I have created a mc (name=yearbtn) with a dynamic text caller year_txt. When I attachMovie "yearbtn" to root and set the year_txt.text,
those text show in the mc.But when I attachMovie inside another mc, and set the year_txt in the same way.Those text cannot show, but only showing the "yearbtn".
I've seen similar threads but couldn't find one with the exact same issue. I've a PDF / Word document with arabic copy when I try pasting that text in flash all the joined letters start appearing as individual letters.I've tried the dynamic text box solution in which you create a dynamic text box and assign the text to its variable that doesn't work. But strangely when you write arabic in dynamic text box (with out assigning the text to the variable) and double click to select the text box and its content the text starts appearing fine .. but when published its again all individual letter.

I have been making a memory game, where words are shown to the user. Once they have memorised the words they go to the next screen where the words that they have memorised are shown. They then have to drag each word into a "correct" place and a "wrong" place. I now want to edit it so that I can use two arrays one for correct words and one for wrong words. I want to generate random words from each of these arrays. I have sort of worked out how this is possible to do but using dynamic text, but am I correct in thinking that the whole dragging the words thing is not possible with dynamic text. (I may be wrong though, I am quite new to flash).

I have no problem dynamically loading text if I place a textField on the stage but I can't seem to get the following to work using the createTextField. I shortened my code to make it easier to read and still show what I am trying to do. Also I can I place the text within the BlueMenu or only on top of it? Is so how?

I have a scrolling dynamic text box, in which i have alot of information. I am trying to create a rollover effect for just a couple of words within this.
eg. Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Link Bla Bla Bla Link Bla Bla Bla
I know how to create button rollovers but that seems a bit tedious if im going to constantly change the content and links.I have added links that work and have colored them to show users they are links but id like a simple rollOver color change to occur when the user navigates over them. I have seen this done in many flash sites and have been searching for days without any luck.
Do i need to call external CSS or an xml/txt file to do this as there is no option to add actionscripting to selected text within the box.

On mouse over, I want the scrolling to stop so users can click on an item in the text box. All of the items will be tied to external hyperlinks. I want to populate the text box with an external file. I've done some searches on Adobe, but haven't found anything that takes me through the whole process.I have the complete Adobe Master Collection. So if this is easier in Flash Catalyst, let me know. I'm making it so there are static elements in the animation as well as dynamic elements. I'm thinking it will pull in all the data from an XML document - I've got that worked out. I know how to use Actionscript to dynamically create a text component, and I'm using TweenLite to animate that text component -- but how would I go about setting up a class that looks at the total number of dynamic screens that need to be created and animate all the text in a sequential order...one slide at a time.
I am wanting to create several dynamic text areas and have different paragraphs to be loaded from a txt file. I am using;

to load the text. The problem I am having is that I want to use only one txt file to house all of my different paragraphs. I can only get the first message box to display the text. How can I can the others to display the text? I've included sample files.

I have created an organizational chart for the company I work for displaying all current employees. Each contact is shown as a button that displays a 'popup' window on rollover. All of this works perfectly. What I want is to create an option to click on each button and the individuals email address be added to a dynamic text field at the bottom of the page.
Just to clarify, I am able to have text entered into the text field on each click, however, clicking on the next button removes the previous text. I want each click to create a new entry in a list. For example: "contact1; contact2; contact3;" etc etc. The end result would be for the user to copy all text (email addresses) from the dynamic text box and paste it into their Outlook "To" section.
