ActionScript 2.0 :: Make A Scrolling Menu With All Updates From Right To Left - Newest To Oldest?

What I want is to have a horizontal menu with all my updates from right to left newest to oldest and have the first say 4 on the screen (or under the mask...?) and when you move to the right it moves right slowly and left does the same but the middle doesn`t move either way (you gotta be like 20px from the end to make it scroll I mean) and suggestions? like this one but this one doesn`t work so hot for me

I have to duplicate a movie clip on a movie, to make an endless scrolling menu. The problem is I don't know real well how to do it, I can do it fine with graphics but it looks like not possible to do it with mc.here's a sample of my code I am trying to attemp

scrolling 2 sprites. Look at the image below. One more thing, the right menu can have only an few items at a time that do not need scrolling but when more are added then the scrolling will need to take effect.

I have created a vertical menu that scrolls through menu items in a movie clip.There is a big white gap when the movie clip runs out, and it snaps back to the beginning.I would like it to scroll seamlessly, having the end join up with the beginning again without any space.I would like it to scroll to one end of the list and STOP, and scroll back the other way and STOP - without any white space.URL...

I remember i stopped using flash when it was like flash 4.0 or something... at that time they had swift 3d and i bought colin moock's actionscript 3.0 or something. what is the newest version of flash now, and does it still use actionscript? what about swift 3d?

how to allow the user to scroll a graphic either right or left. when the user moves the mouse to the left or right side I want the image to move the other way (if mouse is at the right the graphic moves left), but stop when when the user gets in the end of the image.

how scroll a movie clip across the stage with actionscript rather than tweening.
Basically I have a simple movie clip that consists of around 12, text only, buttons and I want mutiple instances of the movie clip to scroll left->right across the screen, repeating itself seamlessly. At the moment I am tweening it but the file size has become unmanageable.

My swf is 600px wide, and most of the pictures does not exceed that. However, some of the pictures needs to be presented in a larger width. url... solves the problem in a great way, by scrolling the images to the left automatically. (for example, check the second picture in Knut Bry's portfolio) My problem is that I can't figure out how on earth I'm gonna do that. Can anybody help me? Or maybe point me in the right direction?[code]

How to stop the scrolling if the mouse is out either left or right? It will stop at the point when mouse is rollOut for both left and right scrolls.. or let say when the scrolling will stop when the mouse is away...

I'm having some troubles trying to scroll a container MovieClip across the stage.I've attached an EventListener to the stage to track the MOUSE_MOVE MouseEvent, but it scrolls in a weird way (when halfway the screen it shows about 300 px of the container, when going below the horizontal centre, it goes up and disappears from sight.This is my code:

Im making a horizontal thumbnail-scroller. Thumbnails are loaded in to a MovieClip and placed side-by-side with some spacing.When I move the mouse to the far right of the stage, the last thumbnail is to the far right on the stage, and when I move the mouse to the left, the movieClip.x = 0.
I can do this and have a script ready. BUT: If I would like the first thumb to be at 0 when my mouse is 100px from the left side and the last thumb to be to the far right of the screen when my mouse is 100px from the right side, how would I make this happend?I've spent $30 on scripts from activeden and 5 hours on trying to make this happend, but I just CAN'T find the solution..

I am trying to do the following: I have a project file open in CS4. It currently has a background image which is locked. I want to include a menu with links/sublinks on the left side, a corporate video in the middle and another video on the right. The menu on the left (links/sublinks) simultaneously controls the other two videos. If the user clicks the 'stop' link, both videos stop. I would also like to include a scrubber, to control the video (play, pause, rewind, mute).
I am trying to do this in pieces - first get the video imported and playing, then create scrubber/playcontrols, then incorporate second video, and finally add the menu (links/sublinks). I have created sites with Flash, but this project has me baffled. I have spent months on it. As an example - I am struggling just to import the first video. Do I embed it? It seems as though each time I import the video, it does something different. I was told to embed it into the timeline (each frame of video would be on its own frame in the Timeline). This would alleviate AV synch issues, and allow me to control everything at once.

I'm working on a flash website which is published as a 100% x100% with no scale but I want to add a menu wich has to been shown always at the left of the screen. At home I've got a resolution of 1024x768 but on my work 1920 x 1200. In both cases I like to see the menu in left. Because i like to design some sort of paper strips wich are only visible for like a bit. On a mouseover it will be totally visible. Do I need to add some actionscript with a screensize detection and then some code with _y _x and stuff to place it or do I need to change the settings for the html publish? Im using this [URL] the thing is, that Im using it as an external swf. so the pics appear moved to the left... I think it must be somethiung realted to the root on the actionscript... some distance... I guess I have to take the root off in someplace.

it is unbelievable how many ppl have asked for help on this that i've seen and have been ignored...all i see is tons of ppl viewing and noone bothering to reply..not even to say they doan know how...well i hope that that is not the case with this post i need to scroll a vertical xml menu as per "the xml driven menu" [URL]..
i don't need a menu with a text area or anything like that...just a plain old menu that can scroll because my list will be very long. something like the infinite menu created from xml would be great too..
