Hi, if I set the scale mode to noscale and then set the width and height to 100% how do I keep the movie from getting pushed beyond the top and left boundaries of the browser window so the scrollbars will appear?

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to create several pop-up windows that will initiate when buttons within flash are pressed. I've tried using this tutorial... [URL] However, when I try setting scrollbars=no so that the pop-up windows I'm making wont have any scrollbars, I find they appear anyway, and obscures part of the total html file which is trying to open. I've also tried this tutorial... [URL]. and find the same thing happens. Even though I switch scrollbars to "no" or "0", they still appear.
View 8 Repliesmy problem is about not being able to make a complete full scale website using flash. for testing I coded a colored square(no outliner), (made it a movie symbol and named BG) in flash to fit stage height/width;
BG.width = stage.stageWidth;
BG.height = stage.stageHeight;
BG.x = 0;
BG.y = 0;
then I publish it with HTML settings of;
no scale
dimensions %100
alignment center/center
If I open the swf directly I see that it is completely covering whole window (no matter how much I rescale the window). But when I open html, it is covering the window -2mm on all sides (those 2mm are left white)? and when i rescale the window that white areas are kept and the rest is covered with image. I tried to make
BG.x = -100;
BG.Y = -100;
to check whether it would fill top left part, but still those areas are left white.
I'm using an iFrame in a Flex 3 project. The problem is that if the user opens my site in a small browser window, they don't get scrollbars. How can I solve this problem? Is there a way to force the browser to put up scrollbars?
If I set the main app to horizontalScrollPolicy="on" verticalScrollPolicy="on" or to "auto", then as you scroll down, the iFrame is stuck to the top of the browser window and obscures the content.

I'm currently trying to make the contents of a window draggable and disabling the scrollbars on it.
This is the code i got to create the window and add the contents to the window. The window creates flawlessly and the contents gets loaded too but i can't get the contents to drag by clicking on the contents itself.

I have a flashmovie that measures 950x675 px. If the user have a smaller webbrowser window than my movie i want the movie to be fitted in the browser window. But if the browsers width and/or height measures more than my movie i don't want it to fit (zoom), then the swf should only be centered.
View 0 RepliesIs there any way to make a full browser swf that, at a certain point, stops scaling to the stage and allows the browser to use it's native scrollbars? For example, say my flash site has a top bar (it's y is always 0) and a bottom bar (it's y might be stageHeight - 15). Is there any way to tell the movie to stop scaling if the bottom bar's y is less than say 300, and from that point have the browser display it's scrollbars allowing you to scroll the content?
View 4 RepliesMy vision is to have a colored square at the top of the site Im working on which should span across the entire browser window. I have created a square 1280 x 100 pixels in size and imported it to the stage, alignment is set to x=0, y=0 ad alignment. The scene is the same size as the square I 've imported. When I view my Flash creation its displayed 8 pixels from the top left corner of the browser window. The flash file only contains the square and nothing else. take a look at the 3 files I've attached: issue-scrreen1-3.jpg. The first 2 screens are my Flash, properties and library screen shots. The third screen shot is my browser window.

how to horizontally center my Flash movie in the web browser window after publishing?
A bit of background: I was able to achieve this using <center></center> tags a few years ago. But I have since upgraded to CS5 and I understand that this old method is now obsolete.
I have found a few threads/forums that address this, but I know nothing about HTML and these threads don't help me because they assume you have more knowledge than I possess. When opening up the index.html file in Dreamweaver I can't find anything that looks vaguely familiar to what is being discussed. I have found some code samples using <div></div> tags but have no idea where to place it.
So I will need it explained to me in a step by step fashion, including which file I need to fix and what program I should use. Code samples will be very welcome if you can tell me exactly where it goes.

View 2 Repliesi am creating a website for a band, with an mp3 player. i want to be able to make an mp3 player that pops up in a separate browser window. the mp3 player would have a "playlist" that can be dynamically changed from the main window, which gives a list of albums & tracks to choose from. the model for this is Rhapsody's web interface. so, how would i go about creating & dynamically changing the playlist (while music is playing) across multiple browser windows? the "playlist" would be an array of references to mp3s, i guess-- so is there a way to pass events & variables across the windows?

I've got a movie with a "next" button. The movie is approximately 1330 px wide. The "next" button needs to move left and right within that width as the browser window is resized. For instance, the browser window starts at greater than 1330px wide so the "next" button is at the far right edge of the movie. The user then resizes the browser down to 800px wide. The "next" button needs to move left to 800px. The entire movie can't resize, only the "next" button in that movie must move.

I'm creating a simple liquid flash site layout with one MC that does not scale and remains at a constant position, and one mc that should stretch to fit either the height or width (whichever's larger) of the stage, but scale proportionally. I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the code for that, but when I put it in, the mc doesn't scale at all, in fact it just disappears! Could anyone take a look and let me know if you see what's wrong?

I'm working on a school project. It contains a main section which has 7 buttons. Each of these buttons is a character which you can zoom in to, see who they are, click and see a small cinematic/animation and proceed to it's respective section. I have a couple of concerns.
1. What is the best way of loading my project? I've been thinking of using the loadMovie and have placeholders, each section with a progress bar. what should I load when?
2. how can I make the flash movie resize in the browser window using actionscript ? so that I have no problems with screen resolution sizes. I use 1280x1024, but I guess there are still people on 800x600(which is lame) Here is an example of the resizing I mean: [URL]
I've seen a cool effect on: [URL]. Click on DEVLAB and than select the fourth icon. When loading the movie, the browser-window changes it'd dimensions. How can I do this?
View 2 RepliesI have created a fla file in adobe flash cs3. This contains a mainstage with a menu (is a movieclip) and a background (actionscript gradient). I have set the movie to scale so that when it is viewed in a browser it will be adjusted to the size of that window.
My problem or what I want is the following :
- The menu and text of that menu must stay the same size, as created in the fla file, when a scale is done.
- The content of the movie(not the menu) must stay in proportion.
An example site that I found, that demonstrates what I want is [URL]. You can change the browser window size and the menu text size stays the same but the content goes in proportion of the window size.

View 1 RepliesHow do you change the html scrollbar (the one that you see in the far right of your browser) with your own images? I know it's possible because i've seen it before.
P.S.: I am aware of and I know how to change the color of the scrollbar. That is not what's expected. Also i think it's made possible by Javascript.
Regarding System.capabilities.screenResolutionX in FMX, how would I achieve a movie clip on my stage to automatically alight to the left of the screen/browser depending on the viewers screen resolution?

IT was working in another flash movie, but I moved it to a different flash file and now it's not working. The hit buttons within the movie clip buttons have this action script:

If you go here:and view my flash site at a resolution of 1024x768 in Firefox it has a vertical scroll bar in the browser but not a horizontal scroll bar (is there a way to make it have a horizontal scroll also) because you can't see all the copyright into at the bottom right. Also, Internet Explorer opens the page with NO scrollbars at all (you can't even scroll down to see the content)

getURL("http:url....);
to open the page on default browser. Only problem is the browser window is opening at the size it was last used. I like to see it opens full screen.
