I am looking for a total frame control on a movie clip.
for ex: if my mouth rollover my clip, my clip play frames 10 to 18 in loop. (i dont know how to loop)
and on rollout play frames 1 to 9 in loop.
I have a movie clip that plays within my scene.I have only 1 scene which has 2 frames.How do I control what frame the scene is on from the movie clip? is it:

So for instance if the movie clip was circles of radius 5 registered at their center at various positions where:
frame 1:circle.x=-30
frame 2:circle.x=0

The total maximum width of movie clip would be 30--30+5+5=70.
I am making a web site in flash in which I have multiple movie clips.I have mc_buttonMenu on the main timeline.Inside of mc_buttonMenu, I have 3 buttons that are all button symbols.From the main timeline, I have a movie clip called mc_allPages.In this movie clip, I have a few layers.I have the content layer.This layer controls how my pages display.I have another layer called labels.I labeled frames 1 to 10 as 'home' and layers 11 to 20 as 'contactUs'.I have another layer in mc_allPages called actions.I put a stop(); on frame 10 and frame 20 on this layer.I want to be able to control the movie clip mc_allPages from within the movie clip mc_buttonMenu.I put some action script in various places, but it never worked.I tried this action script:

I tried placing that code on the main timeline, inside mc_allPages, inside mc_buttonMenu and split up into both buttons appropriately for btn_home and btn_contactUs.Sometimes the animation would stop on frame 10 and sometimes it would just play through to frame 20 and ignore the stop(); I put on frame 10 inside the mc_allPages movie clip.However, whenever I pressed the button ( btn_contactUs ), it never went to the frame labeled "contactUs" in the allPages movie clip.
I am trying to place buttons inside a movie clip to control the timeline of the same movie clip. This does not seam to work like buttons on the main timeline. When I play the movie the cursor does not turn into a hand and the rolloever affects only sort of work. I have read about controling the movie clip with buttons on the main timeline, but I need one of the buttons to change halfway through the movieclip. I want to be able to jump to interior shots while in the exterior section and vice versa. It would seem that button would work the same way inside a movie clip as they do on the main timeline, but that does not appear to be the case. I am using CS3. Action scrip 2.0 is selected, but I could change it to 3.0 if it would make a difference.

I have gotten how to make the buttons go to a specified frame number and also a button to go to a specified external url but no success in making a simple next/previous pair of buttons.

I have an invisible button and only one mc, the mc loops 3x then stops, this is defined with as in mc.
Now i want to play the movie from the invisible button but only loop it once. Which means i would like to play it from frame 1 to frame 215.
And also when u rollout i would like the movie to stop and go to frame 1.

I am making a quiz/game, and it works like this, two teams that have to take over the united states, by answering history questions, so right now I have it were when you click on a state, it takes you to a question (on a different frame in the main timeline), then I have a problem, if you get the question right it takes you to the "board" of the United States (that works), but when you are back the color of the state should change its color to red (on frame of the clip) if south got it and blue (another frame of the clip) if north got itBut instead i changes back to grey (default color, all start grey to begin with). View 2 RepliesI have a parent movieclip (present_content_mc) that has two nested movie clips, players_content_mov is the first one. It's on frame 6 of the parent clip. The second movie clip, bios_mc is on frame 7 of the parent clip.
Now, my problem is getting a button on frame 2 of players_content_mov to go to frame 18 of bios_mc on click. Here are the two types of coding i've tried[code]...
I have to load a swf movie. I can't change this swf movie. But on this movie, there is no stop() on the first frame, and into this swf there is a sound that play once loaded. Besides, sometimes, the swf I've to load has a stop() at first frame. So I have to write something to stop whenever there is or not a stop() at 1st frame, so that I can decide when the sound starts by clicking on the play button.
So I wrote this bellow, that work but in case of a swf without stop() the play action play sound with a few delay. For example when I click on play() the song starts but it seems that sond has already started. I suppose it's an asynchronization problem.

Im trying to control a movie clip that is part of a swf from another swf file. For example. My main flash file is called index.swf. this flash files loads another flash file called image.swf within image.swf are several movie clips (mc_1, mc_2) that I need to control show hide.
