ActionScript 3.0 :: Load In Text Info From The Same Xml File To The Left Side Of The Images That Load In

I have a rotaing menu that loads in images from an xml file, I would also like it to load in text info from the same xml file to the left side of the images that load in. In my main .fla have created a movieclip and called it 'textInfo' and inside that I have two dynamic text fields called 'headerText' and 'bodyText' where I want to load the text in. this is what I am using to loading in the text in my actionscript, is this correct?
i have banner with 5 images fad in fade out effecti need to load images & test from external file " text file or xml file " with keeping fade effects on imagesall ways i know can't keep fading effect on images so
if i have a text field which is loading text from an external txt file and is HTML enabled, can I use <img> tags to load an image? If not, is there an equivalent?
Any tips or methods(encryption, plugins etc) to load flash files (i.e. swf) as quickly as possible at the client side? consider files size is between 5MB - 10MB....

I'm more Graphically inclined so bare with me. I need to dynamically load images from an XML file and I usually find badly written tutorials that I can't understand or I find a .fla but don't understand the code in it.
which after a lot of looking ticked all my boxes for a gallery tutorial, the only problem is that is not finding my images when I change the url location in the tut xml to the root location of my images.
im making somekind of an imageloader flash files, with a next and previous button, and a square to load the *.jpg file, and another square to put a description text. how if i want to give a description text using a *.txt file who has the same name as the image file? how to tell flash to display texts inside a textfile in a square?
I'm trying to load all the images to display on the stage from an xml file.I am also trying to add them onto the stage using the Bitmap class. This is where I am having trouble. I am using the Bitmap class so I can use their width and height.Right now I'm only able to see one image on stage when I use the Bitmap class. If I don't use the Bitmap class and just addChild(iconLoader) inside the loop in the xmlLoaded function I can see all of the images. But I want to use the Bitmap class.
I am rearranging a flash by adding more picture. By default it was 8 pictures but I want to add unlimited number of pictures on XML file and want to load them in Flash. The XML file is parsed into an array (code provded below). I can not figure out the problem as the flash shows only the default 8
pictures, not showing the additional pictures that i have added. I was hoping someone here can help me in taking the parsed XML file and help me load the image
into the movie clip. Also I want to redirect all the Rotate Picture (3d-carousel-menu) links to the Flash
picture showing state. I mean all the carousel-menu links will be linked to image showing stage.[code]...
where I can find a tutorial for a scroll bar and the content you are scrolling is loaded from a html file? I saw one where you can do it with a .txt file but you cant put images on it, so do you know if it is possible to load the content from a html file with images?

IM trying to load an XML file with images and their descriptions and titles however when i attempt to trace the length of the XMLList, it displays as empty. heres the code.
The desired affect is simple: I have a single button... with each click I want it to load text into a dynamic text field and load a corresponding picture or movieclip.There are only three unique text/image combinations- after its displayed the third, with the next click I want it to just start over. All the text functions perfectly with each click.
The problem is:I use "createEmptyMovieClip" then use the resulting clip as a loader clip.. With the first click I want a movieclip from the library to load, so I use the "attachMovie" method- it displays the first library fine.With the next click I want to load an external swf- so I call the "loadMovie" method of the loaderclip... The external swf loads just fine replacing the first library clip.The third clip is where I have problems... now I want to load another library item into the loaderclip... so I tried using the attachMovie method again but the external swf remains static... then with the next click, I discover the first library item no longer loads and the external swf remains still playing- it's like once it's been loaded into the loaderclip it cant be moved...
So I tried adding the "unloadMovie" method in the code for the third click.. it successfully removed the swf... but the next line of code immediately after the unload statement, doesn't work. The line calls the attachMovie method for the loaderclip... but the library item doesnt load... Oddly enough, with the next click, the first library item now does load as if everything's fine... It seems like you cant use the unloadMovie and attachMovie on the same executing code? if that makes any sense... the basic idea was that if I couldnt get the attachmovie method to replace the loaded external swf, then I would use the unload method to remove it, then have code immediately after, to then execute the attachMovie method... but it still doesnt load the library clip. and I know it's not a type-o, because when I comment out the loadMovie and unloadMovie statements, it loads both the library items perfectly ? A few days ago I manage to modify a code I get from a post here. The file was from tommywizbang[URL]It works fine, but at the end I have the idea of use HTML format to load images on the text block. The idea works fine with static text, but in this code is not working and I'm not sure if it is because of the original AS2...
I have successfully dynamically loaded Jpegs into my flash document(using PHP), but then I have another small problem.When I dynamically load the image (example: image_icon_bluesky.jpg) I then need to tell the MC that is holding the loaded image that it needs to do this...

SO basically every time a new image is loaded in my sort of "loop" script. I need to tell the image that it needs to put specific code onto the MC using specific "image" details for that specific image.
I hope this is clear. Basically what I'm trying to do.On my flash stage I already have MC's that have their alpha properties set to "0". Lets say there are 3 images. One MC is called Blue, other is called Red and the last one is called Yellow.Now using AS + PHP I have dynamically loaded 3 Jpeg's .

i am really trying to use AS3 but having many difficulties using common tasks that seemed straightforward before. i want to find out the totalframes of an SWF that has been externally loaded using the load method.[code]i tried using trace(ldr.totalframes) just to test it but continue to get errors when i do.
I have a big problem - I decided to make a website using flash as I am good with photoshop and thought it would be fairly easy to construct in flash using tutorials. All went well except now the website is published, weird things happen. The homepage works fine but when you click on "portfolio" some of the buttons don't appear and when you try the buttons, some images don't appear. Occasionally some of the buttons take you to the wrong place also. When I test the movie in flash, everything works fine so I can't work it out. I am a complete novice so advice will have to be spelt out in black and white.
