ActionScript 2.0 :: Music Player Close & Open Button
Feb 10, 2010
I'm making a site where I need the music player to go on and off the screen wehn you hit a close/open button. Click here to view the Radio opens but can't close. This is the code I use:
I bought a template for my fiance's music band and also I bought I music player for Demo songs. I integrated it successfully into the website but unfortunately when I try to close the music player the only the site is closing, the music is going to continiue playing in background.
This is the site: soundsix. hu/ test --- menu point DEMO
I thought I had this one right until I listened a little closer. Below is the code that I am using to make a loop button for my music player. At first, using everything but the last line, seemed to work perfectly, until I realized that the music wasn't starting over from the very beginning. Basically I'm using a pause command, followed by a resume command to keep the pressing of the loop button from playing the song over itself, if it'scurrently playing. So in that respect, it works great. But when the song ends and estarts, it starts only from the point of the song when I pressed the loop button. So I'm trying to figure out how to make the 2nd time that the song plays and each additional time after that, play from the very beginning of the song. While still being sure that the song does not play over itself, the first time it's played.
I'm trying to make a simple music player with only one button for Play & Pause the music. What I have now is a MovieClip with:
1st Keyframe: active state for play Button 2nd Keyframe: active state for pause button 3rd Keyframe: hover state for play button 4th Keyframe: hover state for pause button
The script works OK, and play and pause the music without problems as expected.
The problem comes after the second click in the play/pause button when the alternance between two states becomes chaotic. The button never returns to the play state although the music was paused.
This is the code:
/**** Objects and Vars ****/ var AutoPlay:Boolean = false; var isPlaying:Boolean = false;
I am a super noob at actionscript. And I want my button to open a movieclip and then close the movieclip when clicked on again. I have no idea what to add after that here is the code I have for the button so far.....this button opens it.
on(release){ this.linemc5.gotoAndPlay("ear"); }
and this is another button I made that can close it, but I want it to be in the same button rather than seperate.
is there a code to close the flash player window from a button in the flash movie? i want to run a movie full screen then have a button in the flash movie close the window when the people are done viewing it.
I downloaded a flash template and have modified it to suit our company but there is something that I can't do. When the file loads in the browser, music immediately plays and loops until you click a button to stop the music. On our video page, we have video that we need to play that has sound in it. How do I get the background music to stop when my video plays without having to go up and stop the music manually. The videos are loaded via an external XML document and there are no buttons in the FLA file to link code to. the website is [URL]
I opened from my main swf a new one with addChild. Now in the 2nd swf i need a button to close this swf and open another one ... I done this way because the button i puted in the main swf does n´t work (maybe because i´m using in both swf liquid layout with a resize function). How can i do to close the 2nd swf and open another one.
im having a big problem with my pop ups. at the moment i am using the code form this tutorial [URL]. The windows pop up, the problem lies in that the pop ups wont replace each other. if one pop up is open, trying to open another one just makes the old pop up active, it doesnt open the contents of the new one. this is a big problem since the pop ups are for my portfolio to show the work at larger sizes. is there a way to tell the new pop up to close the old one and then open? would this be some sort of if... else statment? or is there some other code i should use for the pop ups? either way,
I wrote this code that loads and unloads object to the screen. But have small issue. When i press the CityButton it loads the object... i dont want the villageButton or anything to be selectable until the CityButton is pressed again which causes the loaded city object to be removed.
/*//this is the button events for each name*/ cityButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickHandler); villageButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickHandler2);

I am stumbling across this issue as I open and close a sound stream. This is the code I use, not sure if closing and opening a stream on the same function is a good idea.
I have an HD video that I shot of curtains or drapes opening and closing. I would like to make something in Flash where someone could click one side of the curtain and pull it open. When they release the mouse it should close back. In the video both sides open at the same time so I'm not sure if I can make the sides independent or not. If I can do this I may also want to make a version where the curtain stays where they released it.After I make a web version I am going to try to turn it into an app for a smart phone. The online use with a mouse is way more important at this time.
Relative newb to Flash and not sure what the issue is but I have a shelf opening and closing effect The timeline is 45 frames long and when the shelf is out it has this AS3 code in it:
I have a NetStream publishing properly using multicasting for fp 10.1. My problem is that I can not close the steam and open it back up. I call .close() on the netstream object and receive this message: NetStream.Unpublish.Success I then call .publish("same stream name") and receive this error: Netstream.Publish.Badname
Is there a way to programmatically close an open file dialog?
My current problem is this: I have a small file download program. When the user clicks a button, it will pop-up the Save As dialog. The problem is, if the user closes the Firefox window, the dialog stays open. And when the user wants to close that dialog, he or she can't anymore. It won't respond. The only way is to kill the plugin process (on Linux anyway).
So is there a way to monitor opened file dialogs?
I've tried to get the browser to notify the Flash app that it's closing, which works great. The problem is even if the app knows it should close the file dialog, it can't...I've tried setting the FileReference to null, using delete on it, calling the garbage collector, etc., nothing seems to have any control on that dialog.
I want to play the music file in flash player (which is embedded obviously) by clicking the play button which is in the web page (not in flash player).
Im doing a projector presentation that has music and I want in the moment the client goes into my site (included in the cd) the music of the projector to stop alone, any idea how to make it?
After working for a prolonged time on a programming problem, I start to get coding tunnel vision. It makes it harder to draw back and look at the problem from farther away. Hence my question: I am using a Drupal 6 site. When a menu option is clicked, the page opens and a Flash SWF file needs to played in a ThickBox. After 8 seconds, that Thickbox closes.
Opening the SWF file in the Thickbox when a link is clicked is no problem, just like closing the Thickbox afterwards; that's basic javascript. For that I use these:
[Code]...
But opening the Thickbox on load? I can add a link for the user to click, but it should open automatically. I figured out the PHP to have it only open on one specific page. From the Thickbox manual, I learned to open links to images - but not how to open it when the page loads.
What is the actionscript required to close a Flash player window? I want to run a flash movie on my computer that has a button which closes the window, but in Actionscript 3 I cannot add actions to the button.
What I'm trying to do is have a cleanup/data save function run when Flash detects that the player is being closed (i.e. user clicks the X to close button on the flashplayer window).
Is there some event that fires when this happens, or a deconstructor I can put in my Main class to make this happen? I've searched around a bit and not found anything for a standalone flash app.
I have a website banner made in Flash. I have added a music file to it and Play and Stop buttons. I also have a Replay button to replay the banner animation once it stops.
I have put the music on a separate frame so that it will not play automatically when the banner loads. I have made the Play button direct to the frame the music is located at so that when clicked, it will go to that frame and play the music file.
The problem I am currently having is that if I click the Play button more than once, it will play the music file again on top of the current play-through.
So if I click Play, the music will play. Then if I click it again, the music will play again, but on top of the first instance of the music, so two instances of it will now be playing and it sounds horrible.
I would like to make it so that if you click Play when the music is playing, it will not play the music again until the music has stopped.
I need to have a flv player pop open when a button is clicked on a html page and when the flv video gets to the end the player disappears. What I envisage happening is: Button clicked, loads swf into empty <div> and chosen flv plays, in the script (AS3) I possibly have a listener that detects when stream has ended and closes the swf (popup). The only thing is i have no idea what the AS would be for this. This is the effect I am after [URL] (the video link).
Whenever I compile my project using FlashDevelop in 'Debug' the Flash Player window remains after I have clicked the 'Stop' button in Flash Develop. I have to then switch over to the flash player, click through any error messages and then close the player, which wastes a lot of time in the long run.Any way to make it so Flash Player closes when I click 'Stop' in the Flash Develop debug tools? EDIT: My setup is a fresh install of Windows 7, a new copy of Flash Develop 4 and Flash Player 10.
I'm a relatively experienced Web developer, but this is my first foray into playing (streaming) music. All of the music players I've run across either load MP3s from an XML file (which exposes the MP3s' URLs) or have code embedded in them that loads URL-accessible audio files. Due to copyright issues, this is not acceptable for my client's content.So, I'm looking for one of two things...(1) A music player that already exists that either plays music embedded into the FLA itself -or- can read the files from a non-public area on the file system, or(2) Sample code that generally approximates what I'm describing, from which I'll try to construct my own player.
I'm doing a site in JOOMLA and i want to add music to the site. For example if the user stop the music i want the music player to be able to stop the music and not reload the song if the user go to the next page. If the user dont stop the player, i want the song to keep playing if user go to the next page.in which way i can do this? i heard about adding some kind of cookie script to the flash player.
I am trying to make a multimedia player where has different pages:
- about us
- our videos
- contact us
now on the "our videos" page there are 12 thumbnails (reading from an xml file) and by clicking on them the video player shows the proper video. Till now I have been able to set it up. But when someone wants to go back to the about us, contact us ext. the player and the thumbnails still remain.How can I close them when page navigates away from that specific frame (lets say for example all of this is done on frame 150)?I would like the thumbnails and player to close when we navigate away from that frame.[code]
