ActionScript 2.0 :: Putting Together A Spectrum Slider?

what's the best route to putting together a spectrum slider? Component? (for purchase even, must be re-skinable) Tutorial FLA? Tween Extension Mod? I'm wondering what the best process of approach is. Algorithmic or sampling.
when it comes with actionscript. So far, I dragged a MoveClip which i called "ledLight" to the stage multiple of times which resemble (you guessed it) an LED light displaying the words "EMOTION". in giving a Movie Clip that displays a slow flow of spectrum colors. The problem I have is I have no clue how to do that!
Does anyone know the math to create this type of spectrum?
I'm using the F8 bitmap object and this image for a color preferences panel, and would like to use the same image for a fall-back to F7.
For F8, I'm using getPixel(), for F7 I'll need to determine the color (or as close an approximation as possible) using the math used to create this type spectrum.
Came across this great code for a simple mp3 player with audio spectrum on another site.Works and looks great.Thing is, I have multiple players .swf on a single .html page. When one mp3 is playing all the other player's audio spectrums are triggered as well. Having a hard time figuring out how to trigger only the spectrum for the mp3 being played.
I am trying to make a sound spectrum that uses a circle.I have finished the easy part and am trying to add a blur filter to it.I followed a tutorial, except only the bottom right quarter of the circle will blur.I've tried messing with it but I've gotten no luck.Here's the code.

I have made a MP3 Player in which spectrum bars acts on Sound.. I used computeSpectrum function from SoundMixer Class. Everything is going well.... But when I run my player and open any other player (from You tube for example) in the same window then Spectrum bars stops responding. I want my players Spectrum bars should not be interrupted even if other player is opened in same browser window,.... is it possible ??
i've come across this ActionScript sample, which demonstrates drawing of the color spectrum, one line at a time via a loop, using waveforms.however, the waveform location of each RGB channel create a color spectrum that is missing colors (pure yellow, cyan and magenta) and therefore the spectrum is incomplete.how can i remedy this problem so that the drawn color spectrum will exhibit all colors?

I looking into become a sound programmer. As I could find some sound analyzer would display a nice spectrum of color on bitmap. Which API do I draw a dot shape? Is it circle or line? Is it possible to resize the bitmap width and height after adding all the dots?
I know the SoundMixer.computeSpectrum and Sound.extract() methods , but those methods deal with the total sound output. Instead, is there a way to deal with every single SoundChannel, so as to provide a graphical visualization of each of them?
how to make an spectrum analyzer in flash and explain it piece to piece cause i found an explanation but it was kind of super hard to understand, so please help.
What I have is a map that you can click on points and it will zoom in, you can also click on a "plus/minus" buttons to zoom in and out (I even have the mouse wheel zooming in and out). The client wanted me to add a "zoom slider bar" to it so you know you could move it up and down to scale it. Everything is working except the slider, I can't seem to get it to work with the position of the slider. All of the zoom functionality is there but the slider is killing me.
I am putting up the fla file since there is a lot of code in there and I didn't want to put it all in the forum. if you look in the fla in frame ten on line 726 you can find the function that is supposed to handle the zooming when you move the slider. Up on line 74 you can find the slider onPress and onRelease functions, but those I believe should be fine.
Just wanted to ask, is it at all possible to create sound spectrum from the data that RTMP server streamed? I read this computeSpectrum and it says "In addition, this method cannot be used to extract data from RTMP streams, even when it is called by content that reside in the same domain as the RTMP server." I will not be using FMS so it stays inpossible. Are there any available hacks with php and the server or whatever?

I'm looking for a way to smoothly cycle through the color spectrum in an infinite loop, but I can't find any topics on the subject and don't really know where to start. I'd also like to be able to control how fast it cycles. I'm guessing I'd probably want to look into Tweener?

I am trying to create a basic timeline, similar to the timeline we all use in flash (see attached).
I have a playhead slider, which when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I also have horizontal window scroller which also when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I am trying to work out how to get the horizontal window scroller to scroll when the playhead slider hits the left or right edge. I am using hittest for this collision.
I have the playHeadSlider scrolling along the top. When playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing I want mcContents to then move.
It kind of works.. mcContents moves when the playHeadSlider is in collision with the hittestThing.. but it just moves rather than 'drags' across. I have it set up so that mcContents is twice the width (approx) of mcScrollWindow.
I need to somehow update what I have so that if the playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing on the right, mcContents only moves to the right and if playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing2 on the left, mcContents only moves to the left.
How can i draw sound spectrum inside a display container other than stage?I tried to display it inside the rectangle movieclip but end up in failure.[code]...
It has around 7 different movie clips in the library. I was originally going to put one clip per frame in the master timeline and have some sort of pause sequence to play them one after another. What I ultimately want to accomplish is to have these clips play one after the other without having to click any buttons, so basically straight through.
I've recently made a website for a friend and she wants a video to play on one of the frames. It is in the library and the video plays when i test the movie on my laptop, however, I have now uploaded the .swf file website to a host along with the video and it isn't playing. Any ideas how to sort this out? Not completely sure myself! Using Flash CS4 with Actionscript 2.0 if that makes any difference to anything.
I'm making a presentation in Flash that needs to be put on a DVD, which we will given to people in my organization to view at home. The presentation will not contain any interactivity. It will have text, music, video, and narration.
The videos will be short and contain sound, should I embed them in the fla file? I planned to break the presentation into scenes to make it easier to manage, and so they'll just play one after another. My computer can burn DVDs, so I was just going to export the swf to DVDS.
Assume the main time line is A. On A I've got movie clip Z also On A . I've got movie clip B and inside B I've got a movie clip C (I need it to be this way because it soft of a TAB meanu).My problem is the actionscript written in C makes few objects called planet 1, planet 2, planet 3 on A function well. But when I move planet 1, planet 2, planet 3 to a movie clip (planets_mc) it won't function! How can I put planet 1,2 and 3 in to one mc and still make the actionscript in C work?I've used the _root. command in the script C. Hope my question is clear enough!

I believe it has something to do with the array, considering it works when I remove the array stuff. What i'm trying to do is to be able to move objects through an array with my gravitate() function in the Grav Class.

I have a simple graphic in Scene One which when you mouse over it, it changes to Scene Two where there are several round buttons that people can navigate with. What I want is that when the mouse is dragged away from the stage where the buttons are in Scene Two, you are taken back to Scene one. I can't seem to work this out. I only to want to go back to Scene One when the mouse is completely out of the SWF.
I made another button and made a square hit point that covers the stage and put that on the level above the other round button levels but this then doesn't allow you to activate and click the buttons underneath the square button. I just want a rollOut when the mouse comes completely off the SWF back to Scene One. Am I missing something?
I bought this template, and am trying to make some of the pictures when clicked have hyperlinks that go to other websites, i am turnong the picture into a button and adding this code in the action script [code]
