May 27, 2011I made a simple picture slideshow with a timer, prev/next buttons, pause/play buttons and jump buttons. Everything went good so far.Now i'm trying make every picture go to a URL when the picture is clicked but only the link on the first frame goes to the URL when clicked the other 5 buttons do nothing when click.(FYI: I made alpha 0% buttons in a layer above pictures)I tried two different codes but both have no effect.

Nov 11, 2003i'm trying to zoom in on a picture at the specific spot where the mouse is clicked. ie if the mouse is clicked in the lower left corner, the pic gets bigger from there, not the center of the pic.the only way i can think of to do this is to reset the registration point to the clicked position. is this possible?

Mar 19, 2009I am trying to make an application that automatically picks a picture from a folder, example for it to grab a jpeg called "pic1.jpg" and display it on the animation?
I am trying to make a slide show, but I want the slide show to have at least 10 different pictures that it goes through (pic1.jpg, pic2.jpg, pic3.jpg (and so forth)) on the screen. Transformations are a plus.
I also own a Flash CS3, so if this is impossible to be done with Flash 8, tell me the instructions for Flash CS3

May 1, 2009I have inserted in an image and a button and tried both ways. When you click on the image I want a picture to appear. I am using this on a map of a building I want to be able to show pictures of what you would see if you were in the building. The only problem I am running into is that when you click where the picture shows up it will appear.

Feb 26, 2002I have animated button inside movie clip. On rollover, button zooms in and rotates. It even swaps depths (that took me a while). However, if I have 10 buttons on the screen, one of them, and only one, will not rotate, and will not zoom, but everything else works. The kicker? The button is never the same. To see what I mean... Well, I want my picture gallery to show, not only tumbs, but also and folders. Like, some person click on gallery button. It will show folders, and when that person click on one of that folders, then it will show photos.

Jan 13, 2009what i want to happen: when you click on gallery -> then bfa, it shows a list of names (movie clips). when you rollover a name, it plays a yellow fade in and a fade out on rollout. when you click a name, it opens an external movie clip that takes up the fullscreen. i want the movie clip that was just clicked to stay activated (yellow - to show that you already viewed this one) but still be clickable.

the this.enabled = false; keeps the name yellow but once you click it, you can no longer click this link. i think i'm really close and i hope I explained this as clear as possible. i just need to know what script would keep the movie clip stuck on the out.

May 14, 2009I have an animation that shows items highlighted in a diagram. As the items are highlighted, the audio will play (to explain the animation). because we are creating this for people with possible disabilities, we also created captions with text for the audio. So, in separate layers, we created speech bubbles and text that is synchronized to the animated actions on the screen. this will also be synchronized with the audio. We want to have a button (close captioning button) that when users press it, they see the text captions and if they press it again, they don't see the text captions. my questions are
1) what will be the easiest way to create the effect i am looking for?
2) what actionscript command will i need for the button's actions?

The idea is that the user will be able to click on objects around the room, and recieive clue, find keys etc. One of the problems im having is when the user clicks the lamp, it brings up a box over the screen to resemble nighttime, however, when the screen reverts to normal, none of the other elements, i.e the book, are clickable - again, im sure this is a simple solution that I am just overlooking, here is the full code;

Actionscript 3 :: Setting The Stage To Scroll Horizontally Left Or Right To Show Content When Button Is Clicked?
Mar 10, 2012I want to create a flash site where I have a long horizontal movie clip split into about five sections, each about 960px wide. The effect I want to achieve is when the user clicks on the button it will scroll horizontally to the specific section of the flash project. For example, if your on the home page and you click on the contact the movieclip will tween to the right until it reached the contact section of the long movieclip. And I also want it where if the user clicks on the home it'll scroll back to the home page. I can't seem to accomplish. I tried positioning with the x property and move right so many pixels. I'm thinking about setting like some coordinates or some kinds of reference points so when the button is clicked it will go to those specific points in the stage.

Say, if the main character says 'find my chair', and the player clicks on the chair, it's the good object and an audio file plays. If the player clicks on a spoon, it's the wrong object and an audio file plays. My question is: how can I do that in Flash (in ActionScript, right)? I've made a different layer for each object.
