JavaScript :: Colorbox Playing SWF Files - Access Denied
Jul 30, 2010
Just put our new site live, and having trouble with one of the swf files playing. Using the colorbox jquery plugin throughout the site and this works fine. However a movie on [URL] (qcf engine movie) gives out a repeated javascript 'Access is denied' error everytime you close the colorbox?? Perhaps because the swf file is hosted on amazon s3, although other movies are playing fine from S3,
Example: [URL]
And the error: [URL]
I have a swf that opens up inside a colorbox window. When the video finishes playing, I make an externalinterface call to a javascript function to close the colorbox.I'm trying to execute the following AS3 code:
I can't seem to get this to work. The colorbox won't close.I also tried this to see if I was just making the wrong function call, but this didn't work either: ExternalInterface.call ('alert("hello world")')However, if I browse to the url of the swf file, so that it doesn't open inside the colorbox, the alert() call works just fine.
I have made a website in ASP.NET 3.5 With C#.In the default page we have a swf player. We have one video file. The file format is .mp4.
The Code is here:- type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="player2" name="player2" src="images/player.swf" width="350" height="280" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=../images/vtwsub.mp4" />
The problem is that when i try to run this code on my local it runs but when I put the same code in clients Windows 7 server it says "video not found or access denied: ../images/vtwsub.mp4. I have provided the full access of WWWROOT folder in the server but problem remains constant.
I had a somewhat weird setup for a site here, which goes as follows: Server A holds a SWF Server B holds a HTML document with the SWF Embedded, along with SwfAddress.js I can't seem to get any Flash-to-javascript to work here through External Interface calls. SwfAddress fails and I see this error in Firebugs Console: "Error calling method on NPObject!" This also occurs with another JS function I'm trying to call with the MouseWheel. I've set up my crossdomains and deployed all Security.allowDomain("")'s where applicable. Has anyone embedded an external SWF and had issues with AS-JS communication before??
We have an application that works no problems on our server with FMS in test mode. As soon as we enter our FMS license key we get this error: "application is not a valid signed application loading access denied".We removed the license key and it works again, but with user limits obviously, so this is not an acceptable fix.
I've had FMS running on my local machine for a while and have had a little experience writing FMS apps, but I've just tried recording audio for the first time using the standard vod application and I keep getting a "Write access denied for stream" error. My AS3 code is copied and pasted for various examples and am confident that it works.
I'm running Windows XP service pack 3 & FMIS 3.5.
I've had a look at the vod/media directory and under windows->properties the read-only attribute is ticked. Every time I un-tick this it reverts back to being ticked. I've googled this and MS say that most programs ignore the read-only attribute and that it only really applied to files. I've also tried the MS fix for setting the read-only attribute via cmd and still no joy (doesn't fix read-only attribute or FMS recording the audio after setting via cmd).
I've also tried our dev server install of FMS (running under linux) and am getting the same results.
Here's my AS3 code...
private function initApp(event:Event):void { removeEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE,initApp);
I have the following class, I want to do what is in the comments.I know I can do it with conditionals.I'd like to know if there is a way of doing that dinamicaly. This code is in AS3, but I know maybe this is related to javascript because AS3 is based on ECMAScript
public class ClientStatus { public static const INVITED:int = 0;[code].....
I am using jQuery's colorbox to open up an iframe on a page. On the page there are two flash SWFs. When I click the button that opens the colorbox, those flash SWFs appear over the top of my colorbox div. I've checked the CSS properties of the colorbox, and the overlay has position:absolute and z-index:999. I have given the SWFs a z-index:0 property, but they still show over the top of the colorbox. This happens in Firefox, IE, and Chrome.
I'm new to flash and have created a thumb slideshow containing buttons. I want the buttons to trigger colorbox (like lightbox but displays html content as well as images). Colorbox is working fine in the containing html page when i create a normal link. Ive looked at a couple of tutorials but i keep getting errors when exporting the flash doc. I've been trying this
I am using ColorBox over a Flash file which works just fine in all browsers on all platforms except for an annoying behaviour in Firefox on Vista. On calling ColorBox it pops up and displays the loading graphic fine, but once the content has loaded the ColorBox window resizes and then stalls for up to 10 seconds before showing the content, see screen grab. It shows the ColorBox window in a state before and after it has been resized at the same time for up to 10 seconds and then displays the content.
However, I did notice when trying to screen grab this behaviour that hitting Print Screen seemed to force the content to show. I could not get ColorBox to remain in this state after hitting the Print Screen button on my keyboard.
I have a child SWF file that has the Camera functionality. It works fine if I run the child SWF by itself.
However, when I load the child SWF into a parent SWF, the Camera functionality does not work. Doing some tracing it says that Camera access is denied. That happens without me even clicking on the deny button and in fact the usual security popup does not even show up.
My flash movie loads config.xml from the file system. Inside config.xml are urls and the base url to other xml files that I wish to load in to the flash movie.
These urls in config.xml are requested by the flash movie providing my flash movie with data. Again these are .xml files how ever they are being accessed using the network. EG " http domain dot com slash data dot xml"(i cant post links yet)
I know that I cant access both network and local files in the same movie so my question is this. What is the best way to pass in the base url dynamically to the flash movie so i can cut out config.xml?
I'm working on a project where a SWF will play (as sort of a splash), followed by JS. After the video plays, the navigation and content will appear, and the video will fade out. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to accomplish this? Play the video first and then load everything via ajax behind the scenes? The goal is to be as seamless as possible and I am having a flash asset provided to me by the client.
We have a website which displays status updates throughout our various facilities (they all have LCDs with a fullscreen IE page I point it to). Right now I go to my management page with a WYSIWYG-editor, type in the messages/updates, which saves it to a .txt file (alert.txt) and it updates the page on the screens via AJAX. The page on the screens checks for updates at a set interval of 5 seconds. What I want to do now is play a sound to alert when an update is given (the screen only displays critical network errors and such)[code]I've tried adding the sound clip via an embed HTML code (created a Flash object that plays it once upon loading the Flash object) to the text file, but this causes it to play once every iteration. Even if there are no changes.
There's a new feature on vkontakte.ru (I bet facebook has the same, not sure though). You browse pages while player keeps playing music at the background without interruption. How is this possible?
I'm having great problems getting Javascript to resume a flash file. The flash file loads up and the video is set to autoplay false. For some reason, any Javascript is not recognising the AS3 function. It keeps saying the function is undefined. e.g.
function getFlashMovie(movieName) { var isIE = navigator.appName.indexOf("Microsoft") != -1; return (isIE) ? window[movieName] : document[movieName];
Is there anyway to remove a section of HTML with a javascript? Ive seen ones that replace text segments, and remove certain tags like <br>. I want it to remove the flash applet once its done playing. I know that its possible, I just need someone that knows javascript better than me.
I have a video playing on my page. I want to show and hide some div's when the video reaches a certain point. Lets say hide something on 10th second and show it again on 20th second.I can easily do it in HTML5 with video tag and currentTime attribute but for IE I have to create the same functionality and I think with flash based videos (from YouTube or something like that). Is there a way to detect the current time of a video playing on my website, embeded from YouTube, Metacafe or any other video sharing site?I know I could detect it in flash and make it run some JavaScript function but I don't have flash nor have the skills to do it in AS3.
I'm working on a site, for kids, which has a small avatar in the corner that talks. The avatar is a flash file and the plan is to determine what it says through a mix of javascript and ajax.
Unfortunately when I make the flash file play an Mp3 file through JavaScript, I can't seem to stop the sound.. so when I keep clicking on a link which causes it to talk, I hear the sound repeated x times.
The odd thing is, when I attach the very same code to a button in flash, there seems to be no such limitation. It seems as if it won't store anything in global variables when calling from JavaScript.
I'm new to working with flash and have a quick question about embedding flash with the SWFObject.js file.I can successfully embed an object and play it, but what I'd like to know now is if there is a way that I can be notified when the movie is done being played without editing the flash file itself, since I have no real way to do that.
I want to play song on my website, any flash mp3 player which allows me to control play, pause, change song position (means backward/forward by certain limit), change volume options using javascript code.
I need to play WAV, MP3, MP4 and SWF files using Flash Player plug-in in Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome and Safari. Please give some suggestions on this.Is there any way to play this formats using JavaScript and HTML??I tried with and tag also but, Chrome, Firefox and Safari is required Quick Time Player to play this formats. I need to use only Flash Player.
Is it possible to play a media file which is outside the webroot using the Jquery Media Plugin. The server that we are on is windows based. The file path for example is:
I have a video that is meant to start playing when a user clicks on an image and said image opens a FancyZoom overlay. It works fine in every browser except IEs. If I place the video in a div that is not hidden (display:none actually), the video starts as expected. So it seems there is a problem with either Flash, JW Player, SWFObject or any combination of these when trying to load a video in a hidden div.[URL]..
I would like to know whether swf files can play in an FLV Player or not. If not possible, is there any option for developing an independent swf player. the technique that can be used to develop swf player.
What I want is to open start.swf, have it embed moviecontainer.swf which has a FLV playback object that loads in the movie.flv. When I check my moviecontainer.swf, it runs properly. But when I use start.swf it loads moviecontainer.swf (because I can see it has the background and all) but the movie won't play (and I think the buttons don't work anymore)
I have saved both .swfs with the "Local files only" option. I have no idea what the problem can be, as I said, I'm no Flash pro and I have no experience as to say "oh it looks like we got that xyz problem.."
