I am developing an application to display different time zones. Class works fine only once, later it fails to update the movie with dials of clock. I not sure what could be the issue, I am using delegates as methods weren't called previously.

I just want to make a timer counting down to an event and I found this one:

which works good enough for me, but the problem is that I need this timer to count the same time no matter in which time zone are you, but unfortunately this isn't the case.
know if the index effect the scope of an object because I am creating a game and for some reason, I get an error like below

updateObject is the loop for all my objects. I have one centralized loop and in that loop it calls on an array of objects that have been placed on the stage. all of them containing the method updateObject. to update the status of the object. addGameChild() is a encapsulated addChild() , that not only adds the object to the stage, but places it in a array so it's updateObject() method can be called on. it is also used to make it easier for garbage collection.
I add this actionscript code on the first frame. Variables are loaded but. The question is below the code.

View 4 RepliesI have a movie clip with hit zones over buttons. It looks like a cam corder and when you roll over them a thumb moves to that button and when you click. The thumb presses on the button. That all works great. I want to put buttons in the main scene over top of these that will change things on the screen when you click it. And get urls of the videos that I have on my website. But when I put the hitzones over other hitzones the ones in back dont work. Is there a way to make them both work or am I going to have to make everything contained in the movie clip? So in short can I have two buttons on top of each other that do two different things?

this works fine, however if i load a movie clip on top of this one the _hits are still active..when the loaded movie clip is unloaded, the movie behind has moved based on cursor movement. how do i deactvate the _hits on command?

It works very good, In this line, I get de current time of the flv:

And I need to display the total time too. By the way, I am not using the any flv component, I need to play the video in a custom player....
How can I display the timecode when using the flvPlayback component and custom skin?

I need this to work so that on my stage i can have a dynamic text box displaying the current time of the flv and the total time ---- example 3:45 / 6:58 where the 3:45 would update as the flv was scrubbed or played, or whenever a jump point was pressed. I found an example of this on this page.I have been using the as3 code to import my video and use cue points and for the life of me I cant get this to work.

Like if a function is triggered by a Key_DOWN, what would a code be to prevent it from running again until that 2 seconds is up? This question is for a 'reload' in a shooter. I retrieve a date and time form a mysql db through php and display it on my AS3 page in a dynamic txtfield but it also displays the xml tags, so it looks like this:
<date>Saturday 14.10 Time: 13.00</date>
How do I display this without the tags?
