Jul 29, 2010I have made a website in ASP.NET 3.5 With C#.In the default page we have a swf player. We have one video file. The file format is .mp4.

The problem is that when i try to run this code on my local it runs but when I put the same code in clients Windows 7 server it says "video not found or access denied:
../images/vtwsub.mp4.
I have provided the full access of WWWROOT folder in the server but problem remains constant.

Jul 30, 2010Just put our new site live, and having trouble with one of the swf files playing. Using the colorbox jquery plugin throughout the site and this works fine. However a movie on [URL] (qcf engine movie) gives out a repeated javascript 'Access is denied' error everytime you close the colorbox?? Perhaps because the swf file is hosted on amazon s3, although other movies are playing fine from S3,

Professional :: Playing An External Video File And Upon Video Being Played, Move Onto Next Frame?
Dec 16, 2011I suppose the title says it all. I can load an external video file (FLV) and I can have it play. I also have the custom buttons made to control the clip. The only thing I have left to do is to have the main timeline move onto frame 2 once the external video reaches its end. I am using actionscript 3 and flash cs 5.5.

As soon as we enter our FMS license key we get this error: "application is not a valid signed application loading access denied".We removed the license key and it works again, but with user limits obviously, so this is not an acceptable fix.

Jul 26, 2010I've had FMS running on my local machine for a while and have had a little experience writing FMS apps, but I've just tried recording audio for the first time using the standard vod application and I keep getting a "Write access denied for stream" error. My AS3 code is copied and pasted for various examples and am confident that it works.
I'm running Windows XP service pack 3 & FMIS 3.5.
I've had a look at the vod/media directory and under windows->properties the read-only attribute is ticked. Every time I un-tick this it reverts back to being ticked. I've googled this and MS say that most programs ignore the read-only attribute and that it only really applied to files. I've also tried the MS fix for setting the read-only attribute via cmd and still no joy (doesn't fix read-only attribute or FMS recording the audio after setting via cmd).
I've also tried our dev server install of FMS (running under linux) and am getting the same results.

Media Server :: FMIS 3.5 Unable To Access Any Of Video Content / Getting Server Not Found Error
Jun 11, 2010Some users are unable to access any of our video content, getting a Server Not Found error.We have our FMS configured to use ports 1935, 433, 80. Our firewall is allowing RTMP traffic to each of these ports. Is there something more I can do from my end to make sure users can access our FMS?

May 21, 2009brand new to cs4. Created a short swf file with video clip, playback component under the clip, and small gray box around it. Plays fine locally. Copy swf, html, f4v to server and the gray box shows up and the player component shows up, but no video plays. Just have s white/green striped image running where the time indicator in the playback component shows up. Have earlier version of Flash running on server fine (created through 3rd-party). Apr 12, 2010I did a bit of search without success to find if anything like this was answered before.Sorry for asking a silly question, I am a newbie and hence maybe missing something obvious.I used the Encoder to create the flv file and embedded the file in the timeline and the swf file plays the video just fine locally. For some reason, it's not playing after I uploaded it to the server. I did copy over all the files (swf)s) & flv). It's a very small video and I can't even see the video(just blank) while running the swf file after uploading the files on to the server. All other frames are working as expected.

Mar 9, 2011I want to play an f4v file in flash, however when I play it I want it to already be loaded and buffered before I send the commands to play it.
my purpose is to have some events going on in the SWF movie then it immediately switches to playing a video but it has to be very synchronised. I dont want to play the video and have the person waiting ont he video to load.. I want to load the video in the background beforehand... then when it's time for the video sequence I send the commands to play it and everything is good to go.

Jun 2, 2010I built a timeline based player with 2 menus and many videos that you can play.The buttons move the timeline to a frame label and the video plays. The back button has a stop function built in it so the video stops playing when its hit.It plays wonderfully locally but once on a server after a few clicks it boggs down and sometimes the audio from the last video remains playing even when prompted to stop. I was pointed to use the add and remove child functions to prevent this but being very new to Flash and 100% self taught i have zero idea on how to do this. Aug 31, 2009I have some animation (programmatic, I'm NOT using keyframed animation in timeline), and some music I want to play in the background. Once the music file reaches the end (about 30 seconds long), I want to trigger the end of the animation functions.I figure I could either use an actionscript timer to trigger the end of the animation or a keyframe with actionscript that is placed on the timeline near the end of the song but these methods assume knowledge about the duration of the wave file. If I changed the framerate or updated the external wave file, these triggers would possibly no longer sync upIs there some sort of event listener or other detection method for an audio file to signal it has finished playing? Or maybe there is a way to get the duration of the audio file to use in the timer

ActionScript 2.0 :: Put Together A Class For Playing Video Using The Video Object?
Aug 23, 2008I am trying to put together a class for playing video using the Video object. So far, I have only been successful in getting the Video object to fully work when not using a class setup. In the documentation, I have read that to use the Video object you have to actually drag/create the video object onto the stage. So, in my next attempt, I created the video object onto the stage within a MovieClip but still trying to use a class/linkage setup with the Video inside inside of a MovieClip container. No luck there either. Here is the basic AS2 script that is linked to a MovieClip that contains the Video object ("video" instance) within it.

Jan 22, 2010I have a child SWF file that has the Camera functionality. It works fine if I run the child SWF by itself.
However, when I load the child SWF into a parent SWF, the Camera functionality does not work. Doing some tracing it says that Camera access is denied. That happens without me even clicking on the deny button and in fact the usual security popup does not even show up.

Flex :: Definition Could Not Be Found Error Compiling ClassReference In CSS File To Swf File?
Feb 17, 2010I am compiling my css files to swf files and loading them at run time. I have no problem compiling these and using ClassReference statements most of the time:

Does not work. The difference is that the HeaderBackground is a class in the same project as the css file. That does compiel fine if I move the style into my mxml file though.
I wonder if the compiler uses different source paths when compiling the css fiels or something. This is in FlashBuilder 4 build 269271 SDK 13963

Apr 23, 2009I'm trying to read bmp fille byte by byte and then redraw it. For that I made a .fla file for veiwing and .as file for coding. I just started coding and made import to the follwing files in this scenario and I get errors while debugging.

Aug 10, 2011File A has a MovieClip on stage that has a linkage to a class in which I import fl.video.FLVPlayback File B also attempts to import fl.video.FLVPlayback.
File B throws a COMPILE TIME error that it cannot locate the definition for fl.video.FLVPlayback. I'm noticing that my FlashDevelop also offers no syntax highlighting for that line.
Both are exporting for the same version of FlashPlayer (10). Both are being authored on the same platform, the same software (CS4).I have not messed with any Publish settings, other than that File B is associated with a Document Class.
Of interest may be that File A will eventually be loaded into File B, into the context of File B.

Aug 31, 2011In the cosmicpanda update for youtube, you can go from a video page to the video creators profile page while your video is still playing in flash. Does anyone how Youtube accomplishes this? I would like to know if it's possible to keep the flash state of a site constant while moving from page to page on a site.It doesn't seem as if the flash is reloading, so I don't think that they are just saving cookies for the current video time and starting the video at that point when they refresh.I would assume that they're using ajax, but the application of this feature is really clean. The URL gets correctly changed to the users' profile page's URL. The back button still works as it should. (I can press back and forward between video page and user profile page and the video continues going clean and never drops.)
