I can't seem to remove / unload the external swf files e.g when the carousel.swf (portfolio) is displayed and I press the about button the about content is overlapping the carousel (portfolio) . Everything works well the only problem is I've promised a client that as well as a "title" and "description" I will also include a clickable URL link. I can edit the flash to a certain extent but I am having a nightmare of a time including a clickable url. Is there anyone out there who can help? "photo_description", "photo_title" and "photo_url" are the names of the dynamic text fields.

Structure: There is 1 main file that loads external SWF files depending on what is clicked on.One of the external SWF files loads its text from external text files. This works fine when viewing the SWF applet on its own. But when viewing as a whole site, the text doesnt appear. How do I wait for an external .txt file to load in ActionScript 3? If I use URLLoader, I have no guarantee that the file has loaded, since it dispatches an event when it's complete. I'm calling the loader function from another class, so I can't simply stick the next actions into the event listener.

For some reason, loading the text from an external file has complicated things a bit. Nothing formats the way I want it to...the text size doesn't even change.When I started with this movie, I had my copy in a string in the AS code and was able to format the text color, font, size, textbox width and height as well. No problems. That's issue #1.
Issue #2 : you'll notice I'm using the greensock classes to animate a movieclip (also has text in it). I'm using a mask layer over the MC. When I try running the movie, my animation works fine, but none of my text loads...and it doesn't matter if it's a text string in the code or an external text doc. I was told that I need to embed the font..which I have the code for, as you'll see below..but it did nothing.

i'm building a website using flash. i have a external swf file that i want to import into my website. i thought this would be an easy task but for some reason when i load the movie, it flickers. my website (parent swf) was build using 1.0. The external form swf was build using 3.0. My approach:
1.create an empty movie clip called mcForm
2.go to the mc clip page i want to pull the external movie into
3. within my actions layer, I call the following function loadMovie("main.swf", mcForm);
If i write:
LoadMovieNum("main.swf",0);
then the my main.swf opens correctly but closes the parent swf file. I wan the main.swf file to be embeded within the parent file.
I'd attached one preloader.zip file in that there is FLA and SWF file is there now when you run the source file after completing the preloader to 100% it load test.swf file, now you export the file to preloader.swf and when you will run the preloader.swf file it will run properly but when you put this preloader.swf file into html file and after that you open this html file what will happen that after loading 100% preloader it will not to load test.swf file from html file.

Everything works perfectly for nearly everyone - you click a menu button, and the content text comes up fine. However, a couple of people have found that the text shows up as "undefined". I have checked the player versions of the people where it doesn't work, and it is the same as for those where it does work, so that ain't the problem.
I don't understand why it works perfectly for nearly everyone, but a small number of people have this "undefined" text problem. It seems to be a problem with loading the external text file, but I don't know why. I have a main flash movie, and load the text in the first frame, using the following:

I then have a couple of dynamic text boxes in the main movie - one called ErrorText (for displaying an error message to the user) and one called ContentText (for displaying the content). I use an external menu swf which jumps to a specific frame in the main movie, depending on which button is clicked. Actionscript on the main movie frame for the first button does the following, with the other frames similarly configured:
