ActionScript 3.0 :: Auto-run/swf File To Quit When Video Done Playing?

Oct 18, 2011

I have this problem, I'm creating an autorun cd content that it will autorun by itself when the the cd is inserted into the drive....The external video ( link using FLVplayback component) is suppose to play at the beginning and close by itself when when done

I have a skip button that will quit when the user click on it using:
fscommand("quit");

My main concern now is how do I ask action script to close by itself when the video is done playing?

brand new to cs4. Created a short swf file with video clip, playback component under the clip, and small gray box around it. Plays fine locally. Copy swf, html, f4v to server and the gray box shows up and the player component shows up, but no video plays. Just have s white/green striped image running where the time indicator in the playback component shows up. Have earlier version of Flash running on server fine (created through 3rd-party). Professional :: Video File (flv) Not Playing After Uploading To Server?

Apr 12, 2010

I did a bit of search without success to find if anything like this was answered before.Sorry for asking a silly question, I am a newbie and hence maybe missing something obvious.I used the Encoder to create the flv file and embedded the file in the timeline and the swf file plays the video just fine locally. For some reason, it's not playing after I uploaded it to the server. I did copy over all the files (swf)s) & flv). It's a very small video and I can't even see the video(just blank) while running the swf file after uploading the files on to the server. All other frames are working as expected.

my purpose is to have some events going on in the SWF movie then it immediately switches to playing a video but it has to be very synchronised. I dont want to play the video and have the person waiting ont he video to load.. I want to load the video in the background beforehand... then when it's time for the video sequence I send the commands to play it and everything is good to go.

ActionScript 2.0 :: MP3 Player - How To Prevent Auto Playing

Feb 19, 2010

So I did the tutorial and it works fantastically. However I don't want it to auto start and obviously it does, I thought if I took out playSong(); it would cease the autoplay but that doesn't work, and I took out playSong();} and that made the whole thing stop working, so what I'm wondering is how do I keep the mp3 player from auto playing, and also the variables in the tutorial were url, artist & track. What would be the proper procedure to add a 4th variable ?

Code:
Select all// Setup sound object
var s:Sound = new Sound();
s.onSoundComplete = playSong;
s.setVolume(75);
// Array of songs
var sa:Array = new Array();
// Currently playing song
var cps:Number = -1;

ActionScript 3.0 :: Playing Sound (MP3 Or WAV Format) Auto Silence Added?

Apr 3, 2010

When using sound in flash you can also do this with loading an external sound.
my sound.load(new URLRequest("audio/mysound.wav"));
But when you load an .mp3 file the effect of the sounds keeps playing too late. So I discovered that when you save a audio file to mp3 format there is automatically with any sound editor an insert of 1/2 to 1 second of silence. So i read on the web that this does not happen when you save it to .wav formatBut when saving it to wav format i don't hear the sound in flash anymore, only when i save the wav file, with a compression of MPG,but then there is also silence added automatically. What compression technique you should use when saving it to wav format?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Multi Video Player - Audio From The Last Video Remains Playing Even When Prompted To Stop??

Jun 2, 2010

I built a timeline based player with 2 menus and many videos that you can play.The buttons move the timeline to a frame label and the video plays. The back button has a stop function built in it so the video stops playing when its hit.It plays wonderfully locally but once on a server after a few clicks it boggs down and sometimes the audio from the last video remains playing even when prompted to stop. I was pointed to use the add and remove child functions to prevent this but being very new to Flash and 100% self taught i have zero idea on how to do this. The link to the player is[url]....Even if its a link to a tutorial or something.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Detect When A Playing Audio File Has Reached The End (stops Playing)?

Aug 31, 2009

I have some animation (programmatic, I'm NOT using keyframed animation in timeline), and some music I want to play in the background. Once the music file reaches the end (about 30 seconds long), I want to trigger the end of the animation functions.I figure I could either use an actionscript timer to trigger the end of the animation or a keyframe with actionscript that is placed on the timeline near the end of the song but these methods assume knowledge about the duration of the wave file. If I changed the framerate or updated the external wave file, these triggers would possibly no longer sync upIs there some sort of event listener or other detection method for an audio file to signal it has finished playing? Or maybe there is a way to get the duration of the audio file to use in the timer

ActionScript 2.0 :: Put Together A Class For Playing Video Using The Video Object?

Aug 23, 2008

I am trying to put together a class for playing video using the Video object. So far, I have only been successful in getting the Video object to fully work when not using a class setup. In the documentation, I have read that to use the Video object you have to actually drag/create the video object onto the stage. So, in my next attempt, I created the video object onto the stage within a MovieClip but still trying to use a class/linkage setup with the Video inside inside of a MovieClip container. No luck there either. Here is the basic AS2 script that is linked to a MovieClip that contains the Video object ("video" instance) within it.

Code:
class VideoTest {
private var nc:NetConnection;
private var ns:NetStream;

[code].....

I am getting the following error with this script.

Code:
Line 14: There is no property with the name 'video'.
Line 15: There is no method with the name 'video'.

Create Auto-redirect At End Of Flash Video

Jun 9, 2009

Am trying to see if anyone has any links or resources where I can learn to setup a flash video file where it automatically redirects to another URL such as a sales page at the conclusion of the video. I also would like to find out how to have a link/overlay at the end of the video where a viewer can click to go to another URL such as a sales page.

I am not a prgrammer by profession but do work in Flash and I am willing to try this given the right learning resources. Not sure if both or either of these tasks is done in the flash file or in some type of java script on the html page. I have seen this done by this company [URL] but you have to subscribe to their service using their control panel and they limit the number of players you can create.

I have Flash 8, Flash CS3 and Flash CS4 if needed for this project.

Flash Auto-launch A Website After Video Finishes?

Jan 7, 2009

I have a windows media video which I have converted to flash video, that I would like to have users play through on my webpage - and then after the video is completed, it would open another webpage automatically in a new window.

After looking through the web I can't find a way to do this, but it seems like it would be something that could be done. I have converted my windows video to flash format, embedded it on my stage and am ready to add action script. I know how to make the video a
button so that users would click on the video and then it would open a page, but I was hoping there would be a way that it could do
this automatically.

Flash :: Slide Presentation - Auto-starting Flv Video

May 3, 2009

I'm trying out Flash CS4, and am using it to create a slide presentation. as I feel stuck at the moment. Here's what I need: An intro slide to act as a "front cover", giving the user of the presentation a chance to load it up before initiating the following content. The next slide to contain a video, which starts playing as soon as the slide is loaded. Also on this slide, a few pieces of text need to appear at certain times as defined by me.

Here's what I have so far: A blank 'slide1', ready for my content. Presenter presses the right arrow and it proceeds onto slide 2. A 'slide2', which has my flv video clip placed on it with optional play controls. So I need to know how to start the flv player automatically when slide 2 is opened. I think I need to place some ActionScript on frame 1 of slide2, but I don't know what. If I set the video to 'autoPlay' in the component inspector, it starts as soon as the swf presentation is opened, which is not what I want - it should only auto play when it's own slide is navigated to.

Professional :: Auto-play Video Start At Specified Point?

Feb 26, 2010

Basically the code below has been designed so that a video starts at 52 seconds (rather than the beginning) when you press play. It works good right now, starts where it's supposed to, but I want to change the code so that it autoplays the video starting at 52 seconds. The problem with this though, is that when I try and set it for autoplay, the video starts at the beginning and doesn't wait for it to load to 52 seconds before it autoplays. Any input on the coding? I need it just so that the autoplay doesn't kick in until the video is loaded to the 52 second point

import fl.video.MetadataEvent;import fl.video.VideoProgressEvent;
import fl.video.*;
my_FLVPlybk.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, rewind);function
