ActionScript 2.0 :: Mp3 Volume Controls Not Working In Loaded Movieclip?

I've created an Mp3 player with dynamic sound controls. Everything works fine when tested in the swf, but when I load the mp3.swf into a separate movieclip in another swf, the volume control does not work.
I've tried setting the lockroot to true and it still does not work.
Here's the code:

I have an issue with an Mp3 player that I've built. The volume controls work fine in the original mp3 swf, but then when I load it into a movieclip in a different movieclip, it no longer works. I've tried the lockroot function, defining the sound class to "this". See the last function for the vol controls. Let me know if it's more convenient to get the original .flas, I can give a link to the source.

I've got a serious of games which in turn load off a main main swf.I have mute and unmute buttons on the main menu and the same buttons in each game.When I unload/load a game I want the volume to stay as it is so they player doesn't have to keep turning the volume off. AudioOff is the button shown when the volume is off and AudioOn is the button shown when the volume is on.The code I've got now keeps the volume on or off through the games but the buttons aren't showing up correct with this code..

I've inserted an audio file into my flash movie and I wondered if there was an easy way to add some volume control and/or an on/off audio button to the movie? Or would this have to be scripted using actionscript?

I had seen different examples of volume controls for videos. I had built one that works, but the volume control is outside the main controller/Holder, so If I move the Holder the volume stays. I tried placing the volume controller inside the holder, but I loose the ability to drag and control the volume. here is the AS3 code I have.
Holder_mc is the main mc that will contain all other controllers.

I have a swf that loads external swfs. I am trying to add a mute button to the container swf that controls the volume, so the user can mute and unmute the sound. However, I cannot figure out how to accomplish this. I cant get setVolume from AS2 to do the job. I have also tried SoundTransform.volume=0 and that didnt work.

I'm new to Actionscripting and I want to add a sound file to my project with controls to stop and play and a volume slider. I'm using this actionscript for the controls. It works but right now you need to click the play button for it to start. Is there a different way to write it so that the music starts playing when the scene starts, and then the user can stop or play it again and change the volume?[code]

Is there any way I can create a slider on my desktop to access some of the controls of the YouTube Video player like volume, pause, play, playback speed? I know it is a flash player, but would this involve accessing the YouTube API or something else? For example, I'd like to program something similar to what's provided by the Enounce MySpeed application (control over play back speed).

I am working on a simple drag and drop game which works fine by itself.
But the problem is that when this slide is loaded into a bigger gameloader swf. The x axis does not update itself.
Thus when the draggerable gets drag, it moves in relative to gameloader's stage size instead of its own stage size..
Is there any ways that I can lock coordinates of the X and Y axis to that of the game instead of the gameloader?

I am developing a simple galaga clone for my site, its at [URL] . You will notice the controls work fine in firefox, opera, safari, chrome, etc. However, in IE, the controls are only triggered if the mouse cursor is hovering directly over the player ship.
The playership object is created in the main document class which passes a reference to the stage to the playership class.

Which is then added to the stage from within the document class (gameMain)
stage.addChild(ourShip);
The playership class then monitors the mouseX and reacts accordingly. The code for the ship controls which are linked to the enter_frame eventhandler is

I have an FLV Playback component in a website that I'm working on and for some odd reason the controls do not work. The video loads and plays fine and the controls appear but you cant click on anything like you can when you assign the skin in the parameters. It is a default Flash skin. At first I thought it was due to the video layer being under a mask, so I moved it on top and it didnt change anything.

I'm trying create an expandable banner that when expands plays a video that has play, pause, mute buttons and a seek bar.
I've successfully created the video player and converted it to a symbol and it works when I copy it into other flash files so I know it's the banner that troublesome.
The problem is when I use it in the expanded part of the expandable banner I can't click on any of the buttons. I can see it's working as the video is playing and the seeker bar is moving. It's almost as if there's an invisible button over the top (the hand icon is visible) stopping me from hitting the buttons of the player.
The code for the expanding banner is very simple (see below)

I used the new FLVPlayback component to progressively download a flv video. When I test the movie locally it works fine, but when I embed the flash into a html page then upload all the materials (html, main swf, flv video and skin swf) the video plays but the playback controls are missing.

I've followed the tutorial [URL] What I would need to do to the Action Script (below) in order to have it so the volume (slider) is set to max when loaded. So the music starts loud instead of muted.

I have a video chat application where there can be 6 participants. What I would like to do is give the option to each publisher to control their own stream's volume. The code I have looks like this.

A possible solution can be this : Calibrate the slider and set the microphone gain, a gain of zero effectively is mute and a gain of 100 is full volume.

i got a swf, which i've dynamically loaded into an mc called pitch_mc . After loading it want flash to stop the file from automatically playing, then have play and stop buttons that trigger the movie.
I can load movies fine, but i havent used transport buttons yet :S

I have another movie that loads called "scene-3.swf that holds a small gallery of movies". is there any way to make "scene-1.swf" auto-mute or turn down the volume of "juke.swf" when it loads, Then auto turn it back up after I click to another movie?

I have a flash document with 5 keyframes, each of these has a 'Label', which I then reference in actionscript like so:

That all works fine, and I'm happy with that. Now, at the third 'Label' I have some text on a blackboard with left and right arrows at the bottom, so i changed the blackboard to a movieclip, went into the timeline of the blackboard's movie clip and added this AS:

I want a movieclip in my swf file that will float a given number a pixels from the left side of my browser window. I have made my swf file trasparent and things outside of my stage show up and so far I have an actionscript code that will only use my stage size and I want the browser window size to control it.
