ActionScript 2.0 :: Numeric Stepper Value To Dynamic Text Field?

I'm trying to use the flash numeric stepper component to pass it's current value into a dynamic text field using AS2.
So basically I drag the numeric stepper onto the stage. Next to it I place a dynamic text field with an instance name of myText.
So what I want is if I click the numeric stepper up to 3, then the dynamic text field will also say 3. Click the numeric stepper up to 22, then the dynamic text field will also say 22.
Can someone tell me the actionscript needed to do this and if the actionscript needs to go on the component itself or in the timeline.
I would like to input a numerical value into a dynamic text field using a button. The numerical values is one, the button is called a1_btn The dynamic input text field is called results_txt This is the code I am using. Even though it shows no script errors, clicking on the button doesn't input the number on the dynamic text field.

I am trying something where I have 2 Numeric Steppers. One numeric stepper holds values from 0-230 and the other from 0.00-0.99. My question is how to change the value of the first numeric stepper when the second numeric stepper goes from 0.99 to 0.00. Suppose the first numeric stepper has a value 10 and the second numeric stepper is being incremented continuously. As it reaches 0.99 and on mouse up on the up arrow, 10 should change to 11 and this numeric stepper goes to 0.00.
i have numeric stepper in MXML component.when i entered manually numeric value and press a button to add the current value in my datagrid column row.First time its not effected in datagrid column.But when i clicked second time value effected in my datagrird column. How i can get manually entered value in datagrid column on first click of button.

How can I actually change the Numeric Stepper value by entering a number via keyboard without having to press enter or click another Numeric Stepper?I've tried everything, including keyboard events, but had no success.

It adds rows whenever I click the stepper's buttons only.I'd like to know what the code should look like if this was to be the way I pictured it,and also how do I get rid of the event when I click the stepper's button,it adds one first,then another click adds one underneath the first one AND one OVER the first one o.o which makes the computer go slower and thats not what I planned :S
I need a small help in Flex Numeric Stepper validation.I have setted a min value to 1 and max value to 10, Now my requirement is when ever user can enter a value other than the range between 1 - 10, i want to display an alert saying "please enter the val's between 1 and 10". I want this scenario to be success in all possible event listeners like Keyboardevents/mouseevents/default numeric stepper events. Actually i am failing to produce an alert if i typed the value as "0". Other than this everything is fine.
This script is straight out of the ActionScript 2.0 docs. It works as advertised when it is on the root level stage. But if I put it on a tweened layer (so I can move it onto the screen with some other stuff), it no longer works. Anybody know why and how to make it work?
I have to put 2 numeric stepper components in one column of a datagrid. I suppose I need to write my own item renederer code for that. How to write a code for putting 2 numeric stepper components in one coulmn of datagrid.
The 2 numeric steppers would work as time (Hour and Min) components. I cannot use readily availabel time components, and hence have to write something of the above for my own time component.
I have come across a weird problem with the NumericStepper component. Instead of for example changing number 6 to 7 when I press the up-arrow it changes into 61. And then 611, 6111 when i keep on going. If I leave the stepper and comes back to it, it works like it should
I have an input text field that is named in the properties box as 'numberOfKids'. When the program is executed, and a delete or backspace is pressed the input textfield goes blank and any calculations that use 'numberOfKids' shows NaN.I have trapped the NaN and undefined so that a numeric 0 shows up instead of a blank.
First problem: The cursor is to the left of the zero, so the first number inputted by the user is 10x larger than what they want. 0 becomes 10. How do I get the cursor to move to the right of the 0?
Second Problem: When I manually move the cursor to the right of the 0 and input a number, say 4, it shows up as 04. How do I delete the leading numeric zero in the input textfield?

I have a dynamic text on the stage which gets updated (shows numbers) when some buttons are pressed.I just need to know if it is possible to show the first dynamic textfield in another dynamic textfield.Lets say the first dynamic textfield called "price" and the second one called "price2". when a button is pressed, the first dynamic textfield "price" will show a number. is it possible to show whatever is shown in the "price" in "price2" ?
I'm creating an XML-driven pie chart in AS3 with 2 text boxes in each pie slice. Both text fields are dynamic in the sense that they are populated by the XML doc and then told where to place themselves in the AS3. I've got them both using the same x and y position to place themselves at the moment (which of course puts them right one top of each other), but I'd like to make one of the fields (which acts like a label or a title to the larger number and % text field) place itself in a particular spot around the other text field. The result I'm looking for is to have the smaller "title" text field appear approximately 5 pixels above and left-justified to the larger "percentage" field.
Anyway, here are two sections of code that I've currently got. The first chunk, for the Tags portion, sets the position for the "percentage" text field using a good old x and y method. The second chunk, for Titles, is setting the position for the smaller "title" text.

I am tying to make a number appear in a dynamic text window. I have a dynamic textfield on the stage with an instance name called count_txt. The code that I am using is shown below. Both tace statements show a value of 100 but nothing appears in the dynamic text window.
Is there a way to pass the textfield A text to a dynamic text input (flash) as I'd like to use the font embedding flash offers. I can make it work when loading a value from a txt file but I'm not sure how to access the value identified above as KitGroupID_16_TextOption_38 and make it appear in a dynamic input box. Eventually I might want to have 3 font choices for the user but I'd like to just see if I can get this working properly first.
Is it possible to login through flash using one Dynamic Text Field and one Input Text Field and no buttons? If so how? I have seen many tutorials dealing with logging in to PHP using flash but it requires you to make your own php scripts which i am not familiar with. What I'm trying to do is to write something in an input field and then it should show up in a dinamic field. I can make this happen, but the problem is that the dinamic field shows its new text in the same format as the Input field. For example, the input text is written in TimesNewRoman and the dinamic text is in Arial, but when the dinamic text shows the input, the text is still in TimesNewRoman when I want it to be in Arial.

When a user enters a number into the page count it makes a calculation and places the outcome into the dynamic textfield. This textfield is for the individual price.All of this so far works. What I want to do now is create another dynamic textfield for the total. So the individual price is multiplied by the quantity and this result is put in the new dynamic text field. I have the code for that working but here is where it gets tricky (for me anyway).The total price is to start off invisible. When I roll over the individual price the total price is to appear (For a test lets just say when I roll over an area the total price appears).To stop cursor flickering this should be done inside a movieclip. So... I have create a movieclip and placed a dynamic textfield inside it. They all have instance names BUT how do I reference it in script?I need to tell the resulting calculation to be placed inside the textfield which is inside the movieclip. If it isn't inside a movie clip I can do it. But how to I reference it when inside one?

I'm trying to input a dynamic text field into many dynamic movies. I use a for loop to successfully create 18 movies. I can't seem to get the text to be input dynamically however. I need a control in Flex 3 that is like NumericStepper, but that can display arbitrary strings. Does this control exist?
For convenience, I'm calling this a TextStepper. I want this as a compact way to display a list of string choices that a user can cycle through by clicking the up/down buttons. Compact means no drop-down or pop-up aspects of the control: the only way to change the selected index is to click the up/down button (which updates the text input value). Value cycling means that I really want to treat the underlying dataProvider as a circular buffer. So up/down clicks modify selectedIndex in modulo fashion.
