I'm makking a simple flash player which loads movies as the songs.The song file is simply a preloader then in the next scene one frame which plays the song.I would like to know how I can have a display which shows the song time.

Which It should not do. Is there a way that we can unload previous song before loading new song.
View 5 RepliesI have a list of mp3-songs, when song 1 is clicked it gets streamed, a stop-button appears, if this Btn is clicked, this Btn disappears as it should - but if user forgets to click for stopping sound and clicks song 2, stopBtn 1 remains and the new stopBtn 2 also appears. there should be only one stopBtn, the one next to the song is playing.
I would like to move the stopBtn and I have tried several approaches move; graphics.moveTo; if(stopButton !=null) {removeChild (stopButton)}; I packed the var stopButton:Sprite in the header and so on.

I am recording FLV videos with Red5 server and playing them back in a Flex app. I am aware that Red5 does not properly inject the FLV MetaData, so I am using an external commandline tool to get the metadata in there.
Because I am injecting the metadata, my duration of the video is correct.
The problem I am having, and this is true with all FLV players I try to play the video with (even 3rd party stand-alone video players), is the PlayHead time is never started at 0. When I load up the FLV to play and lets say the video is 10 seconds long, the current time label on the playhead starts at 1-2seconds instead of 0 and the horizontal slider current time indicator also is moved away from 0 and is set to 1-2 seconds along the slidebar. the video plays back fine from what I can see though.
Is there a byte in the FLV that I need to change so that it will start the playhead at 0? I realize this is probably something to do with Red5, so if anyone has any work-arounds or potential things to watch out for that may be causing this
I am writing a mp3 player and having some issue getting the song length before the entire song has been loaded - which messes with my position indicator, as it needs to know the track length. I thought I could get the length from an ID3 tag, problem is ID3.TLEN returns undefined, though if I right click the track and show properties, the summary tab shows song duration, bitrate, etc... how I can retrieve the song length before the entire thing has been downloaded?
View 4 RepliesI am having an issue with my recently created flash site. I have loaded and tested this site on many different computers. There is a preloader which shows percentage of site loaded and bytes loaded. As far as I am concerned everything works great. When the owner of the company I designed the site for goes to check out things he gets an infinite load percentage and the site never shows up, only the preloader screen with an "infinite" percentage. The only difference between his setup and mine is he uses AOL online.?

It works very good, In this line, I get de current time of the flv:

And I need to display the total time too. By the way, I am not using the any flv component, I need to play the video in a custom player....

I need this to work so that on my stage i can have a dynamic text box displaying the current time of the flv and the total time ---- example 3:45 / 6:58 where the 3:45 would update as the flv was scrubbed or played, or whenever a jump point was pressed.
