I have one banner in flash, and i want make this replay on finish action. I try whit loop in html, i try gotoAndPlay(2) but don't worrk. This is code on actions script:

Frame 1 has an flv that it plays once and stops, here's the actions I have on that frame:stop();stopAllSounds();What would I add to make the flv loop or replay when it finishes? (I have buttons and more flv's on other frames, so I want to have this stop on frame 1 unless someone clicks a button to go to another frame.)

View 4 RepliesI have bought Learning AS 3.0 (O'Reilly) but I have been having difficulty getting one of the tutorials to run. The tutorial shows how to record data from a microphone to a byte array, playback the saved data and save as a WAV file. For some reason, I can't get this working. When the swf runs, the Flash Settings screen doesn't pop up to request permission to access the microphone but I can still trace properties such as gain.
I've uploaded a zip containing all the classes and an FLA - just use RecordMicrophone_Example.as file as the document class. Here is the problematic area of the code:

View 7 RepliesI develop failover fms application with server-side action script. But i have a problem that FMS can't continue to record stream with record mode "append".
Environment: FMS 4.5.1 r484 on CentOS 5.5/6.0
Goals:
I have 2 same data streams in failover application and republish primary to livepkgr application.
I have to store of last 10 hours intact recorded video (DVR).
Failover app logic:
1. I create NetConnection and NetStream to livepackager;
2. When primary stream is connected it attach the primary stream to livePackager NetStream
3. If primary stream is disconnected it reattach the backup stream to livePackager NetStream
Problem: I have testing environment. It stop primary stream every 5 min, and started primary stream 5 min after stopping.
It work's, fine, but after a few hours testing LIVEPACKAGER falls. It can't record a stream, NetStream.Record.Start -> NetStream.Record.NoAccess -> NetStream.Record.Stop
Search a solution: I try to relaunch recording process and have no success. try to shutdown/start livepackager, it's same, try to restart server, same no success.
I cant stream.clear() or record with mode "record" cause it clears my dvr cache, I cant clean stream directory in livepackager application.

If I have several items that move across the screen but the user can click any of them at any time, how do I record the current position of any of the items item in order to use that data to change the position of the item after the user clicks?
This is what I am doing: I have 11 images that slide accross the screen. The user can click any of them at any time. When he clicks one I am scaling the image so it looks like it is comming forward (z axis) and then the rest of the images are scaled down so it looks like they are going back on z axis. So what I am trying to do is get the current position of the image when the user clicks the image so that I can use that to correctly estimate the scaling and moving of the image to make it look like it scales from the center and not from the top left corner. So if have a variable that gets the current position of the image being clicked I'm thinking I can change its position using something like: x = currentposition + -45;

If I wanted to change an action from a button click to a frame-based action, what do I use instead of onPress? The hints from the AS editor are all click-based.
I have a slideshow that is looped ... it contains 5 slides.I am using a gotoandPlay action to control the slide show.

There is a fade transition between slides.When a button is released ... I want to gotoandPlay (frame 98) ... and then have it stop 10 frames later on (frame 108). Frame 98 includes the transition ... if I just gotoandStop on frame 108 ... I loose the transition.Is there any way to incorporate a stop action, after a gotoandPlay action on my button ... without naming instances etc.I.E.

I just want to make a simple button action using actionscript 2 but I can't get it to work! I'm sorry for even asking but I've been at this for too long now for it to not work I'm using Adobe Flash CS4 and I do the following --
File -> New Flash File (ActionScript 2.0)
Insert -> New Symbol
Name - test
Type - button
Export for ActionScript
Identifier - test
And then draw it in using the keyframes and add the code to 'Actions - Button' for my button

How can I get an action to follow another action when a button is clicked? When a button is clicked, I want the timeline to go to a certain frame and play and when it's done playing, to go to another frame and play. I basically want two actions in one function.

I am using code from a tutorial that I downloaded to get an Home.swf to preload in my "index" page.the problem is that a part of the code reads

which means that I have to create a button to get the .swf file to load, how do I edit this code so that the action begins on it's own at that frame?
I have a .swf banner embeded on my xhtml and I need it to replay after 20 seconds so if the user is still watching that page he will see the animation again. It needs to be a loop or something so the animation will play again 20 seconds after finished over and over again.

View 7 RepliesI have created a linear flash file to show the steps of a user flow.
This uses a single 'next' button which navigates through the flow and at the final screen navigates back to the first screen to allow the user to view the file again.
However it sticks at screen1 and will not progress.
I have addressed the following points suggested by someone else,
1. make sure your button listener code is on the first keyframe that contains your button.
2. your button should be on its own layer
3. that layer should extend to length of your timeline
4. there should be no keyframe in your button's layer OTHER than the first keyframe. ie, there's only one keyframe containing your button and your button exists throughout your timeline.
I have inserted my replay button into my flash movie and it works.
The problem is when I replay my movie some aspects of my animation do not work in the replay.
I believe this is because I have other timelines for movement e.g birds wings.
How do i implement code so that the entire movie will replay?
i have let's say 7 frames inside MC and every frame has another MC looping in stop button i have this AS, what it does is to w8 for every MC to finish the 221 frames and then move to next frame. (if i press the next_btn)otherwise it will loop in the same frame but if it goes to last frame (in this example frame 7) the fuction is disabled, i would like to loop again from frame 1. if it would be random is even better) if manually at frame7 add the "gotoframe (1)" it does the trick but without the fuction,it stays there with the next_btn disabled and i cannot press it i want to start the code again i tried to modify it but i'm a little confused take a look at the code...

I have a gallery of sorts and some images have a button that loads an external swf in a 3d tilting window. The problem that Im experiencing is that one of the external swfs does not replay upon pressing the button again--It loads but does not play--it was written in as2 and has some _global variables set. I was thinking that if I unloaded the the loader content and removed the loader from the display list that when it reloaded it would play again but it doesnt--This is the code Im using to unload and remove the child:
