ActionScript 2.0 :: File For Local Playback And It Contains Some Animations?
Oct 15, 2010
Building a flash file for local playback and it contains some animations that I insert as .FLVs. It is set to play full-screen, but when it does, the video gets all jaggy. Is there a smoothing function for video like there is for jpegs? Or any suggestions for another way to approach this?
I have made a application that plays videos that are stored in a assets folder of the air application but when ever I run it on an hp slate the videos are really choppy. Is there a way to preload the video or does it have to do with the processing power? the videos are 1.72mb or smaller. They are flv format and they auto play when that application is started. I am using flash builder.
How would I go about checking this setting on a loaded SWF file? For example, I have parent swf A, loading child Swf B. Once swf B is loaded into child A, how do I check child B's local security setting property?
I'd like to distribute FLV files from my website, however I want a level of DRM control over the files. So far, I've been able to modify the FLV files to contain a 60 character ID at the very front of the file, but I can't figure out how to get AIR to extract the ID and therefore play the file. All I can figure out is using NetStream, but that won't let me skip 60 bytes, and so it thinks the FLV is invalid.
I used a fantastic XML video tutorial from this site -http:[url]...in a school project here - http:[url].....When I test the site on my local machine everything works fine,but, when I upload it to a web server , clicking on the thumbnails to change the video does not work - except for the first page of videos.
I currently creating a standalone language learning application using Flash Professional 8. The application allow users to record and playback their own pronunciation, so that they can compare their own pronunciation with the pronunciation provided in the application for learning. how can I save and playback recorded voice on local computer
i am having a problem launching a local html file from my swf. i have a button called print that when clicked it is supposed to open the local html file and print out the content. this is the code i used on the button
on (release){ getURL("folder/folder/file.htm","_self"); }
I have a HTML box and load a local html file from the project. In this HTML file I use jquery and I want to load an image from my user directory. I see the image from my user directory but jquery doesn't works. I get this error:
[Code]...
But if I load an image from the app workspace, everything works fine (I see the image and Jquery works). Is this a policy problem? The error says that is a "null object reference" problem, but this can't be true...
I am working with Flex, Flash, Action Script and I want to browse the local machine file system using Operating System's file browse window and select a file then i want to get the full path of the selected file. How can I do this?
I've created a short animation which contains various text and graphic elements. The first frame contains a label called "start" and on the last frame I've placed the code:
stop();gotoAndPlay("start");
When previewed the SWF loops and plays perfectly, however when I email the file on or when it's embedded into an HTML file or previewed on another machine, the SWF plays the first loop fine but then progressively gets worse with each loop - elements disappearing and/or animations not rendering properly.I've also tried this with a "published" version and it too does not playback correctl(except when I'm viewing in Flash, as opposed to Flash Player).
I downloaded an flv file using RealPlayer 11 (latest version), now when I play it back within my custom made video player, it plays fine untill it reaches the end. I have programmed the video player to go back to the beginning onComplete.
I have tried other flv files and they work just fine - could the flv file be corrupted.I need a resolve on this issue today, as I have a client waiting to approve of the custom video player. Also, he wants me to use the same player on some of his client sites.
I have an .flv file I created and imported it into the Flash timeline and needed to use an Actionscript with it because I need it to loop when it's finished. I exported it to an .swf file but I can't find any way to use the "ClearOverPlayMute.swf" skin with it on my web page.
Flash doesn't export the swf file with any playback skins.
I have a number of different videos (all of the same duration and resolution) encoded with almost the same content - however they have different colour schemes, etc., and I require my FLV player to be able to switch seamlessly between them.
That is, if the player is currently playing "test1.flv" and the user presses the 'switch' button, I want to switch over to playing "test2.flv" in the same player, picking up at the same point in time.
I used to have a server-side solution that could fake this, but that isn't a long-term solution. Might I ask how you experts would handle something like this?
Do I need Flash Media Server, or can it be done with just Flash?
We're currently developing a small Flash application to display our company's capabilties. This application will be stored on a small USB thumb drive that we give to our potential clients. When the thumb drive is accessed, users will see two folders "Media" and "Other"; and an SWF file entitled "Start." There is; however, one more file that displays: the interface/skin file that we used for our FLV videos (entitled "SkinUnderPlaySeekStop.swf"). If this file is not included in the same location as the main SWF file, the interface/skin will not display on the video.
We would like only the two folders and the main SWF file to be displayed on the root of the thumb drive. Is there anyway to move the interface/skin file into another folder (for example, the "Other" folder) and call it up from that location within the original FLA file?
I want to use a script on a button in my flash movie to open local files. This movie is going to be on a CD and I want to open some files through the movie.
I'm trying to load a radar image over a google map. The problem is, I'd like to load the image from a local file. I understand how to do this remoteley via a url, buit not from a local file. I've read something about embedding, but I don't know what embedding means. I'm going to need this image to change, and eventaully want to have a loop of images playing over the map. Below is what I have so far. You can see I've commented out the line with the url loading, and have a fail attempt at loading locally below it.[code]...
I am opening and testing data using the FileStream class which is supposed to avoid file security issues. It works fine until I try to save to a local file. When I test under adl I get a security error which I though was ok (at least it was attempting to save) until the app was packaged and tested on a device, but the file fails to save.
public class FilesApp extends MovieClip { var file:File; var xmldata:XML;
I try to upload file from local system to web server.My application is desktop application and I work with php server.Find below my code
In flex
var dropfiles:Array = evt.clipboard.getData(ClipboardFormats.FILE_LIST_FORMAT) as Array; for each (var file:File in dropfiles){ var fileFormat:String = file.extension; var fileUrl:String = file.url;
[code]....
With those code message "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:" appear on flex.
I am making a presentation. I have a swf file where I have a button when we click on it it will open a site. But my loCAL SWF is blocking the url. Error message is: Adobe flash player has stopped a potential unsafe operation...
I've written a SWF in FlashDevelop (using the open Flex stuff) and use it to load up a bunch of image files.
[Code]...
Now, this works fine in the debugger environment with, say, funcA("test1.jpg"), but when I try and copy the files into another directory, I get security errors, something about it not being 'Local with trusted' or some such. I assume local file access is possible via Flash if the SWF is on the harddrive too, right? I did try adding a Security.allowDomain("*"); to see if that made a difference, but seems not. If local file access isn't possible, do I have to find a server to copy everything onto even for just testing stuff?
I'm having a problem loading a local xml file into my swf. My ultimate goal is to parse the xml file into a list of guests attending a party. Here is the code I have:
Code: var loader:URLLoader; function loadXML():void {
[Code]....
As you can see, the first trace statement outputs the xml file with the tags and all. The second trace statement outputs nothing. I did try uploading the xml file to a server, and then using [URL] as the URL for the URLRequest, but that didn't work either.
anywhoo i have minimal actionscript training tho i know a bit... im trying to make an Item system were i make an object like a key or a helmet... and if i collide with it it disapears. and i get the item, then somewhere put _root.playerMC.standing.gotoAndPlay ("item"); .. maybe in the item i dunno..
so basically i set my characters up like playerMC then in that animation i have a body head arms and legs.. and in those i have different items equipped on each body part on each frame how should i set this up!!!.. i cant call those items deep in the animation the farthest i can go is like Playermc.gotoandplay ("walk") when i try to do like.. playermc.walking.head.gotoandplay ("item") it doesnt work..
I'm building a standalone projector which will be run locally without an internet connection. is it possible to be able to write variables to a text file on the computer?
In my Flash application, the SWF file is located on a serverand is downloaded to clients in a controlled network. I want to beable to load XML data located on the client machines into the SWFfile. It looks like security settings is not allowing thi tohappen, as the local files are treated as a separate sandbox.If I were to use System.security.allowDomain, how do Ipecify local files? It's not a domain or URL. Or is there another way to do this? I'm wading through thesecurity information, but I haven't found the solution yet.
