks on each thumbnail.
I have two instances of the same movieclip that contains the thumbnails right next to each other. This allows it to loop.When two instances of the thumbnails are both on the screen at the same time, a few of them lose their masks while they are on the stage. Why is this?

I've managed this part ok, however, I want the images to be in a scroll panel so that as the client adds more and more images you can scroll through them. Jun 4, 2009I am building a flash based website and have a large rectangle mc that I am panning left to right that has buttons nested inside. I followed the kirupa tutorial called "interactive image panning" and everything seems to be working fine. My problem is this. I want this panned mc to be centered and framed by a black border that will also act as a mask hiding the ends of the rectangle that have not yet been panned to. When I add this black border the code thinks the stage dimensions are larger and the panning gets whacky. How can I contain this panned mc so it doesn't react to a change in the stage dimensions. it also does this when I open the published HTML in the browser. I basically want it to behave like the sample image on the first page of the "interactive image panning tutorial". There must be an easy solution.

Jul 31, 2009I'm having problems with my AS2 and XML (on Flash 8). I finally figured how to create a simple slideshow which incorporates a "Next" and "Previous" button...but what i'm struggling with is: "How to click on the 'next' button so that the existing image scrolls to the left as the new image from the right moves to the center. And the opposite for the 'previous' button". Currently I have the existing image disappearing (alpha 0) and then the new image scrolls to the center from the right - which is not what I want to do.

Jan 14, 2009i am new to flash and AS and I have created a custom image gallery, where thumbnails appear on the left of my page and once clicked they fade into he screen.however i have so many images that they do not all show on the page, and take up the entire left hand side - i would like to know how i could edit my code so that all the thumbnails (that are loaded from a .xml file) can be put into a scroller box.I would also like to add a function so that the image would close on mouse click of the bigger picture OR when a "close" button is clicked

Oct 15, 2009How can I make a horizontal image scroller that when u click and hold would allow me to scroll through a pan with hotspots(buttons)? I have this script which does the basic functions I am wanting but it if I drag right enough I can drage the MC right out of the frame. I would like to be able to scroll right and then when it meets the very right edge of the movie clicp and the actual movie frame it won't go further. Same with the left edge.

Dec 29, 2006I'm quite new in ActionScript (but I know the basics). Well anyway, I have a small problem. I'm doing this fake panorama to my site and I've used this Interactive Image Panning code I found here at kirupa.com. Now I have added some buttons into it and by pressing those I would like the image to move to a specific position (with ease if it's possible) and stop. And by pressing another button the panning starts again. Is it possible to add to this code? (I have made some little modifications to the code. There is a mask area where the panning works and if your mouse is outside the area the panning doesn't work)

I have successfully gone through and executed the Interactive Image Pan tutorial you have on here. However I am looking to add more of a sense of depth, so would like some images in the "foreground" to scroll by faster (than the background) as the cursor is moved.
To accomplish this I have made the foreground image cover a much bigger width than the background, as it makes sense to me that this would make it scroll faster, using the same code as the background.
So my question is what code do I need to add to the original code to make the foreground image scroll too? It's a MC called fg_mc. Here's the original code for quick reference:

Smooth Horizontal Image Scroller - Continuous Loop
Sep 28, 2009I have a series of images that merged into one 2400 pixel wide jpg. I want this to loop continuously across the bottom of a website. I have tried using TweenLite and TweenGroup but cannot get that to behave correctly. Is there an Actionscript 3 way to do this? Ultimately this is being added to a Flex site.

Jan 20, 2010I have some problem with movieclips. What i want to get is something like an image scroller with design of movie tape. The number of slides (in this movie tape) depends on number of nodes in xml, and ech slide should load external image and to be a hyperlink to a specified in xml url.
Everything is clear except this. How can i assign to every movieclip a design of a slide of the movie tape
I can prepare such a movieclip, i can duplicate it, but how can i every duplicate slide connect with a node in xml? i can easy make a slide by slide basing on xml, but how can i then assign the design?
