I have a HTML box and load a local html file from the project. In this HTML file I use jquery and I want to load an image from my user directory. I see the image from my user directory but jquery doesn't works. I get this error:
[Code]...
But if I load an image from the app workspace, everything works fine (I see the image and Jquery works). Is this a policy problem? The error says that is a "null object reference" problem, but this can't be true...
I've written a SWF in FlashDevelop (using the open Flex stuff) and use it to load up a bunch of image files.
[Code]...
Now, this works fine in the debugger environment with, say, funcA("test1.jpg"), but when I try and copy the files into another directory, I get security errors, something about it not being 'Local with trusted' or some such. I assume local file access is possible via Flash if the SWF is on the harddrive too, right? I did try adding a Security.allowDomain("*"); to see if that made a difference, but seems not. If local file access isn't possible, do I have to find a server to copy everything onto even for just testing stuff?
I am using FDT for Flex development and when I compile, and it tries to access a flv file, I get the error "cannot access local file". This is obviously a security sandbox thing.Now I tried adding crossdomain.xml to the root and it still makes the same error. I know somehow I need to add to my project use-network=false, but i cant for the life of me work out where the flex compiler additional arguments area is. I know in eclipse how to do it, but with the slightly modified FDT, i havent got a clue
I have a Flash project that plays FLVs from (http://) sources and it works fine when I publish it as AIR 2. I want to save and access my FLVs locally, but I can't seem to get it to work. I don't know if it is a matter of the correct path syntax, I'm also not sure what an Air app sees as a relative path. This is what it looks like for http: stream.play("[URL]") How do I make this local?
I have used LoadVars to load a srt file and manipulate its content successfully on my desktop computer. But when I post it on a real server, it can't be used.Here is my code. It seems that LoadVars cannot read an external file on real server or function parseCSV(raw) cannot work on real server.By the way, real server there I mean that this flash running on website [URL]
Code: //Display subtitle function loadSubtitle(subtitlePath){ startTimes1 = new Array();
Yes, you can access Local File System in Flex and that too with a standard SWF without resorting to Adobe Air.Check out the link below for full details and the SWF.
I try to upload file from local system to web server.My application is desktop application and I work with php server.Find below my code
In flex
var dropfiles:Array = evt.clipboard.getData(ClipboardFormats.FILE_LIST_FORMAT) as Array; for each (var file:File in dropfiles){ var fileFormat:String = file.extension; var fileUrl:String = file.url;
[code]....
With those code message "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:" appear on flex.
I'm trying to access local file system from Flex web application. I know it is pretty difficult, but I think there must be a way. Is there a way that Flex app can use AIR components or maybe web application can call some AIR module in order to choose files and upload?
I had linked to a url from my flash file's buttons by refering/taking the url address from n xml file...the whole flash file works perfectly within the flash editor..it takes the correct links...but when i put the swf file in an html page n put it in the local server, its recursively bring the index page(this swf file is in the index page) again for every click to the buttons.
I'm building an art installation which records video files and the idea is to upload each video to a server. The files typically come at at somewhere between 5 and 15mb and are in AVI (mpeg4) format.I'm using a Max/MSP patch (program) to do the recording and encoding, and controlling it remotely from Flash.Once Max has recorded the video file it passes the path to the finished file back to Flash.Flash is interacting with a web server via SWX/PHP for a number of other reasons to do with the project. I'd hoped to upload the video files using the following method:Load the video file into Flash as a ByteArray via URLLoader.Serialise the ByteArray as a String using Base64 encoding and pass that to a SWX/PHP method on the server which would in turn save it to a file.The problem is that serialising a large file such as an AVI is causing the Flash player to crash, so I'm going to have to look at a different method of doing the upload.Get a video file from the local machine onto a web server simple as that.
For me FLASH is such a pain with security and javascripting...but, I am trying to upload a basic flash video and I keep getting this security warning and the video will not play.
SecurityError: Error #2148: SWF file XXXXXXXXXXXXX.swf cannot access local resource xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.flv. Only local-with-filesystem and trusted local SWF files may access local resources.
I have not done anything different. It previews fine in Flash and Dreamweaver but not on the server.
I am a newbie to Flash and ActionScript 3.0 platform. I don't know whether this is the correct place to post this kind of queries/problems/issues here. Till now, I had posted only basic flash issues here in this forum. I feel this is the most powerful issue which created head-ache to me till now. I spent nearly 4 hours working with this issue. But, I don't find any solution even in google.I have created a swf file, which when gets executed, gets data from backend database and displays as items in Combo-box. In swf file, if we select an item from Combo-box, collects data from database and gets back to flash and displays them as items in Combo-box. Each item has a specific image(.jpg file)associated,which gets displayed on stage of flash file(.swf file) upon selected from combo-box.
I am calling/invoking the flash file, When I click on a Button/select a tab created within my Java application.But,when the button gets clicked/tab gets selected, Combo-box is visible in flash file, but with no elements when we try to click upon it and the following error is getting displayed in a dialog-box:Title of the error is: An action-script error has occured.[URL]
In Flash user can give permission to localhost and even local html file to access remote webservice.I fail to see the same thing for Silverlight which is a nightmare for testing on local pc.
I am working with Flex, Flash, Action Script and I want to browse the local machine file system using Operating System's file browse window and select a file then i want to get the full path of the selected file. How can I do this?
I guess this is more a question about PHP and MYSQL, but since Im using flash as the interface, I wanted to know if anyone knew this. Is it possible for someone to basically trigger one of my php documents that inserts variables to the Database through an swf ran outside my server? I know for example flash has a security feature built in to prevent flash from loading xml files from server to server. If anyone knows more about flash security issues and tips let me know
i am having a problem launching a local html file from my swf. i have a button called print that when clicked it is supposed to open the local html file and print out the content. this is the code i used on the button
on (release){ getURL("folder/folder/file.htm","_self"); }
I used [url].... to create access for any domain (for test) and copied it directly into file server and also test if [url].... is accessible. I checked flashlog.txt and found that [url].... is loaded but will be ignored because of its syntax error - its generated by crossdomainmaker website and also correct with specifications and examples over internet, so what can I do?
I am wondering if it is possible to use random file access for reading and writing data to file in Actionscipt 3.0 similar to that what is in Visual Basic?
I have basic knowledge of Flash and AS3.0. Suppose i have a flash swf file(main.swf). In this main.swf file, i loaded another swf file(sub.swf) by writing the following code snippet in main.swf file as shown below:
var textLdr:Loader=new Loader(); var noteUrl:String = "AddNote.swf"; var noteUrlReq:URLRequest=new URLRequest(noteUrl); textLdr.load(noteUrlReq); addChild(textLdr);
Now, how to acess the data present in main.swf into sub.swf.Note: Here data represents values/data stored in variables/objects of main.swf file.
I have a application developed in flex deployed on server. In the application data is filled by user and saved in cookies so as to be available even when the user closes the application. However if new version of application is released the user can still access the older version saved in the cahe. How can it be assured that whenever a new version of application is released the application is loaded from the server and not from the cache and at the same time data saved in the older version (in cookies) can also be accessed in the new version.
Got a really big problem here. I keep on getting "NetConnection.Connect.Failed" when I load a .asc file on my main.asc file, i use the method load() in my code. I really don't understand why this happens, but when i comment out the code that loads the asc file, I can successfully connect to fms. I can't figure out what's happening here. Btw, i'm using fms4 in windows 7 32bit.
I've looked through the scripts in the scripts/ directory, but haven't seen anything obvious.
I would like to be able to specify the file name to capture the stream to. At present, the capture file is always named the same as the stream, which means if I stream for a bit, stop, then restart, the originally captured file gets overwritten. I'd like to be able to incorporate something, i.e. the stream start time, into the capture file name.
I do understand the differance between ssas and as3. Not all, but all most everything I see written in SSAS can be writen into a external AS3 file. This leads me to quite a few questions I'm hoping you kind people can shed some light on for me.
1) What is the advantage of writing a SSAS file over an external AS3 file?
2) Can I write an .asc file in AS3 or do I have to use AS1? Please understand I'm using tuts from fmsguru.com and the books "Learning Flash Media Server" (pdf) and "Programming Flash Communication Server". I'm not a javascript programmer so nothing I do in AS1 seems to make any sence while everything I do in AS3 does. It may not seem like it to you people that are programmers, but to those of us that aren't, AS1 and AS3 are miles apart.
3) kind of off topic, but a security question. I'm not a "hacker" and don't like the jerks that are. My question is on external AS / SSAS files and swf files. When my fla is compiled into a swf does my external AS files remain external? I assume they do, but then what is the threat of the swf being decompiled? In most projects I would do I could care less if somebody had access to my fla as long as they don't have my actionscript files.
I don't know. Maybe on questions one and two I'm getting confused becasue I'm using out dated material. Again I assume that even though fms was built off of the javascript engine it should be able to read and execute my AS3 file. Other wise what was the point of the evolution of actionscript into a fully functional programming language?
i have a function(initialize) inside the a.as File.i want to access the that Variable from aaa.fla file?.How Can i access the Variable?my main class is a.as file ,inside a.as file i load the aaa.swf file

My aaa.fla Its in Another place
