I have a video player that is working great - but am trying to change the XML play list from one that is prev/next page to a scroller. I don't just want to straight up post it since it was purchased from another site.

i have a text inputbox in a config tab. when a user gives a input and click the "set new config" button it will go to a syatem where there will be a textbox.In thet textbox the prev input will be shown.how to do this?

These buttons work correctly and advance or reverse in sequencial order (slide1,slide2,slide3,slide4). However the movie can run from start to finish wihtout the use of the navigation. My problem is that if I let the movies run independently and then choose to use the next button while(for example) "slide3" is playing, the movie jumps to "slide1". Note that these slide labels are located within movieclip named "allunits" I know that the variable currentSlide is still equal to 1 thus returning the playhead to label "slide1".
I making a presentation with an interface on flash next and prev buttons im using scenes for the different slides on the presentation, all of them have audio on it, my question is how do i prevent that the audio from the prev scene to play on the new one?? i should say that on each scene there is an animation with the sound on it

View 1 Repliesi am new to flash and AS and I have created a custom image gallery, where thumbnails appear on the left of my page and once clicked they fade into he screen.however i have so many images that they do not all show on the page, and take up the entire left hand side - i would like to know how i could edit my code so that all the thumbnails (that are loaded from a .xml file) can be put into a scroller box.I would also like to add a function so that the image would close on mouse click of the bigger picture OR when a "close" button is clicked

I'm using the following mxml code for displaying a list of some data. I built a custom renderer which can have variable height. Each time a new data arrives, the scroller should go to the end of the list. I registered to the events which triggers an array change.
It's working fine if the height of items is the same. But if this is not happening, the scroller is going a little bit above the end.
If the height of an item from the middle of the list is bigger, then the last items are not visible.

I am working on an older Flash project created in CS3 ActionScript 2.0 How can I make the pointer cursor change to the hand when hover over a list item?_root.slidePanel.myList'myList' is the list. I have traced out the contents of the List MC and it has a child MC called 'content_mc'. I assumed this was the object containing all of my list items but the only members of this MC I can see (when tracing them out) are 'setRGB' and 'searchKey'.

View 5 RepliesThe movie clip is a scroller which I download a while back (I can't remember where from now) The contents of the scroller which i want to scroll is a seperate movie clip which loads it's contents from a .txt file. The problems I am having are:
1 - I cannot seem to change the height of the text box movie, I can change it in flash, but when i publish and play it just appears at a set size.
2 - the last link in the contents jumps like crazy when I hoover over it.
3 - when there is less content than the size of the text box I would like the scroller to disapear.
4 - If I add a mask around the text box, the contents disapear, i have in place a custom mask for the mean time but this will have to go.

I have an swf loaded in a browswer (fire fox) and i use log on console using [code]I have initialized my swf in the document class on the Event.Added to stage.and i have a clean up function performing all the clean up/exit process in the code on the event [code]Now Doubt that this is being called/ activated/trigered as i am not able to log the start and end of the function to the console.The console log is of firebug.What exactly am i missing here? I would like to call the cleanup function on reload of page or relode of swf or change of page.How do i trigger and log it properly

Per the API reference [URL] the page settings are readonly. How can I print something bigger than the default page size? Is it doable in AS2 or AS3?
View 2 Repliesi have my nave bar as my main swf then i load each page as an external swf in a mc container. each button should be marked when you navigate to the respective page. how would i load a current pages icon over the generic one when i navigate to that page then unload it when i navigate to another page?

I made it to where the numbers change colors when you click on them individually, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the number corresponding to the picture change colors when you press the "<prev" or ">next" buttons! I've experimented with "if/else" statements for days now, but nothing is working. The pictures are loading from an XML file. Here's the AS on the main timeline:

I'm trying to edit a Flash file, that get it's data from and XML file.Now when you click on one of the menu items, the page + page title should change, but somehow the page title remains the same. (at least for the first 3 menu items) But when you go to the last menu item and then back to one of the first 3 menu items, the correct page title is shown.I'm no flash / AS expert, so I can't really find out what the problem is, but it seems like it has something to do with this function
