View 2 Replieshere is some code for a rotating crank that controls an image gallery. refer to the "image viewer stops?" thread in the flash mx forum (sorry don't know how to link to a forum yet!) for more info. attached is the fla. i want to be able to crank clockwise to scroll images forward and counterclockwise to scroll images backwards. If i keep cranking, i want the images to continue to change, if i stop cranking, i want it to stp on that image. it doesn't sem tooooo hard, i'm just numb from tryig to figure it out.

The dimension of the stage is smaller then the 3 X 4 grid therefore I will need a vertical scroll bar to scroll through my images. In addition, whenever the user rolls over one of the images the edges would glow. Also, when the user clicks on one of the images, it will bring them to a separate frame. I was wondering how I would attempt to do this. Since I will be frequently adding new thumbnails, I heard that I should look into XML. If I am to do this using XML, I am confused as to how I would do this.

The right-hand edge has a border 4px wide, but all 3 other sides are only 2px, suggesting the mid-point of the edge is classed as the border. Why isn't the edge drawn 'inside' the rectangle?

My question applies only when I work in 16 bit system resolution, so when I apply some text and apply 'Anti-alias for readability' with embedded chars, there is some strange filled rectangle showing around the text box. The same applies when I add any kind of filter to a text or image. You may see the exact problem by clicking on the link below: http:[url]....
- Notice the rectangle around the text boxes ('anti-alias for readability' applied, it doesn't matters is it static or dynamic text)
- Notice the rectangle around the middle dark-gray box with glowing effect applied
I will say again, this problem occurs only in 16 bit system resolution, it is not applying in 32 bit.

View 3 RepliesI've a flash games site, and Im having a lot of difficulties to make it show in internet explorer 8.When you are playing any flash, the arrow keys that should belong to the flash scroll the page up and down (probably left and right too). This was happening in both ie7 and ie8.I placed the flash inside an iframe, that fixed to IE7, but the problem persists on IE8.If I change the flash wmode from transparent to window, the page stops scrolling, but this breaks all my menus and banners, that get hidden behind the flash when they expand.How can I place a flash, with wmode transparent, and make arrow keys work in the expeted way in IE8?
