ActionScript 2.0 :: Next - Prev Frame OnRollover Animation - Do It With Buttons?

This makes the button animation rewind or play depending on if the mouse is over the button. I want to have this on my buttons but I also want a different movie clip on a different layer to go to the next frame or previous frame depending on the rollover. Basically, I need to know how to add something in addition to:
I have a movieclip that shows an animation onRollOver and an animation on RollOut but onRelease the animation enlarge itselfs but now when I'll roll out when the animation isn't open (so i didn't release) the animation plays the animation for the minimizing of the animation. Here's my code (I know its a bit amateuristic but I'm not a programmer )
im trying to do is have a button that shows an animation (created by a duplicateMovieClip function) with onRollOver and stops the animation with onRollOut. It works when i roll over and it stops when i roll out, but then it continues in a loop up to the point where i rolled out (instead of cutting off completely as i would like). Id be extremely grateful if you could tell me where im going wrong.
-Alright so I have made a next, and a prev button. That navigate the timeline inside an mc "tabs_mc." This mc ison the the main stage.-When the next and prev buttons are pressed they goto 1 of 4 frame labels on this timeline inside tabs_mc.-When one of these lables is reached an mc "thumbs" appears on the screen / stage.-These mc's "thumbs1, thumbs2, thumbs3, and thumbs4" contain buttons that SHOULD be clickable.-But are not after the prev, and next buttons are press. They are before the next, and prev button are press, but not after.
way this is or even better how to keep these buttons enabled after the next, prev buttons are clicked?I thought of making some sort of boolean to tell the each button that is needs to stay "true" after prev, and next are pressed.But I'm a beginner so I don't know where to start.Heres the next, and prev button code:

ive got 2 buttons setup for forwards and backwards along the timeline.ive got the prev button working only when i add a simple next button eventlistener it doesnt run right just moves frame by frame and once pressed the prev button no longer works properly.any clues on how i could implement a next button with a smooth motion the same as the prev button.
I'm trying to make a menu that has onRelease buttons on top of onRollover buttons (the onReleases are on a separate layer from the onRollovers). The onRelease buttons take the user to different urls, and the onRollover buttons are supposed to allow different parts of the menu to appear.
The onRelease buttons work fine, but I can't get the onRollover buttons to work consistently. Sometimes the onRollover buttons will correctly advance to a different frame, and sometimes they "stick" and do not advance. The script has no errors and I've tried changing the sizes of the onRollover buttons (in case they were too large and the cursor was hovering over more than 1 at the same time), changing the order of the code for the onRelease and onRollover commands (in case the onRollovers were being superseded by the onRelease commands), and countless variations of the layers and frames.

I have a flash file with a MC "wmc" which contains the following script to randomize labels on load as well as for next and prev buttons to function. I used the prev/next btn scipt in a previous file but for some reason the buttons are no longer functioning in this one. I must be missing something elementary. I need to create a flash photo gallery for their website. I've looked at different tutorials but all of the ones I have found only show stationary thumbnails. What I need is a gallery that shows the thumbnails with next and previous buttons, while showing the imaged that was clicked.

This website gives you the option to turn on the thumbnails, I however do not want that option I just want to the thumbs on.
When you click on the movie clip it goes to another frame and an animation plays: THE PROBLEM: When it goes to the animation frame after clicking the button, you are still able to click the button even though the buttons are behind the animation that is playing...how would i go about disabling the buttons while it is on the animation frame but also keep the visited state of the button clicked?

These buttons work correctly and advance or reverse in sequencial order (slide1,slide2,slide3,slide4). However the movie can run from start to finish wihtout the use of the navigation. My problem is that if I let the movies run independently and then choose to use the next button while(for example) "slide3" is playing, the movie jumps to "slide1". Note that these slide labels are located within movieclip named "allunits" I know that the variable currentSlide is still equal to 1 thus returning the playhead to label "slide1".
I have pages of info I'm pulling from external files. I want my btn_next to not be visible when the last page loads and my btn_prev to not be visible when the first page loads. The btns are actually moviclips with instance names btn_next and btn_prev Here is my code:

I still can not get a basic slideshow with the either thumbnails or prev/next buttons to work. It seems that every tutorial either assumes I downloaded the correct libraries or understand when they are using AS2 or AS3.point me to a "FOOL" proof tutorial or template..I understand the basic part of what is going on but do not know enough AS yet to hammer out the actions myself.

ive recently created an actionscript 2 product gallery that has five sections for the types of product with navigation buttons that goto a new scene containing that sections products in each 'product' scene ive got left and right buttons that gotoandStop at either nextFrame or prevFrame so far so good this works fine even tho its simple [code]however when i originally tested it i had just one range of products so when it got to the end (ie furthest product right or left) it stopped however as ive added more scenes (i do this because i hate really long timelines) if the user clicks 'right button' at the end of the scene it displays the next scenes picture any ideas on how i can get it to understand where it is in the program and stop?just need to say I really dont get programming at all..i only managed that code by butchering a gotoAndStop that i added using the behaviours panel so the simpler the better lol
I'm working on a dynamically resized photo gallery like everyone else and their mother. Everything works ok so far, until I try to add key detection to complement the previous and next buttons already in place. When I hit the left or right key it registers, but the picture doesn't resize the same as if I just press the prev or next buttons. It actually loads the next picture, and then resizes on the follow key hit.

I've got the above code on my first frame, and was hoping that it would open a menu when a button was clicked, and once the button within the MC is clicked it would then close. Hence the nextFrame and prevFrame actions.

I want a prev / next buttons that brings the one of the carousel images to the center of the stage. Then when clicked again, it moves to the next one. I know that I have to have a code in my button release that checks the focus of the icon and brings it to the center if clicked. After a user clicks a button the getURL passes some variables to a js function that displays an html lightbox type effect. After closing the lightbox and returning to the page underneath all of the buttons are now no longer clickable
I've got a movieclip with an rollover function. The movieclip has buttons inside, but they don't work. The action applied to the movieclip is the the scale (I'm using Tweener to make the scale action).

is output when mcOne is rolled over, as it should, but nothing is output when mcTwo is moused over.
so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.
i'm very new at flash and finally ended all the work i wanted to do here. now i just need to had the actions so it will run properly. basically i just need it to stop in each frame and run the animation of the movie clip on that frame. if it's i can put the project here so you can see what and were i need to had the actions.
have a look here: [URL] As you can see, you can scroll through the pictures by using the "<prev" or ">next" buttons OR by clicking on the individual numbers. I made it to where the numbers change colors when you click on them individually, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the number corresponding to the picture change colors when you press the "<prev" or ">next" buttons! I've experimented with "if/else" statements for days now, but nothing is working. The pictures are loading from an XML file. Here's the AS on the main timeline:
