ActionScript 3.0 :: Control Multiple Video Files Simultaneously?

I have five videos playing at the same time in a .swf. They are each .flv files of the exact same length, I'm keeping them external rather than embedding the files within the Flash, and it's imperative that they each play at the exact same time so I'm avoiding using streaming.They all need to be kept at the same time code as any other of the movies at any given time. Is it possible to make a scrubber or other controls that will allow the viewer to move positions within these videos simultaneously?

Here's the issue. I have a movie with 8 different movie clips on the stage. Each one is just a simple animation with a button. When the movie runs, all the movie clips run their respective animations until they hit a stop action in the middle. The stop basically seperates the intro from the outro of each clip. Once the user clicks a button, I want all of the other movie clips to start playing again and then load the next movie, depending on which button was clicked. So the button AS, in plain english speak, would be something like this:onRelease, make movie clips a, b and c play then load movieXYZ.swf to main stage.

I have 4 live f4vs that I'm using with interactive server 3.5. Thus they are running in dvr. I'm trying to find a way to control all 4 videos so that when you go back on one video all 4 videos go back to the same time. This is very important with camera 4 as it is the only one with sound.I have tried putting all 4 videos in one swf file and I have tried putting each video as its own swf.

I have been working on a flex uploader, where the user can select multiple files.It works fine when the files are uploaded in a queue (one at a time), however as soon as I try to have it upload 2 files at once I run into issues.
It seems that files will often lock up, and either stay at 1% until every other file is uploaded, or just not complete at all. There is never more than one file uploading at a time.Is there some issue with calling .upload on multiple files at once in Flex?

I have 1 flv with only 12 seconds of audio. another flv that is 10 seconds with only video another flv that is 2 seconds with only video Lets assume both video files are as long as my audio file. Which actionscript commands should I look further into to: 1. play audio simultaneously with video 2. play the 2 second video smoothly/seamlessly after the 10 second video is over as if it were a 12 second vide 3. if my audio or video were mp3/wma instead of flv would I run into trouble 4. I imagine a flash media server would be mandatory if my videos were other formats like avi/mpg and had to encode on the fly

Is it necessary to unload Movies in Flash, or can I keep multiple movies loaded simultaneously? Are there memory requirements that make it necessary to limit the number of Flash movies loaded at one time?

I really hope someone can help me with this one! I've been trying to loop several embedded flv files in one flash document. I've found some really useful script that works when applied to one flv file in the document, however I don't really know how to adjust the actionscript so that it applies to the other three flv files on the page.[code]

I've created a movie, and have decided that I want to change the timing of one element in the middle of it. I have searched and searched but can't find any way to change not only the length of time this element stays on screen, but also all subsequent action, all of which is on different layers.
Surely I don't have to manually move each element on each layer individually? I've been trying to select multiple layers and move the frame I want, hoping that the frames on other layers would also move by the same amount - but no luck.

I was making multiple remote calls and they are done sequentially and when I am getting a result event back it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument . I am supposed to receive the result event only in the method given inthe event listener but it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument.

I have created an AIR application that makes use of Flash' build in capability of taking multi touch gestures (TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_ZOOM & TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_ROTATE)
It works fine on my Mac using the computers trackpad. It also works fine on a Windows 7 machine with a touchscreen attached.
But I can only modify one object at a time. Is that a limitation in Flash or is it possible to modify more objects at the same time and that way possible to make a multi-user multi-touch application?

I am using Flash Media server 4.5 and i read the tutorial if i want to stream the live feed, i may need to use the media live encoder.
but what i found in media encoder is i have to manually setup everything and it only support camera devices. But in my case i have multiple video files keep received from another program and place it on file system (server),my goal is use the Flash Media server to perform a live boardcasting with these video file one by one. That means when client watching a live streaming, they will not notice the server is playing mov1, then mov2, then mov3, then mov4... and so on.
You can imagine i am trying to boardcast a live footage say for 60sec, but the video file will not recorded entirely after 60sec, instead for every 10sec i will save a new video file, so that when client watching the live by HLS [URL]when the time reach to 10sec, a mov1 video file available and FMS should boardcast this video on live123.when the time reach to 20sec, a mov2 video file available and FMS should Immediately follow the mov1 boardcast on live123.and so on...Also can FMS dynamically create a new streaming session (invoke by code), so that when client A uploading some video files to the server, the FMS open a new streaming session only stream cilent A video files?the configuration to boardcasting like screen size, bit rate, etc should be pre-defined on the server. Imagine this scenario:The application is a Game, where the enemy characters can 'attack' the player, and each time they attack the 'Attack.mp3 file is played from the libraryNow my question is, if I have to create a new instance of the MP3 file in the memory, each time playing it, or can i use a 'master' Sound instance ,that I can play multiple times simultaneously.(similarly I can use one 'enemy.jpg' bitmapdata, that I can then copy to the screen with copyPixels, and only having it in the memory just once )IE if i have 50 'Enemy' characters running around the game

I'm trying to attach a single NetStream Object to two separate Video objects instead of pulling redundant streams from the server. The expected behavior would be for both Video's to display the same content. However, it seems that the last video I attach the NetStream to is the only Video that will display the content.Has anyone else run into this? I'd rather not go to the inelegant steps of using BitmapData to clone pixels if I don't have to.

Here's the setup:
-I have a music score that will be streamed in via actionscript
-I also have multiple short sounds (SFX) in multiple nested MCs
-these SFX sounds are customized using the ide edit interface, so it would be a pain to use actionscript to play each sound
What I need: To have 1 mute button for the music, and 1 mute button for the SFX, both on the root timeline.[code]...

The stop button plays as expected. The play/pause button plays as expected. The issue is when you press pause which will cause the play button to appear, then press stop. the video automatically plays and it shouldn't. I have bolded the control button script for convenience.

I am wanting to play a number of movie clips and flash produced video clips. On the main timeline I have a frame for each clip I want to play. In that frame is a flash movie that contains the video that I have embedded onto the timeline for the movie. The filesize for this project is massive and I am struggling to work on the file. I want to be able to play the video files with the playback component in each of the frames where the video was.

We have developed flash video player which needs to playe large videos (at least 500 MB videos).We have some issues in the player right now.I am playing a 100 MB + video, it start playing and say it is buffering upto 50% of that video. Then I am closing that page. If I take that video again, it starts downloading from beginning. It never resume downloading from where it buffered previous time. But for small video files, this is looking ok. Is there any size limit a video player can buffer?Is there any better way to play large videos (more than 500 MB). Any other protocol or any other settings in flash player?

I have no experience with Adobe Flash because others have done this out of house in the past. (time has come for me to learn - quickly)
I need to simply create "swf" files from a number of videos I have finished in Premiere Pro 5.5.
These videos are 800 x 600 videos that display at "point-of-sale". The spec is swf and not flv.
(I do not need to do anything else in Flash apart from create the video file with the swf extension.)

I am new to adobe forums and flash platform. I am using flash cs3 / 8 for almost a year now (timeline with some basic actionscript - AS2). What I need for my projects is a playback skin for the produced swf's. I tried captivate, but when I import the skin actions don't work any more (i tried several tactics - synchronize ... ect). Is there any other way to add a player skin with start /stop buttons and active scrubber bar (slider bar). I can easily create custom start/ stop buttons that does the job but I can figure how to make a scrubber bar that will respond to my flash project user interaction (e-learning purposes).
