The 2 swfs work fine alone. The pause,play, rewind, fastforward work great.The problem is having the 2nd swf replace the 1st. When its paused and played it begins where it was paused but then it also begins to play another mp3 from somewhere else on the timeline( to me it actually sounds like its from the swf that it had replaced).I've used

Using Flash 8 and CS3.I have video clips that are SWF's and want to load them into a blank movie clip one after the other automatically. So when one movie ends the other one will load up and play.I have tried using a wait function and it didn't work, it just kept playing the 1st clip over and over again.

I already have the map and the panoramic swfs. But im clueless as to how to actually put them all together in one document. I tried by using this method but for some reason that loads just the panorama swf and not the picture inside it.

i've working in flex for some years and it seems to me it's an awesome tool. Some days ago i've had an extrange behavior in my datagrid.
I have a php service which reads a database and sends this data to felx. The service and the info saved in the dataprovider in flex are working without problems, but when datagrid shows the loaded info, it shows many cells with wrong data. The data shown seem to be mixed with other cells. I have two registers: "The lightbulb is red" and "The dog is dangerous". But the datagrid shows e.g. "The lightbulb is Dangerous" or "The dog is red". When i see the dataprovider in a breakpoint all data is correct.
But it's even much strange when I click over a problematic cell, this automaticaly changes its content to correct values.

On the live and store pages there is a text link within the copy, any idea of how I can format that as xml tags as I'm finding that easier to control, the rest of the site mainly uses xml text just these two pages are using external .txt docs because of the urls. View 1 RepliesI have just completed the "Transitions Between External SWFs" tutorial and I'm now I'm at the stage of altering a few things in there to suit my needs. But I've run into a problem...For my buttons, intead of "Button" symbols, I want to use "Movie Clip" symbols - reason being is that I've got some specially animated Movie Clip buttons that I wish to use.To get this... err "working"... with my Movie Clip buttons I have needed to use "_root." when referencing to the container Movie Clip. Now that works to an extent, but for some reason each button plays only "red.swf" even when there is no mention of it in the ActionScript and is instructed to play "blue" for example ("red.swf" happens to be the first appearing movie).Normal method with Button - works fine!

View 3 RepliesI am loading eight external swfs by way of eight buttons with actionscript to remove the swfs and sound after a new button is clicked. This works fine except that as soon as you get to the frame where the actionscript is all the swfs load at one time on top of each other. I don't want any to load until the button is clicked for the right one. MouseEvent listener works but only after all the swfs have loaded. How do I get the swfs to load only when the buttons are clicked. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

I've been trying to reproduce an animation effect I've seen on the Armani website, but I'm stuck trying to duplicate an empty movie clip with image loaded into it. The duplicates exist and I can move them, but they are invisible. Since the duplicates reside on depths above the intitial clip I'm confused about why they are invisible. The duplicates are scripted to follow behind the initial clip - each offset by 30 pixels (though I don't have that working perfectly).

okay, i'm trying to create a full website myself, and inside my main scene movie, i have a movie clip for the content.. inside THAT clip on a frame for the links, i have another movie clip that has all the link buttons embedded... i've got those buttons set up so they stagger fade in as an effect... my problem is, they just keep repeating, and i want the fade in effect to stop after the first time. i've got a stop keyframe after the tween of every button motion, but i dont know the correct code for the movie/button clip itself to play once and then stop.. this is what i have right now, as an action on the movie clip with the buttons inside it:

I recently created a site using the "Transitions between External SWFs" tutorial for Flash MX 2004. I use this to load the sections of my site into the main movie file. Each section is an External SWF file. When a viewer clicks on a navigation button, the specific external swf move will load and play. Currently, a viewer would need to click on another navigation option to close the current external swf file. I would like to add a close button to each of the external swfs so that a view has the option to close the window without clicking on a naviagtion link.

So, I have a movie clip in the library (ClipA) - it is linked to a class.
Inside Clip A there are 3 other Movie Clips (SubClip1, SubClip2, SubClip3).
When I place ClipA on the stage i want to adjust the frame that each of the SubClips are on.
BUT, when I try to set them to a frame in ClipA's class file i get an error like this:1061: Call to a possibly undefined method gotoAndStop through a reference with static type flash.display:DisplayObject.
