i want obtain for each number any name of a day.
is there a custom component that extends DateChooser that only has the month and year but not the date grid to select a specific day. All i need is the month and year not any specific day. if the month is changed i could use the change event to select the 1st day of that month

The user may change the Month/Year but there is no point in choosing a date for the month as it is going to show the entire month anyways. So is there a way to maybe make the DateChooser date always the first and only allow the user to pick the month and year?

I know how to display the date of the user and I would like to create an onion skin animation for each separate chatacter(yes, I know how to create an onion skin animation but not how to do it separate for each character). My problem is this: I want to display the name of the month, not the number. Now I want each character animated separately in the date animation. for example:
S would appear with an onion skin animation, then about a quarter second later all the other characters with the same animation, E, P, T, E, M, B, E, R, [space], 2, 4, [space], 2, 0, 0, 2. Is there an easy way for a child to know which position in the array it currently has? I know I could just pass the index number into the child as I register them, but if a child were to be deleted from the array, all children past the deleted childs index would need to have their indexes updatedl. I'm building an application that is simulair to a realtime world clock. I want to be able to show the current day of the year and the current second of the year. Based on those variables I will calculate realtime data basd on data that I will put into the application monthly. I have written a script, but it's not very accurate. I think the time part of the script is slipping for some reason. Plus I have to account for leap years.

Is nearly right, but it seems to be a couple of days out - If I run it as at today (Feb 23rd 2011), It gives me 310 days till the end of the year, whereas (by counting on all my fingers and toes) I get 313 days.

I have a dynamic input textfield and I have a scrollbar successfully scrolling the text. As soon as the textfield receives focus the scrollbar tweens into position. I would like to have the scrollbar tween in only when it is needed, which of course would be when the texfield has one more character than it can display in the viewable area. View 2 RepliesFirst shortly about how my site works: When a link is clicked it checks if something is already displayed in either the Left or Right side of the screen (the website looks like a book, so I have a left page I want to display information on and a right page). If there is already something showing it hides it and displays the new object, together with this it enables all the buttons within that object (I have separate functions to set up each object).
