I have read all threads and can not find a solution but i am not somebody with a lots of knowledge about actionscript so here is my problem i am using this script .

the problem is that when i click on the first button loads ok but when click on second still showing the first movie clip in the back ,,,,, i have try everything without luck ,,,, i guess i need to keep reading but will like to find an answer to this situation ,

I have my main swf and another swf in "/tools/FrameJumper.swf" In my main swf I have a movieclip container on the stage "myContainer" and when I click a button it loads that "FrameJumper.swf" into that container. Now in that "FrameJumper.swf" I have a txt box and a button. here is the code on that button

I have a flash project where I want when i click on a link it open in a movie clip.the movie clip is call mccontainer but i try doing parent.mccontainer but that did work.I am using CS4 the only document i found that was near to what i what to do is this but i try this but nothing is it different in CS4.so basically i want to click on a link that go to www.google.com but it doesn't open a new windows it load into a movie clip.

Can I make it so that when I click on those movie clips it dosen't draw?! Also, is there anyway to bring forward the bubbles so that they are always in front of the drawings?
View 1 RepliesI just tested out my site in Firefox and IE. Everything works the way I want it to in Firefox but in IE I'm having trouble. When I click on a button my preloader shows up but doesn't stop to load the content, it plays straight through and then my movie pops up. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I've never encountered this problem before.

I have a movie clip (a) with a button that will load movie clip (b) when clicked. It loads (b) on top of (a) which is exactly what i want.
Now the problem. I have a button in (b) that I want to use to close (or unload) (b).

I'm trying to make a flash website that has clickable buttons that will play different movie clips. But I dont know how to make it to just play the movie clip with the button you click without playing all the movie clips on the main timeline.

View 2 RepliesI created a button symbol on the bottom layer, then added action script code in the first frame on the top layer. Clicked 'test movie' so that I could click the button to generate the code:

The movie won't test. How would I fix this to work.
This code that's attached to the current file works fine when you have it just in the time line. but when i put them into external files they dont work.
The problem is when you click the green box, it loads the "book" fine, when you click the "x" button it doesn't unload i am unsure how to fix this.

I have an ordinary button and I have a little movie of an axe crashing down on the button when it is released. Once released what I want it to do is FINISH the axe chopping down THEN start the specified scene. the problem? the movie of the axe doesn't complete before the selected scene starts.

I have a Flash movie to be displayed in fullscreen on a kiosk. Also, It needs to run in a browser window because I'm using JavaScript to reload the page for resetting the movie.
The problem is, it doesn't go fullscreen when I put the following line to the constructor:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
But it works fine if I put the line to a button's click handler.
Note: It doesn't work if just call the handler function with a null parameter.
How can I make it fullscreen as soon as it opens?
Maybe it is a silly question but I have problems when I put a button inside a movie in Flash 5. It doesn't work and I don't know why...

I've got 5 layers:Background, title, menu, main contents, Actions.I have an empty movieclip that I call "contents-main". And it is placed in the proper location.On Frame 1 of the Actions panel, I have loadMovie("760-250-main.swf", "contents-main"); This works fine and loads the movie into the empty clip.On the menu layer, I have a button. What I want to do is click on that button and havea different movie load into the movieclip called "contents-main". I have tried everything on the tutorials that I can find and nothing will work.I also tried putting different variations and also putting the unloadMovie before loadMovie statement.

I am working on an interactive map. When you roll over a dot on the map a slide moves into view. I've got this working great but when I add script for the roll out the whole movie just repeats over and over and the button doesn't work at all. I've pasted my code below.

The issue I'm having is that, even though the button is in frame 1, the button doesn't react to the mouse for some seconds into the movie. I simply want to have a movie (box1) to play when a button (btn1) is clicked.
NOTE: The button is within a movie clip (bulb1) which is within another movie clip (trees).

Actionscript 3 ---- Looking to have a movie clip and 2 buttons. Click the right button to make the movie clip go to the right, left button to make it go left (play backwards in the timeline) Currently the movie clip is set up as a 90 frame animation that moves across the stage on a motion tween. The right button just makes the movie clip play, so I'm looking to make my left button play that timeline in reverse. I've found lots of examples for AS2 online, but none for AS3......

View 4 RepliesI'm currently working on a treasure hunting flash game where the player clicks on a part of the screen and their shovel (cursor) digs a hole on that area. We're using a grid to determine what areas of the screen are clickable, so I created this by making a grid of buttons. However, I'm only vaguely experienced with AS2, and have never touched AS3 until now.
Basically, I need it so when the user clicks one of the buttons (each is named in a separate instance, a1, a2, b7 and so on) it swaps out and is replaced with a graphic of a hole I created as a movie clip.
I am a novice and have just completed my first animated movie. The movie is currently looped and I have created and invisible button the size of the frame with the intention that a user can click on the movie image to stop it and on second click continue the movie from where it stopped. I have used the AS event handler method to stop the movie. I have tested it and it works. But I cannot figure suitable code to restart the movie.
Two questions;
1. Am I going about the task the right way? (should I use two buttons, one stop, one start)?
2. If my approach is feasible, can anyone give me the correct AS to re-start the movie and put me out of my misery please?

I working on the timeline and have some Actionscript 3 code (I have a actions layer on the timeline). I am not sure what the code is for clicking on a button(I made the buttons movie clips since I wanted to animate it) and it plays a movie clip.
