I have this code...

ActionScript 2.0 :: Movie And Sound - Make The Sound Fade Away When The Mouse Is Rolled Away?

May 18, 2007

I use Flash MX 6.0

1) I have a button and when I put cursor over it, it must start looping a sound. When I drag away, the sound must stop. I would be even cooler if it was possible to make the sound fade away when the mouse is rolled away. I have no problem creating another sound file that fades my current sound away.

2) I have a button which represents a knife, that should stab something (a panel) once pressed. So fist the knife must be clean. but after one or more presses, the blood should remain as a movie clip (as I want to animate the dripping blood)

3) once rolled over a button, the sound must start looping (as I wrote in 1.) AND the knife should slowly go backwards (MC). BUT when I roll mouse away, the sound fades away (as in 1. again) PLUS the knife should slowly move back to its place in stead of just jump from one place to another.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Moving Movie Clip Based On Mouse Position?

Aug 11, 2009

I'm creating a slideshow gallery in flash and am basically there now except for one bit...

have a look here [URL]

The slider at the bottom for the thumbnails moves ok but I want it to stop at the last slide. I

I can manage to code it based on the mc's _x value

i.e if (mc._x < -200){ //do nothing }

but this creates a dead stop and I want a gently slow down like if you were to navigate from thumb 8 back to 1.

all of my coding at the moment uses the mc's x value in relation to the mouse's distance.

The code I have currently set on the slider is:

Code:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if((_root.slidesQTY>6)&&(_root._ymouse>460)){
if(this._x<0){

[Code]....

how I could add another if statement that doesn't halt the animation as it hits the last slide but creates a smooth slow down?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Dynamically Placing Movie Clip At The Angle And Global Position Of A Mouse Click?

Sep 23, 2009

Does anyone know the code for finding the global positioning of X & Y co-ordinates of a click of a button which is constantly rotating, and then secondly the code for when you click on the button it displays a movie clip on top of it -(position of x & y when clicked) at the angle that you clicked it,so underneath the buttons are still rotating so other people can click them where they are?

to explain the context, I'm trying to design a mock up of a circular interactive table Dynamically placing movie clip at the angle and global position of a mouse click (button) which is constantly rotating.when someone comes up to it and clicks on one of the buttons that are moving, it reads where the person clicked it and opens up a new box (movie clip) where they clicked it (at the angle) so its not upside down if you are at the top.

I've included my .fla file which shows the four buttons moving and a little diagram explaining what I'm trying to do.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Controlling Mc.'s Position On Screen?

Jan 19, 2004

I have a mc w/ an invisible button attached to my main stage called mc.return.Attached to the mc.return is the following script:

[AS]on (release) {
mc.blkqueen._x = 275.3;
mc.blkqueen._y = 461;
}[/AS]

The mc.blkqueen has startDrag and stopDrag actions attached to it (which works fine). It has also been instanciated as mc.blkqueen.Seems logical to me that pressing mc.return should place mc.blkqueen at 275x461 - but nothing happens when I test it.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Controlling The Menu's _x Position Dynamically

Apr 13, 2010

I have a 1200 px wide scrolling menu movie clip which is placed on a stage that is 650 px wide (mc menu is approx 2X wider than the movie). It is aligned left to the stage and whenever a user moves the cursor over it - it scrolls itself around _x axis (inverted x axis). Here is the code that works:

ActionScript Code:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root._xmouse, _root._ymouse, true)) {
//take mouse position and invert it

[Code].....

But sometimes during aggressive mouse movement over the menu mc, the mouse position variable goes beyond it's limits (I don't know why, latency error?) by 20-30 px. This makes the menu go way beyond its limits/bounding box and almost completely exits the screen.

I've tried adding mc that registers the movie area, limiting _x axis in the IF statement, but whatever script I make it either: glitches, doesn't move or just goes all over the place.

How can I make the menu mc move only in specified movie area?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Loading SWFs Into Scenes - Controlling Position On Screen

Dec 4, 2002

I have several buttons, that link to several scenes, containing swf files. Using the loadmovie command I can get these swf's playing on-screen. That's good.

-How can I control where they appear on my document (I'd guess these require some x or y values, but not sure how this is done) as they all appear in the top left-hand corner.
- When I mouse over another button (link to scene/swf) how can I remove the previous swf from the page, then load the new swf -as they all appear in the same spot/all over each other? Is this an unload movie command?

I was hoping to counter this problem by using different scenes (no luck there) and all I really need to do is remove the previously loaded swf, when the new one is loaded.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Zoom To Mouse Position Using Mouse Wheel?

Mar 9, 2010

Code:

addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_WHEEL,mouseWheel);
function mouseWheel(event:MouseEvent) {
Map.scaleX = Map.scaleX + event.delta*.01;
Map.scaleY = Map.scaleX;
}

The problem with this code is that it scales from the registration point (0,0). Due to the other transformations I'm doing to this image at various times, it isn't possible to move the registration point. The image is larger than the stage and the user is able to drag it around. I want the mouse wheel to zoom in on the place the mouse is hovering over (or at a minimum...the center of the "view" they have...aka the stage)I tried doing this:

Code:
internalPoint = new Point(Map.mouseX, Map.mouseY);
externalPoint = new Point(stage.mouseX, stage.mouseY);
var matrix:Matrix = Map.transform.matrix;

[code]....

Which, incidentally, I'm using that whole portion of code to zoom into the state they will be in when they use the mouse wheel.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Controlling Position Of Text Fields Based On Varying Height?
