I have 3 external swfs which I load into a mainmovie. I need to preload them to make sure they start at the same time. I just need a super basic preloader, but it needs to load all 3 swf and once loaded, start
Is it necessary to unload Movies in Flash, or can I keep multiple movies loaded simultaneously? Are there memory requirements that make it necessary to limit the number of Flash movies loaded at one time?
I really hope someone can help me with this one! I've been trying to loop several embedded flv files in one flash document. I've found some really useful script that works when applied to one flv file in the document, however I don't really know how to adjust the actionscript so that it applies to the other three flv files on the page.[code]
I've created a movie, and have decided that I want to change the timing of one element in the middle of it. I have searched and searched but can't find any way to change not only the length of time this element stays on screen, but also all subsequent action, all of which is on different layers.
Surely I don't have to manually move each element on each layer individually? I've been trying to select multiple layers and move the frame I want, hoping that the frames on other layers would also move by the same amount - but no luck.
I was making multiple remote calls and they are done sequentially and when I am getting a result event back it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument . I am supposed to receive the result event only in the method given inthe event listener but it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument.
I have been working on a flex uploader, where the user can select multiple files.It works fine when the files are uploaded in a queue (one at a time), however as soon as I try to have it upload 2 files at once I run into issues.
It seems that files will often lock up, and either stay at 1% until every other file is uploaded, or just not complete at all. There is never more than one file uploading at a time.Is there some issue with calling .upload on multiple files at once in Flex?
I have created an AIR application that makes use of Flash' build in capability of taking multi touch gestures (TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_ZOOM & TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_ROTATE)
It works fine on my Mac using the computers trackpad. It also works fine on a Windows 7 machine with a touchscreen attached.
But I can only modify one object at a time. Is that a limitation in Flash or is it possible to modify more objects at the same time and that way possible to make a multi-user multi-touch application?
Here's the issue. I have a movie with 8 different movie clips on the stage. Each one is just a simple animation with a button. When the movie runs, all the movie clips run their respective animations until they hit a stop action in the middle. The stop basically seperates the intro from the outro of each clip. Once the user clicks a button, I want all of the other movie clips to start playing again and then load the next movie, depending on which button was clicked. So the button AS, in plain english speak, would be something like this:onRelease, make movie clips a, b and c play then load movieXYZ.swf to main stage.
I have five videos playing at the same time in a .swf. They are each .flv files of the exact same length, I'm keeping them external rather than embedding the files within the Flash, and it's imperative that they each play at the exact same time so I'm avoiding using streaming.They all need to be kept at the same time code as any other of the movies at any given time. Is it possible to make a scrubber or other controls that will allow the viewer to move positions within these videos simultaneously?
How can I add a single control bar to control 2 external FLVs inserted in FLA document so that when scrolled, both FLVs move simultaneously?Is there a better PPT to Video Converter out there than Moyea that I can purchase or even a freeware? Original documents One FLV is a PowerPoint presentation with videos in some slides, converted into FLV using trial version of Moyea PPT to Video ConverterAnother one is an AVI converted into FLV using Super
I saw a similar question posted on Aug 15, 2007 ([URL].. but the "Look Here" link that describes the solution is not available (removed by Adobe for security reasons).
I have 4 live f4vs that I'm using with interactive server 3.5. Thus they are running in dvr. I'm trying to find a way to control all 4 videos so that when you go back on one video all 4 videos go back to the same time. This is very important with camera 4 as it is the only one with sound.I have tried putting all 4 videos in one swf file and I have tried putting each video as its own swf.
Imagine this scenario:The application is a Game, where the enemy characters can 'attack' the player, and each time they attack the 'Attack.mp3 file is played from the libraryNow my question is, if I have to create a new instance of the MP3 file in the memory, each time playing it, or can i use a 'master' Sound instance ,that I can play multiple times simultaneously.(similarly I can use one 'enemy.jpg' bitmapdata, that I can then copy to the screen with copyPixels, and only having it in the memory just once )IE if i have 50 'Enemy' characters running around the game
Can a html webpage load multiple flash simultaneously which uses FLVplayback component ? Because I am trying to create a webpage then loads and play multiple videos in flv format simultaneously and was thinking of using 3 or more flash file to play the videos.
I would like to have just a single preloader in the beginning of a SWF movie and I want it to show the total download progress of multiple external resources (pictures, sounds, other SWF files, etc.)Is it possible to preload multiple resources in one go and display their total progress with a single preloader?
To be more specific: the movie starts, the preloader loads and gets displayed, then the preloader is displaying 0% progress and builds up to 100% while it loads sounds, images and other SWF files in the background, then when all resources are loaded, preloader goes away and movie continues with the available resources ready to be attached.
I'm working on a "TV" in Flash where I use several videos running at the same time, so the videos tend to be lagging in the beginning. I think I would need a loading bar to show the user when the TV is ready to be turned on. [code]...
I know how to do this for one XML file, but I'm interested in preloading multiple XML files (My data + config settings).
I thought of 2 ways, but I don't think they're very nice programming:
1. Preload the first XML and do another XML.load within the XML.onload. But that way, you get a lot of nested functions if you want to preload more than 2 files.
2. Preload both the XML files at the same time, and use a counter to check if all the XML.onload are executed.

I'm currently making a xml driven photo gallery. The first stage is loading in the thumbnails, each thumbnail will preload individually. I pretty close to acheiving this except my current script only loads in the first jpeg. I have tried everything and I jsut can't find a problem. Anyway my code is below if anyone gets a chance to look. Sorry its a bit hefty. I think the problem is with the ThumbLoadingEnterFrame and LoadNextThumb functions.
PHP Code:
count = 0; var thumbImage = new Array(); var thumbClip = new Array(); var jpegImage = new Array();
I know how to preload and load external swfs into my flash mx movies... however, now I have to load more than one at a time and play them when they are all loaded.I suspect I must incorporate some sort of array into my preload function but do not knowhow...
this is how im trying to preload external swf files:
[code]...
i am loading first four swf files from swf directory (page1.swf, page2.swf, page3.swf, page4.swf) - However, I WOULD LIKE THEM TO BE INVISIBLE WHEN THEY ARE PRELOADED TO THE STAGE.. how should i do that.. "fileLoad._visible = false;" does not work
Here's a simple problem I am having. I have a website made up from multiple swfs. Which open up over the index swf.
What I need to do is load 4 swf files into the memory so the transition between the page loads is smooth. The swfs are only a few kb in size but the delay in loading these (1 second) makes the transitions look very untidy. Once i've clicked on every section then the flashplayer has them stored in the cache so they run smooth, is there anyway just to load these in before the start page has loaded.
However, I have a main movie and in there I open the multiple scenes. If I use the preloader alone with the scenes it works, but when I want to load the preloader that should open the scenes inside the main movie it doesn't do anything.
var l:Loader = new Loader(); l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, loop); l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, done); l.load(new URLRequest("magazine.swf")); function loop(e:ProgressEvent):void{ [Code] .....
In the old situation I use a button goto frame - and on the frame there is actionscript that says: stop(); loadMovie("magazine.swf", 'placeholder'); have changed that to stop(); loadMovie("preloader.swf", 'placeholder');
I have an external SWF which i load into my main SWF with URLloader.... that external SWF includes several FLV-movies. I´m not sure how they have been imported to that SWF, probably with FLV component.... but I´m not sure and I don´t have any idea of possible instance names either.....
My question is that can I still create a preloader that would load all used FLV-files into a cache, my goal is that user could start watching videos directly after pushing play button, without need to wait any buffering...
I know all the names and URLs of those FLV-files if that helps..I´m looking for actionscript 3 solution for my main SWF but if someone knows the way to do it with html-wrapper, that would do as well (I´m using SWFobject for html-wrapper)
I've an SWF which loads dinamically six FLV files controlled by actionscript code.My goal is to guarantee a smooth playback, so I've to do a global preload of each file.So, I've created an array. Each element of this array contains a custom objecte named PreloadFLV that contains a reference to a NetStream object in a field named flv_ns.To process the preloading, I do before a NetStream.seek(1), then NetStream.pause() and then with a Timer I check the percent progress.When the percent progress is equal to 100, I start the clip.This is a small piece of code:
I need to make a preload script that needs to preload all the pages of a websites only once.I have 10 html pages with swf in it that I need to load in only 1 time. At first I had 10 preload script just before every pages but now I need only 1 to preload them all. My second issue is that I have many entry point, someone can enter from the index (1 link to the homepage), the sitemap (links to the 10 pages) or even could simply have the address of a specific page in their bookmarks. So is there a way to write a script that will check if the preload(for the 10 pages) have been done every time someone enter one of the 10 page and if it hasn't it start the preload.
